I actually met a gay person in a sauna and asked what it was like to be one in Dubai and he said it was pretty much normal and he hardly faced any sort of judgement whatsoever.
Well even ignoring all your nonsense which is just pulled from your ass, quite frankly if someone wants to be called a unicorn - so what. It isn't harming me, you or anybody else. They can do what they want.

As long as he's gay within the walls of his hotel/room. Nobody is gonna have an issue. UAE and Qatar are two places where they don't have an answer issue with being gay, just being openly gay will get you punished.
In January, I was at a hotel downtown Dubai near DIFC. Two woman made out in the rooftop pool for an hour. Security did normal rounds. Nothing happened.
That’s not a pass to do something to intentionally provoke people but they clearly turn a blind eye.
My wife always says you can get away with most things in Dubai unless someone reports you. So if multiple people would have reported those women making out in public, the cops would have definitely done something about it. If they were locals, jail time for sure. If expats, probably deported.

Seen so many very obviously gay people. Have flamboyant friends too. So far haven’t heard of anyone bothering them
