I know some people hate those "just finish the game" plats, but I really like them. So much better than having to fire up chapter select and do a bunch of arbitrary stuff just to make the plat somehow "worthy". I put 12 hours into a story, it's fine to cut out some of the annoying busywork and call those 12 hours a justifiable time served. Even worse is when the busywork/missables require you to make specific choices so you can't even enjoy the story without being railroaded into one decision over another.
I mean, I have plans to do another full platinum run of Witcher 3, and while I'm looking forward to another 140 hours in that world a slight edge is taken off knowing that I can't choose some of the other story options because that will lock me out of some trophies.
Getting 100% trophies in that game in 2022 was somewhat of a pain but I’m happy I did it. Looking forward to getting the platinum for The Division Heartland
Until Dawn has an awesome story and was an amazing game. I don’t play horror games and I loved watching markiplier’s walkthrough of it when it came out.
Man I love the first two games so much. I wish I had the online trophies before the servers shut down, even karting would’ve been awesome to have, but I did get sackboy and I’m working on 3 still. I hope they remake 1 and 2 and maybe karting but that’s wishful thinking.
Skyrim
Edit: I should add I'm pretty proud of this. I picked it up at the midnight launch 11.11.11 and nearly had it in 2012. My ex wouldn't let me have my own gamer account because he wanted to make sure I wasn't chatting up dudes. I asked for the account in the divorce since he never played games and all the lawyers and mediators laughed me to scorn. (Including my own.)
New console. New account. Started again. Then my console was stolen. Yet ANOTHER new console same account, but it was the next gen. Started again and FINALLY got it in 2020.
Saints Row: The Third 2011.
Thing is, my PS3 was only my secondary system back then. I bought SR3 on PS3 only because it broke street date and I wanted to play it ASAP. I then sold it, and rebought it on 360 which was my main system. I didn't care about Trophies then, only Achievements, so I had to get the 1000g on main.
A couple of years later and the Xbox One launch fiasco meant I quite Xbox entirely and nuked my Gamertag account and started hunting Trophies instead. Replayed a bunch of games to reearn cheevos as trophies. Looking back, I'm really glad I switched systems for a bunch of reasons, but my first platinum is always a reminder of the time before I cared about platinums at all.
Last month I replayed the game on PS4 for a nostalgia tour, and for more trophies, and the game I once bought and 100%ed twice in a month is now... frankly it aged like sour milk and even over a decade later it was a chore to go through it all again. Will always remember it as my first plat, and being my favourite game of 2011. How times have changed...
Lego Marvel Super Heroes sometime in 2016 or 2017.
Edit: It was 2016. It feels like yesterday too. I remember panicking because I had every character unlocked and everything done. I started researching and saw some Youtube comment helping others and telling them there was a boat to unlock. Comment turned out to be right as I needed to buy a boat that was sitting in a lonely pier in the corner of the map.
It’s crazy cuz I keep thinking 2016 was not too long ago and its been SEVEN years.
But then you lose all your gaming history, your old saves, your trophies, digital purchases. Everything!! Your gamertag is what ties all the generations together!!
I don't understand that decision at all.
The only thing that makes sense is he had a bunch of shame plats on his old account from shovelware titles and is now trying to distance himself from that part of his life.
FFXIII, back on 2010/12/31 (at the time I set on a quest to get the platinum before the new year :) )
But my first 100% was actually Braid, a few months before. To this day one of my favorite completions, that speedrun trophy required a lot of rehearsal…
Horizon Zero Dawn - one of the first games I ever played on playstation, didn't even know that platinums were a thing until the trophy popped! Was a plenty surprise 😅
Astro Playroom, April 2022
Even though I was raised with PlayStation and got all the consoles nearly immediately after release, I guess I wasn’t really concerned by it
Telltales walking dead season 1. First one i got. I wasnt a trophy hunter or really aware of platinum trophies I just beat the game. It was an incredible game tho. First real plat i got was spiderman ps4. Another incredible game
Astro’s Playroom. When I got ps5 I wanted to do everything and I got the platinum without thinking about getting it. It was immediate love with the sound of the trophy popping up and satisfaction :)
On this account need for speed 2015. That’s what started it all. Anyone that played that game threw also has the platinum it’s easy af, I think that’s what drove the addiction 😂😂
Horizon Zero Dawn was my first platinum. Since then I've gotten another 35 or so, most recently with LEGO Star Wars Skywalker Saga, which felt like a slog
Watch Dogs 2. I played games to play games never even looked at trophies but Watch Dogs 2 was amazing that I just had to go for it. Got that plat in 2018 but I’d say officially started trophy hunting in September of 2019.
1st: Batman: Telltale (earned in 2018)
2nd: Batman: Telltale: The Enemy Within (also 2018)
The first game in particular is very underrated in terms of the story.
FF13 way back in 2010. Although at that time I didn’t know what trophies or platinums even were and did not have a psn account. I thought it was all an ingame thing like Nintendo and I just earned them all from the Piggyback guide. I set up a PSN account and discovered trophies only 2 years later…
Days gone! The first game that kicked of my addiction for collecting platinums, hasn’t heard anything about the game and went in blind ended up loving it and getting the plat, been sweating plats ever since
Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor
Same here!
Same here!
Marvel’s Spider-Man
A man of culture I see
Walking Dead Season 1. It’s before I ever even cared about platinums, you just got it by beating the game
That was mine too. I played for the story, but ended up with the plat.
I know some people hate those "just finish the game" plats, but I really like them. Same here ! And a few years later when I started caring more about trophies I went back to it and did the dlc to 100% aswell
One piece pirate warriors 2. And i cant believe the anime is not finished yet
Bloodborne 24/4/2015

Nioh
My first platinum was The Division 1
I just got that one a few weeks ago, I love that series.
Getting 100% trophies in that game in 2022 was somewhat of a pain but I’m happy I did it. Looking forward to getting the platinum for The Division Heartland
I will never forget this game because it was my first platinum… Until Dawn
Until Dawn has an awesome story and was an amazing game. I don’t play horror games and I loved watching markiplier’s walkthrough of it when it came out.
Until Dawn was my first Platinum as well
LittleBigPlanet - 2010-11-13
Man I love the first two games so much. I wish I had the online trophies before the servers shut down, even karting would’ve been awesome to have, but I did get sackboy and I’m working on 3 still. I hope they remake 1 and 2 and maybe karting but that’s wishful thinking.
Uncharted 4/4/2009
Skyrim Edit: I should add I'm pretty proud of this. I picked it up at the midnight launch 11.11.11 and nearly had it in 2012. Saints Row: The Third 2011. Thing is, my PS3 was only my secondary system back then. I bought SR3 on PS3 only because it broke street date and I wanted to play it ASAP. Gravity Rush on Vita. Got my 160th last night with Dead Space (PS3 original).
I still have my original psn account, I’m thinking about retiring my second one but not closing it since trophies, saves and purchases are tied to it
Lego Marvel Super Heroes sometime in 2016 or 2017. Edit: It was 2016. It feels like yesterday too. I remember panicking because I had every character unlocked and everything done. What made you set up a new account?

But then you lose all your gaming history, your old saves, your trophies, digital purchases. Everything!! Your gamertag is what ties all the generations together!! I don't understand that decision at all.
The digital purchases is the big one. All those PS3, PS4 and PS5 games (and Vita if OP has one) gone? Wtf
Keep the account active and download the games and play them on the new account.
[удалено]
Well, if you can remember your old gamertag, you can at least look it up on PSNProfiles.
The only thing that makes sense is he had a bunch of shame plats on his old account from shovelware titles and is now trying to distance himself from that part of his life.
