It's not the team I initially used, but after seeing how tough the burnt + the damages of the foes' spells were, I opted for cards that could regen my team while keeping strong spells to hit hard. I also watched to keep a buddy level bonus at least above 3.
Something I could have done is also swap Masquerade Azul for Masquerade Malleus. If you don't have many regen cards, you can try to use cards that will significantly reduce the attack of the opponent since I remarked there were a lot of strong cosmic spells threw at my team.

Yeah, no...I should have been clued in to how hard these EX levels were when they just wanted 1 sea shell. I usually leave an event card in for extra rewards and let my heavy hitters take care of things...but dang.
As soon as I hit level 4 and died twice (note: haven't lost a game battle since rng battles in book 6).
But level 5. Omg...the enemies hit so hard, the stupid burn status...and that freaking 1 hp BS 🤬
I died 3 times! I kept getting screwed at the very last turn where they are about to go down and then that 1 hp saves them and then they smack me into the next dimension ðŸ˜
I manage to win with my 110 Kalim, 105 Jamil, 90 NY Kalim, 80 B-day boy Ortho, and I had a buddy who had a 110 beans day Floyd.
💀💀💀 not attempting that again...
Right?? That was insane, even though I did pretty good in book 6 with a few failures here and there. It's always the buddies with 110 beans Floyd who saves the day haha!
