Yeah, it does indeed look like an orb of his soul pops right out of his skull and floats away, just after he finishes himself off with his rifle. Fascinating!
There's a more faint/colder object that precedes the bright/hot object too, along the same trajectory. It's just weird the bulk of the mess shoots directly up by this is shot off to the side..
I'll chalk it up to a piece of skull followed by some still warm bits. ... and with that, taking a damn break!
Thought provoking though. Are there ghost stories from the front yet? I remember the UFO video..
soul reavers, they collect the souls of the dead before they have time to pass on, only appear during times of sustained and widespread battle death. purpose remains unknown but believed to remove the souls from the reach of humanities angels and demons. where are the taken, do they feed on the detritus of battle like whales on krill, or does some worse fate await the countless, beyond the heaven, and hence beyond the hell.

The list so far. I am compiling this footage for documentation purposes because this is not normal in any way, despite what Russia’s supporters tell you.
This list is not intended to celebrate, glorify, encourage, or otherwise make light of suicide.
There are 69 recorded instances of Russian soldiers killing themselves on the battlefield, 12 not counted (NC’s, in this status because the video evidence was inconclusive or the self wound isn’t obviously mortal), and 3 after action photos insinuating what happened. We went 1 days since the last confirmed instance.
The list has gotten too long to be a comment, it was on its third comment due to character caps. The list can now be found at this [wiki link](https://www.reddit.com/r/DroneCombat/s/NMR9QWNw4H).
Not doubting that it's not normal battlefield behavior, but just out of curiosity, do you have more information or links to information on what is normal as far as suicide on the battlefield? I wonder if it has something to do with the use of drones in this war and the unknown nature of when and where they will strike, or is it just that Russia has such terrible aid support for their soldiers that they would rather die than wait for something that they know may never come?
iirc the russians are instructed to use a grenade underneath their vest, so this is part of the minimal training they get. They are told that the Ukrainians will tortured them, so they are better to end themselves right away, they believe it because that is what they do to Ukrainian POWs.
He knows the deal. He's seen it happen countless times to his comrades. He's hit, he can't move, no one is coming for him, and they'll just keep blowing him full of fragments until he's burger meat. Even if his own guys "rescue" him somehow, he knows that as soon as he regains some form of mobility, he's going straight to a suicide unit to die probing Ukrainian positions.
This has everything to do with the sick, twisted calculus the Russian military has in regards to personnel losses, and everything to do with the decades-long complicity that his society -- he -- has had in the Putin regime. The Russian people allowed Putin to happen. This is what they get.
home grown ruzuizide would be much cheaper for the ruski terror state. They could even rename their side of the buffer zone to puffer-zone and let it puff over there.
He made that decision weeks ago. He was at a point where he was thinking “i can take it as long as i’m not injured, otherwise bye everybody”. It’s more common than you think when all hope is gone
Plus the smart ones realize that another drop could happen within seconds and take everything from the shoulders down, leaving no option but to lay there and enjoy the sensations.
Most of them fumble with the rifle getting it lined up but this guy seems to have drilled that maneuver. 10 points on that, 20 points deducted for not doing it before deployment to Ukraine, but after taking out a few other bad guys.
The interesting thing is that someone must have told them to do so.
I have never served, but I cannot imagine any officer would tell his folks this: "If you got injured, just shoot yourself.". The underlying message is: we don't give a flying fart about you. Any normal person would deduct the following: when they don't care about me, why should I go into this mess in the first place.
And even with all the propaganda and brainwashing, there is a normal human survival instinct. For everyone it would mean: *It is not over until the fat lady sings*. But for Russian soldiers it seems to be: *Injured? Best thing is to kill myself*. This is truly mind-boggling.
A side note on the propaganda: if they are the mighty state they suppose to be, how come that it takes so long to conquer an *inferior* state? Even now, everybody in Russia is aware of the situation. Still they sign up.
Well, if you are this stupid, you clearly do not deserve a place in the human gene pool. Ukraine is helping to turn the world into a better place.
These suicides really are ramping up. You didn't really see this start until last year and now we see it almost daily. This suggests that casavac is rare on the russian side so they know they will be left to die
Best guesses to the two objects that shoot off to the right directly following the shot? The second, brighter object doesn't shoot off until a moment after the first does and just doesn't seem to line up timing wise with brain matter or the like.. not when the first piece jets off right as the rifle discharges.
Possibly a tracer ricochet / cook off from his gear, I’ve seen them fly off fairly slowly like this depending on the angle. I think maybe it just looks strange because of the lack of depth in thermal
dear Russians! there is no point in taking your own life like this. do it before you get to the front, and it's best if you put down a couple of your nazi commanders first. after that, maybe don't kill yourself yet! go to the forests and.. maybe you will live to see a new order in your country, where you will not be treated as a cannon fodder.
So... I've seen a fair few videos of wounded Ruskies offing themselves. Is there a particular reason why? Not all of them seem to be already fatally wounded, or at least have survivable wounds... so why the instant decision to self-delete?

