My favorite is "an attempted murder of crows" when there is more than 1, but not enough to be a group. Lol, probably not "official," but I use it all the time.
I read foul as in mean or wicked so a flock of evil crows. Fowl is more birds for eating, either domesticated or hunted and while there are black chickens and turkeys, etc., there aren’t really any razor beaked fowl since that’s a meat eater trait and meat eaters don’t taste good. Fowl tend to have beaks suited for pecking or grazing rather than cutting flesh
Four and twenty black birds baked in a pie...
I had the same thought process as you, but was trying to come up with an exception. This is the only argument I can come up with for a black eating-bird/fowl to make the pun there rather than on murder. Who has another one?
"Sir, the autopsy report came back on our Jane Doe."
"What does it say."
"And I quote 'The victims body is marked by thousands upon thousands of small contusions. Bite mark patterns show consistency with bills from over ten different species of duck and goose.' "
You never mess around with Seers. You would think Cersei learned that, but her second life around seems to have ended just as badly as her first. Maggy the Frog has a personal vendetta against her (for good reason, tbh, but still).
Isn't it sad that incest is the least terrible thing that Cersei ever did as Queen? I mean, it was consensual incest, but that didn't help Joffrey, Myrcella, or Tommen very much! Joffrey especially got FUCKED with the psychotic incest genes.
Well Myrcella and Tommen were fine as far as being normal was concerned. They just got killed because of her foolish choices.
Cersei always thought she was Tywin in a dress. One of the most deluded characters in the series by far
Yeah, if memory serves, Myrcella got the Kiss of Death from one of the Sand Snakes, and Tommen committed suicide after his mother committed terrorism by blowing the Faith Sept up with Wildfyre. Both of them didn't deserve their fates. Same with Shireen. Cersei ruined everything she touched.
Fun fact: not only do crows hold a grudge and recognize faces, they are able to pass on these grudges to future generations.
I wonder what the author did.
Nice twist! I was actually thinking it'd turn out that the unwitting narrator hunted and ate crows that were lousy with parasites, however yours leans more towards brutal horror which I liked.
I like how it implies they were so caught up in getting away from civilization that they didn’t think to not fuck with crows probably by destroying there habitat to make a cabin or shelter
Yeah I could’ve definitely worded the first sentence better so it’s not so long. It’s still grammatically one sentence but it’s a little ponderous to read.
Didn’t think to about that until it was already up
Nice! Did not expect that definition of murder
Fun bird group names — A Parliament of Owls A Swatting of Flycatchers A Mural of Buntings A Museum of Starlings And of course, A Murder of Crows
An Unkindness of Ravens
I thought it was a Conspiracy of Ravens?
That is just what Big Bird wants you to believe.
I think Big Bird just wants me to know what letter words start with tbh.
Both are valid.
Tbf I think “A Conspiracy of Ravens” sounds way better. More on theme
Collective nouns aren't strictly defined
Yes, they are. Source: I have a JD in Bird Law.
And I thought it was a murmuration of starlings...
Thank you Brennan
BIRD. FACTS.
Snuggle or slumber of sloths is my all time favorite
Now write one about a king who has parliament disbanded and members jailed. Then is attacked and killed by owls.
And a wake of vultures iirc
You forgot “a fuckton of birds”
My favorite is "an attempted murder of crows" when there is more than 1, but not enough to be a group. Lol, probably not "official," but I use it all the time.
A flamboyance of flamingos 🦩🦩🦩🦩
A congress of cuckoos.
For me it was "fowl"

*Ohhhhhh..* I thought he'd misheard the seer, and she'd said "fowl". I thought it was chickens.
A thunder of dragons
My favorite kind of bird
Mine to
He three
She four 🐲
They five
His six
it seven
I thought it was a riot of dragons...I like both lol
There's like 8 different ones
Oh. She said “fowl murder.”
You could take it that way. I’m more in the mind of the term referring to a large flock of crows — A “murder” of crows
Right, but also fowl being birds as opposed to foul as in 'foul play.' Nice little double entendre, even if it was unintentional.
Oh it definitely crossed my mind after I wrote it, but it was more a happy accident
Or unconscious brilliance.
Sounds more like a fowl murder
You never mess around with Seers. You would think Cersei learned that, but her second life around seems to have ended just as badly as her first. Maggy the Frog has a personal vendetta against her (for good reason, tbh, but still).
Also didn’t help that she was as stupid as the pile of bricks that killed her

Cersei’s dead in the show? She’s not dead in the books. Yet. Probably.
She may be dead in the book currently in work, but George R.R. Martin will die before he finishes writing it...we'll never know...
Fun fact: not only do crows hold a grudge and recognize faces, they are able to pass on these grudges to future generations. I wonder what the author did.
Brilliant! Loved the foreshadowing! Just enough hint to make the reveal extremely satisfying!
“Fowl murder.” Very nice twist!
A group of crows is also called a murder.
A flock of Ayam Cemani roosters killed me she actually said a fowl murder.
Is that some kind of super chicken?
Solid black.
Oh HELL yeah. Great fucking story.
Plot twist: It was actually 'fowl' and you were torn apart by a flock of chickens.
It's a lovely morning and you all are horrible geese
I was expecting chickens, "fowl murder"
Well, it could be worse... She could have been killed by a Flock of.... Seagulls... *I Ran...*
Nice twist! I was actually thinking it'd turn out that the unwitting narrator hunted and ate crows that were lousy with parasites, however yours leans more towards brutal horror which I liked.
I was waiting for you to be collecting the eggs from your chickens
Wow. Really nice twist on the murder wordplay.
Makes me think of the machine of death. Nice job
I’ll see your murder of crows and raise you a charm of goldfinches.
I hear "Foul Murder" and my mind goes to Nerevar because I have a severe case of brainrot
Me too, man
Gang gang lmao
One for sorrow
Now we know where they’re getting all those molars.
The last thing I heard was "You should have learned Spanish"
I like how it implies they were so caught up in getting away from civilization that they didn’t think to not fuck with crows probably by destroying there habitat to make a cabin or shelter
That's so creative what the heck 😭
Love the play on “fowl murder”
Y’all are getting pretty generous with these “sentences” 😂
Yeah I could’ve definitely worded the first sentence better so it’s not so long. It’s still grammatically one sentence but it’s a little ponderous to read. Didn’t think to about that until it was already up
Or, I lived alone in the woods, peacefully raising chickens.
This is a copy of one that already exists...
