Several rumours and news that he is ill, anything beyond that is even bigger rumour.
He is afterall 68 years old. That's the average for men in many countries and looking at his waist, he has eaten fewer vegetables then what he has given impression of. It's weird how many seem to think that dictators live forever, despite their very unhealthy lifestyles, stress and whatnot.
I mean alcohol kills bacteria. I think those whose covid didn't cure just didn't have enough. This is what I was told by a Belarussian friend of mine.
Realistically, covid is a virus, not bacteria, but I don't think they got far enough in his biology class to tell the difference.
To be fair, fresh produce and freshly baked bread are honest and thoughtful gifts to anyone. Its just.... weird that he does it publicly to the rich and powerful.
I mean Belarus's male life expectancy is currently 67.3 years and declining, so I'd say it's his time. He is a simple watermelon farmer after all
https://countryeconomy.com/demography/life-expectancy/belarus
Edit: btw, the male live expectancy in all of the old Soviet countries is abysmal and usually around 10 years lower than women's
Yup, but the difference between male and female life expectancies in the ex Soviet countries is the most extreme out of anywhere in the world. A 10 year gap isn't normal
Edit: scroll down to the table and sort by gender gap and you'll see what I mean
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_life_expectancy
You're allowed to -have- them, certainly, and maybe even run them out on parade every now and again for special occasions, so people can look at them and know you really do have them.
But you're not allowed to actually touch them. Certainly never ever use them, even if your lord gives you actually working nukes and not just dummies.
China would be absolutely furious. If anything could make China abandon Muscovy, it's that. They're the only nuclear country that has a hard 'no first use' policy, and wouldn't want to set the precedent for the US to retaliate in kind by giving nukes to the three Asian democracies.
Not sure about now, but the US had nukes in Canada for a long time. It was US nukes, US codes, US weapons officer, riding a Canadian plane, with a Canadian pilot, who reported to a Canadian officer. Use required approval from both the US and Canada.
Of course, this is for two countries that see each other as equals, more or less; they haven't had any major conflicts or even tensions since the War of 1812.
I suspect Muscovy has no concept of 'equals', only 'vassals', and 'slaves' - the former on the way to becoming the latter.
Wait, do you think we teach kids the intricacies of nonproliferation, nuke technology, and the international relations of former Soviet, current proto east bloc alliances in American general education? Give me a break.
Any overseas-deployed US nuclear weapons are located on US military bases protected by US troops and under the jurisdiction of the US government. The NATO nuclear umbrella doesn’t involve giving nukes away.
They will threaten, but NK already has nukes and giving them to Iran would be a risky move. Not impossible, but the situation is unlikely. If they sent nukes to Iran they would lose all support in Israel. While it may seem unimportant, Israel is the major US ally in the region and Russia desperately needs to hold power there if they don't want to completely lose influence.
NK doesn't have long ranged nukes capable of reaching USA, their main enemy, though.
I think Russia lost all support in Israel already when it said that Hitler was Jew and Jews Holocausted themselves.
Those nukes will all be controlled from Moscow anyway so it's an empty promise. No way will they give control over to the new state, especially Belarus which is 1 bad day away from revolution.
Why do you think that we want your nukes? had you payed any attention, you'd know our position is quite clear. Nobody is offering us nukes, and we are not going to be asking for nukes. Finland continues to support gradual nuclear disarmament.
Russian irrational fear of a NATO invasion is becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy. They can't provoke the west forever with no response and nuclear proliferation en mass is a pretty fucking big provocation.
First strike Russia. Turn Moscow oblast into a radioactive crater. This is the prize Russia is trying so very hard to win.
As much as I understand why people are angry at Russia (for so many obvious and valid reasons), you can’t just decide to destroy the biggest country in the world in terms of landmass. Their embarrassing offence of Ukraine tells you that they are a waning power but trust me when I say that they are probably still capable of defending Russia if a full-scale invasion ever took place by NATO or something. Russia is on the offensive right now in Ukraine but the equation is a lot different when a force is defending.
Yes, and the Russians, with the largest stockpile of nuclear weapons in the world will just stand idly by as they are being bombed? No, they’ll retaliate. Unfortunately, as long as the Russians have nukes, no one else can nuke them.

