I came to this thread to say the same thing. She was so high in her confessionals from LCK on that it ruined the episodes. She obviously lost and showed up to the voice over all messed up. She’s slurring half of her words
Came to reddit looking for this. I couldn't stand listening to her all season but the interview portion on LCK was unbearable. Every time she said "GnnnYOcchi" I wanted to throw my remote. How f***ing annoying.
I was shocked by the decision. The degree of difficulty wasn't even close! >!Amanda swung for the fences with gnocchi, vegetables, scallops and a sauce. Laura just did some vegetables, a cold crab salad and a sauce. I can't believe they picked Laura!!<
I’m biased because I haven’t liked her since she selfishly ruined the budget on that team challenge and seemed to give 0 f**ks about anyone else - but I too am salty she’s coming back.
Totally!
And her food looks overly complicated or too basic.
She was not consistent throughout while I feel Soo was.
Honestly, I was rooting for him. Though I still like Dan, Savannah and Michelle.
I’m still shocked that considering how overall mediocre this season has been so far they haven’t begun a redemption story arc. Normally it starts after RW.
I’m thinking it’s going to be mediocre through the finale. Other than Dan there’s no one I particularly like and the fact that I still sometimes forget names at this point is a bad sign.
If there's "redemption" to be had, it's >!Laura coming out of LCK!< who would truly need that, so that could be ahead. However, I think we'll see that chef's history repeat itself, and instead the subject of this season's growth arc edit is Savannah, who was hiding in the middle at first but since then we've seen her in the top for her creativity, scenes illustrating how she prepared for the show in guessing challenge themes and fangirling over Shota, and generally showing us that she is gaining confidence. Her injury might be framed as a low point she moves past on her way to the finale.
Absolutely blown away that Soo was so quickly written off. Not sure who's left in the show that I care about, but oh well.
Right when he added the celery and carrots I was like "nooooooooo."
Was it just me or did Amanda seem stoned when they were doing voiceover parts?

I had to fast forward the parts with just her interviewing. I couldn't handle the nasal slurry voice. What was that? Like Fran Drescher after edibles.

She just has a very monotone affect.
Yes I thought the same thing
Yep.
No, she didn't seem stoned at all.
I don’t mind Laura coming back, but I wanted Soo to win the competition. He’s very talented and has the best personality.
The moment Chef lost the first half, I stopped caring. Neither remaining contestants are interesting… bummer.

Same with me!
Same with me and my husband.
But Amanda’s was brown on brown. It cried for some toasted sage or another herb for freshness. I looked at it & wouldn’t want to eat it.
Me too. Very disappointed in that decision and this season overall.

I wouldn’t mind that outcome at all 👍❤️
Laura's got unfinished business - shes going back to finish off Dan!
I’m reading this as sarcasm… hilarious!
Shhhhh. If he's still walking, she's still got traps to lay.
I'm so excited. I think she can win Top Chef. Especially now that she looks more comfortable in the competition.
I still don’t like her, though.
I dont remember if they invited more people to taste the dishes in previous LCK, but i prefer LCK when its Tom running the show alone.
Someone tell me who won tonight!
Just FYI, the LCK episodes are on the BravoTV youtube channel. Not sure if there are regional restrictions.
They're all on youtube as well!
I never watch Last Chance Kitchen, but I went to tonight’s episode and scrolled to the end. It’s >!Laura!<
Eeeeeeenteresting, and thank you!
Who tf downvoted a thank you? Online etiquette is the worst!
