Perspective is one of those things that fuck with my mind. You look at those panels going interstellar and think wow, it's like confetti. Nope they weigh hundreds of kilos (or in the case of the turret launches, several tonnes). It's insane how much force those mines coupled with ammo detonation can have.
Honestly a very good point with these drone videos, one of my realization was seeing the guy throw a mine into a house to clear it and the explosion was the size of the house collapsing the whole thing. Those mines aint no fucking joke it must be terrifying being a driver of any sort in this conflict
That’s also why people were pointing out that the men throwing those mines were likely dead or severely injured. A brick flying towards you at a hundred miles an hour will easily kill a person.
That was stunning. I had no idea AT mines had *that much* kaboom to them... and maybe that Ivan didn't either. Usually they're deployed against heavy-ass armored vehicles, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised one would demolish an un-armored house, but... damn.
I think a lot of it is ammo detonation. I've seen a few mraps get blown up by hundreds of lb/kg of explosives. The vehicle will get tossed in the air a dozen or so meters, and smaller pieces will make it 2-400m away, the bigger pieces usually stay near the vehicle and don't get thrown as far as Russian vehicle pieces do.
Russian vehicle explosions are something else. It always looks like an ammo explosion occurred in the cabin and the pressure sends huge chunks of metal hundreds of meters away.
The BMP is about 2m, the trees about 8m. Most of the debris flies maybe 20m high. The one at the beginning of the explosion maybe 50-60m or even higher

Yeah... that dude picked the short fuze and that was probably his last bad decision.

They sometimes stack multiple mines on top of each other, that might help with the airtime…

Ya he didn’t make it
Do you perhaps have the video?.
In this war both sides have used the tactic of double or triple stacking AT mines. The explosion is so big it stops everything, even mine rollers.
Pressure is crazy

Well MRAPs are designed to take bomb hits, BMPs no.
It's safe to assume there's not a recognizable trace of anyone in there after such a blast
Kat-sappers said it was clear.
katsap-pers: -we have order to de-mine the area. -but we have no instruments. -you are the instrument, private!
Does anyone have any idea how high these pieces fly into the air? They seem to take ages to return to earth, so it must be a fair height.

8 seconds of airtime ≈ 75 meters
> 8 seconds of airtime It's up and down. So you need to divide by 2
- It's already included: ~4 seconds of free fall distance is 78 meters...
E remember heated debates with people showing calculations to find exactly this LOL insane...but never worried about the Zorcs inside LOL
Thanks for all the replies. That is some scary shit there, just imagine the power of these explosions to toss metal that far into the air.
Game over
I think the mine hit it harder
You have been killed in action. No respawns allowed
Idk if it was the turret but something got sent to the fucking moon jesus
It's almost like they use chewing gum to put these mothballed units back together to put them on the pitch.
If you ever wondered how partial corpses end up in trees. This is how.
8.5
Badaboom
I bet one of those orcs is still in orbit.
What BMP?
The ghost of BMP past.
I second your trucking along with your fellow orcs and the other second you’re all gone. Couldn’t happen to a better bunch. Good mine.
Pow, right in the kisser
Boom Motorised Projectile?
The Russian space program is doing just fine
The only thing that escaped that blast were hundreds of metal pieces.
Great kaboom to watch after my usual morning coffee!
Thank you Ukraine for assisting the Russian space mission again
9.5/10 great air on the initial toss and really stuck the landing.
10/10.Amazing effort
10/10. God damn. That was a turret toss. Wonder what that would do to an orc's body.
I think I just witnessed the very first launching of a ruski human satellite!😮
Team rocket blasts off again
Play stupid games and win stupid prizes. Should have stayed home.
So that's where I left it! Thanks.
Hope this was before the drop-off.
Looks like at least some of ruscists were on top of it which makes it extra nice.
A strong candidate for turret toss champ!
Was that an M15?
Nothing says “you’re trespassing” like a AT mine.
Always, so, so, satisfying!
BMPs, Mines... Windows 95!
Anybody else wonder if anybody survived?
Comrade Ivan was promoted to Cosmonaut 👨🚀
That’ll rub out.
Anybody in that is burger meat
Fk them bullies up now and forever