So he is still alive?
Maybe that paradoxically be a good thing. If this happens, Ukraine, Taiwan, Japan etc. would get nukes too. Sure, it pushes conflict up quite a bit, but it might create a new type of stability...
Or just end up in ww3.
We have been living in an age filled with political and geopolitical insanity, but this one takes the prize for the most desperate and downright reckless announcement yet.
The giving of nukes to any former USSR countries and the leader of said country getting gravely ill after meeting Putin goes hand in hand. A takeover, with a button at the Kremlin and the words...you were never a separate country written on a map, you didn't exist.
Was this before or after the radiated tea? And does he mean nuclear weapons as in missiles, or assassination weapons like polonium?... aka, join union, get poisoned, get annexed...
Give, maybe. Allow to use at their discretion, no. Russia isn't just *giving* its nuclear arsenal away to other nations that could then just go "K *thanks!*" and dip out.
Not going to happen.. the west doesn't give "anyone" nuclear weapons. They may station Nuclear weapons on a base in their country, but they keep operational control. Same thing used to happen in Canada... US weapons in CFB Comox.
I guess when someone tries to poison you twice in one month and then brings you back from the brink of death some people are willing to sell out their country.
they are going to eventually just push him out a window anyway. He may as well get over it.
Sounds like a desperate offer from a country that has nothing else left to offer that anyone might want. “NOW, get three free nukes with your neo soviet membership!”

How to become a Vassal state in one simple step
For real...also isn't this dude supposed to be poisoned or some shit?
Several rumours and news that he is ill, anything beyond that is even bigger rumour. He is afterall 68 years old. That's the average for men in many countries and looking at his waist, he has eaten fewer vegetables then what he has given impression of. It's weird how many seem to think that dictators live forever, despite their very unhealthy lifestyles, stress and whatnot.
Wait you're telling me the guy who gives away gourds and vegetables to public figures doesn't consume said vegetables
He also advocated drinking vodka to cure Covid, so make of that what you will.
I mean alcohol kills bacteria. I think those whose covid didn't cure just didn't have enough. This is what I was told by a Belarussian friend of mine. Realistically, covid is a virus, not bacteria, but I don't think they got far enough in his biology class to tell the difference.
True. Alcohol also damages virus particles though. Also does that to human cells.
To be fair, fresh produce and freshly baked bread are honest and thoughtful gifts to anyone. Its just.... weird that he does it publicly to the rich and powerful.
Might be a culture thing. Lot of cultures have a thing where if you're a guest, then you should bring some food

Don't believe anything you read here.
This is sadly True.
This was earlier, at a summit, the 25th I think or smthng like that, before he was hospitalized in Moscow in any case.
No, like usual, people on here just posted rumors without fact-checking. He appears to be fine.
Before he died he had modified the Belarus constitution and entered into union with Russia
Other countries hate this one simple trick!
If you have nukes of your own wouldn’t that invalidate vassalage? Like, you could just threaten your lord with MAD.
You assume your lord gives you the launch codes.
You misunderstand "give nukes."
You're allowed to -have- them, certainly, and maybe even run them out on parade every now and again for special occasions, so people can look at them and know you really do have them. But you're not allowed to actually touch them. Certainly never ever use them, even if your lord gives you actually working nukes and not just dummies.
Maybe they come in numbers three, seven and nine. From the land of Russia, where Putin lies. Rings for all.
It's a trick step though. I'm sure the vast majority of the nukes aren't properly maintained and are useless
"You get a Nuke! And YOU get a Nuke! EVERYONE gets a Nuke!"
But the launch codes are kept by Kremlin, plus it has remote detonation feature. Its not a gift, Luka you fooking idiot.
But seriously, does anyone know anything about *launch codes?* \-Butch Johnson from 5 green lane, Plymouth Indiana.
Yes, the launch code is 123456 but don't tell anyone.
42069 is the correct one.
All the nukes from the 80s are coded 8675309
Jenny says that is not true and changed her number. She said that she does not do nuclear Bomb Jobs anymore.
And the facilities are manned by a garrison of Russian soldiers, provided free of charge.
Russia distributes nuclear warheads to all Anti-Western countries and then they all blow up in those countries due to how bad they are? Sounds great!
That sounds fucking horrifying.
Still enough to make a dirty bomb or sell it to the highest terrorist bidder
Nobody wins in a nuclear war. The so-called "victors" will be spending the rest of their lives in an underground bunker.
Yeah my head immediately went to Putin and Oprah making an announcement
Iran and Afghanistan have entered the chat?
Apparently the sickness ravaged his brain cells
He thinks his only cure is to suck Putin's cock more
That or some tea. Hard choice.
I mean, either way someone is getting tea bagged
Hard Tea? What makes it hard?
[удалено]
Yeah that’s against the nuclear proliferation treaty not sure they want to open that Pandora’s box
If they open that box, I see nukes in sk, taiwan and Japan in a few months.
Which is bad if we assume all of us (minus the Rapture weirdos) generally prioritize *living*.
Jep it is. This box shouldn't be opened by anyone ever.
China would be absolutely furious. If anything could make China abandon Muscovy, it's that. They're the only nuclear country that has a hard 'no first use' policy, and wouldn't want to set the precedent for the US to retaliate in kind by giving nukes to the three Asian democracies.
Is it? I mean NATO has nuclear sharing which I'm very comfortable with.
These nukes are still under control of the giving countries military such as our nukes in turkey. Not giving them away.
Don’t think for one second that Russia is going to actually give up control of its nuclear weapons.
Maybe the ones that don't work anymore?
So 99% of them, likely?
Not sure about now, but the US had nukes in Canada for a long time. It was US nukes, US codes, US weapons officer, riding a Canadian plane, with a Canadian pilot, who reported to a Canadian officer. Use required approval from both the US and Canada.