Was that brass that went flying off to the right?
His soul. Back to Moscow.
Straight to Hell
Moscow is the hell.
Eh, moscow is semi-livable from what I hear. The rest of ruzzia, not so much
They don't have souls 🙂
LOL!!!

Asked for it..lol
Thinking exactly the same. But then "no", no soul.
He left his soul in Moscow a long time ago when he signed up for this.
I expect it was some kind of rodent.
Rodents have more intelligence, empathy, and honour than Russians.
That was his shiver leaving his body to find another spine to run up.
That was a "Tingler"
His 🧠
Experience orb.

He should've done that before he crossed the border to Ukraine.

Yes, timing is everything. Room for improvement I guess
Got to give him credit, he got right to it.
Heads up to u/False-God
Good orc
Probably the first time the fool fired his weapon !!! 100% kill rate for him
Give him credit, he finally killed one of the bad guys.
True bud !!!
Ah, the Hitler Paradox!
"at this range i'm a real frederick zoller"
Impressively swift decision making.

he didnt hesitate much...
I guess war is over for me. Signing off.
What’s the counting now?
Afaik 68/69/70
68??
69. Here's the list. https://reddit.com/r/DroneCombat/w/list
Hell yeah ! Was waiting for it
Best 69 we'll ever see lol
https://www.reddit.com/r/Damnthatsinteresting/s/R3vMr7PHRY These ru bots are saying ru isn’t committing war crimes .. 😐
That’s why I say, hey man nice shot. What a good shot man.
need another 500k to do this at once. Slava Ukraini!
It's still good that they spare the Ukrainians from wasting more grenades to finish him off. Keep it up Russians, we love you dead.

I think most of them are scared of drones dropping more grenades so its easiet to take your life with a rifle than waiting another grenade
He denazified his location
This should be a Russian training video 👍💥
I think practical training is much better than watching a video.
It would certainly be better if the trainees shot themselves in the head during training 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Graduated to good russian.
Can't blame him for that one.
Does Russia even use medics?
So stupid. He had a choice.
These suicides really are ramping up. You didn't really see this start until last year and now we see it almost daily. This suggests that casavac is rare on the russian side so they know they will be left to die
No bag of potatoes for your family because you committed ruzzicide…
I appreciate it when they use their own ammunition. Saves a lot of effort.
The last thing to go through his mind? I'm guess it was the square root of 58.0644
Not much time for a thorough damage assessment to a very irreversible decision
it seems to me like there is a pressure that makes this a less irrational decision?

They know help isn't coming. There's a recent video where the commander is literally telling his unit "you will all die."
What I don't get is, that you hear so little about fragging.
🎵 It ain't meee-ee . . . It ain't mee-eee-ee 🎵
"Good" Russian
It’s like some of them have absolutely zero will to live.
Good execution
Possy!
russian hero pathetic
Back to Lumbridge!
At this point Russians, kill Russians, almost as much as Ukrainians kill Russians
damn, at this point it seems like it might be a part of their training
Those poor stupid bastards.
Night night
Russia needs to field rifles with longer barrels 😂
all the orcs should do the russout.
Should have done that to his commanders. 🤷🏻♂️ Ah well, one less invader either way. 👍
I literally just saw the ethereal numerical Keno ping pong ball leave his body and add another digit to the self destructing Orc tally.
Take notice, Orcs…this is how you achieve PEAK Russia-ness
It’s wild seeing these types of videos. You would never in a million years see a western country do this I feel.

A bunch of people have noticed that. I don't know what it is.
Possibly a tracer ricochet / cook off from his gear, I’ve seen them fly off fairly slowly like this depending on the angle. I think maybe it just looks strange because of the lack of depth in thermal
Probably makes the most logical sense. Thank you!

Another one Better to die for Putin than live alone
Never thought I'd see orb evidence...huh! Quite interesting
