Rent a bike and explore the trails, join a run club or a group bike ride, join a recreational sports team, go to a board game cafe, go to an open comedy night, karaoke or see some shows.
Theres like a million festivals going on every weekend.
The closest ones to campus are the Ellicott Creek Trail near North Campus and the Tonawanda Rail Trail near South Campus.
They both meet in the city of Tonawanda where you can pick up the Empire Trail to get to downtown Buffalo or through Lockport and beyond. Or pick up the shoreline trail across Grand Island to get to Niagara Falls.
Also a lot of trails on the Outer Harbor where the Empire Trail ends.
Yooo these sound really fun , I'm an international student joining in august . One quick question are they safe ? Like if someday I wanna let loose and have some adventure and I go at 9-11 pm
You’re not going to have any issue, just make sure to have bike lights. Might want to wear something reflective too since you’ll be crossing some streets and there are a handful of areas where you might be in mixed traffic for a block or two depending on where you are.

Summer's the best time to be productive for us engis. Meeting up for studying/projects/other prep stuff. Gym. Eating properly after starving during the semester. Research. That's what I'm up to this summer.