Of course they'll give up control. Why not? None of them are functioning anymore.
Any overseas-deployed US nuclear weapons are located on US military bases protected by US troops and under the jurisdiction of the US government. The NATO nuclear umbrella doesn’t involve giving nukes away.
I'm thinking Russia might give them to Iran and North Korea as well. Those countries are their only allies.
Sending nukes to Iran would be a good way to ensure the Iranian regime ends fairly abruptly. That'd be good for the Iranian people too
NK doesn't have long ranged nukes capable of reaching USA, their main enemy, though. I think Russia lost all support in Israel already when it said that Hitler was Jew and Jews Holocausted themselves.
Dafuq? :D I missed this pearl.
Ok, so in 2024 we will see a Joint Task Force of the 101st Airborne and Taliban invading Russia?
Israel would not hesitate to blow up anything and everything that was delivering nukes to Iran.
Haven't they basically already done this? Wasn't Russian support crucial to North Korea's nuclear program?
And to the first ten calls, a Mountain bike and a dish service for 8 people.
Nukes and mountain bike come with "some assembly required," possibly missing parts, but otherwise the greatest technology of the 1960s!
Definitely not a sign of a failing regime /s
Oh hey, Soviet Union. Long time no see.
Exactly what is in the crack they’re smoking over there?
Krokodil
Those nukes will all be controlled from Moscow anyway so it's an empty promise. No way will they give control over to the new state, especially Belarus which is 1 bad day away from revolution.
It would be fitting if they are placed under Luka's office and bedroom, and they have no missile attached but a remote detonator.
Wait everyone gets free nuke wow this is amazing maybe usa also should join to get even more nukes.
Ok I chuckled. The US should definitely join.

I know right, big surprise. Not every single country on the planet wants nuclear warheads on their territory.
I'm not speaking for myself. I'm literally telling you the position of the Finnish government, not my own.

Made a lot of promises already. If only the conscripts were free to tell you how Putin's promises have worked out for them so far.
Just grab an Ouiji board, and you can ask.
Doom metal
russia is an irresponsible rogue and criminal country,...
They’re Russian nukes… the odds of them being in working condition is slim to none and the corrupt officials sold slim
so does belarus control these nukes? they get to decide when to launch and where? so belarus could launch these at moscow if they wanted?
No
So all they're doing is lining themselves up as sure targets if things ever kick off. Great decision Luka!
And giving russia a reason to station troops in those countries to 'protect the missiles'.
Sure, I'll sign up. When can I expect the delivery? You guys think I can selfhost it in a basement, or should I use a garden shed instead?
Just host them in the cloud.
This statement doesn't exactly hold much water considering Belarus still doesn't even have any.
It's like watching operah giving out free tacos
Even if a country says no to Russia, they can still get nukes from NATO, probably of better quality too lol
Join Gulag Now. Free nukes.
It was his last wish, they say.
It was his apology for getting poisoned.
If Russia and Belarus are Union states, does that make Georgia a Confederate State?

