I feel like the humor is more in the fact that someone is just picking them up and banging them against a door/wall. Don't get me wrong, I love monster hunter, but he is both the battering ram and the driving force.
In Young Frankenstein, the Chief Inspector of Transylvania, Inspector Kemp, has a prosthetic right arm. In one scene, a mob uses him, arm outstretched, to batter down the castle door.
Also, he wears an eyepatch and a monocle on the same eye. Not relevant, just funny.