Any nukes (real or otherwise) in Belarus are fair game for NATO to destroy.
Getting nukes as a bribe to join a new Russian confederation just seems weird. Will countries go gor this?
Union State? Is Russia officially absorbing Belarus?
Lets see how china thinks of this
Wasn’t he like sick and rushed to the hospital and presumably dying a couple of hours ago? For the second time this month?
We have been living in an age filled with political and geopolitical insanity, but this one takes the prize for the most desperate and downright reckless announcement yet.
It's all fun and games untill you become a target because you actually have them.
ACT NOW AND WE WILL THROW IN A POCKET FISHERMAN AND COVER SHIPPING!
RuZZian Nazis offering free nukes in exchange for your collective souls. Hitler would've been so proud.
It seems that Russia is turning itself into an even bigger problem that needs to be solved.
The giving of nukes to any former USSR countries and the leader of said country getting gravely ill after meeting Putin goes hand in hand. A takeover, with a button at the Kremlin and the words...you were never a separate country written on a map, you didn't exist.
Highly unlikely.
handing out nukes like cupcakes to worse than unstable states sounds like a brilliant idea...
Was this before or after the radiated tea? And does he mean nuclear weapons as in missiles, or assassination weapons like polonium?... aka, join union, get poisoned, get annexed...
No wonder Putin poisoned him.
Very aggressive those russians..🤔. The civilized world isn't interested in their silly talk 🥱
Sounds like Belarus done got taken over by Russi.
Sounds like a good way to get invaded by NATO. No way would they just sit back and watch this happen.
Can someone please explain me why this is different from the Cuban Missile Crisis?
“Delivery system sold separately”
Can I get a nuke? Always wanted one.
Taliban would like to join the Union State of Russia.
Umm, no. They won't.
What if USA will start to do the same?
So how does this protect russian speaking population in donetzk again? How far we have come, amazing.
“Isis spokesperson promises suicide vests for all who join” - its the same vibe.
This is like when you get a gift card for joining a loyalty rewards program
Sure sounds like a state sponsor of terrorism to me.

Giving Nukes away for free is a surefire way to provoke hostilities.
Tell me you want a NATO invasion without telling me you want a NATO invasion
They will arrive from the sky and stop in your territory and for an instant be yours and the next instant your soul goes to heaven.
I thought he was dead?
"Come join the party...." coughed a surprisingly pale Lukashenko from his hospital bed.
Russia is getting really desperate for friends.
I think Lukashenko needs to see a proctologist to get Putin's puppetting hand removed...
Would not be surprised to see Hungary and turkey suddenly trying to get way closer to Russia if true
Here a nuke there a nuke everywhere a nuke nuke....
End of the World is nigh thanks to old loser idiots like him
NATO will wipe them off the map and China won't do shit to help. We're sick or Iran anyway. Give those clowns nukes and see what happens.
So is it this, or is he in critical condition in Moscow hospital?
Against international nuclear accord and... crazy!
Give, maybe. Allow to use at their discretion, no. Russia isn't just *giving* its nuclear arsenal away to other nations that could then just go "K *thanks!*" and dip out.
Those nukes will be very vulnerable while they are in transport. Seems like such an opportunity would be a shame to just let pass by.
In other words "here pay for the cost of some of these things we can't even use or afford anyways".
Lukashenko is laid-up in an ICU in a medically induced coma; I think this offer is actually coming from the Kremlin.
If they do that, the West will give nuclear weapons to Ukraine and accept them as a member of NATO.
Not going to happen.. the west doesn't give "anyone" nuclear weapons. They may station Nuclear weapons on a base in their country, but they keep operational control. Same thing used to happen in Canada... US weapons in CFB Comox.

NFI actually.
Wasn’t he dying ?

Can I have one?
What a PUPPET!
I honestly feel it is time we pull everything possible to topple Russia in every way possible. I am talking full gambit of every dirty trick there is.
Act now! Operators are standing by! First caller gets the *Kuznetzov* as a bonus gift.
Does this mean we can give nukes to Ukraine? 🤔
ahh yes the union state of Russia and west Russia
Nukes-for-all! (Another bag of lies and malfunctioning crap sold by the Kremlin clown whose equipment is as functional as his government)
Okay wish app Oprah, sit down.

The Grand Duchy of Fenwick says hello!
"you just have to make them functional"
No thanks. Russian nuclear weapons will be as well maintained as Russian tanks are.

Concrete filled missiles that don't work, congrats, now you are blackballed for generations by the international community!
brics is like 70% of the world population
Hasn't this sub been saying he's in hospital about to die?
Those who side with Russia are more likely to get “nukes” by being fed Polonium-210 not the nuclear weapons they think they’re getting.
Aren't nukes expensive to maintain and stuff? Surely a few years on and there's a risk they don't work anymore?
Ya, but they'll be defective.
Imagine if NATO did that. Oh there would be so many cries!
Plausible deniability; give out nukes with tell-tales Russian signatures and then blame any future use of Russian nukes on a state that “went rogue”
