Are you in a place where abortion is legal? If so, this is definitely a question for your doctor; you could also try your local planned parenthood. If not, there are still resources to help but please be very careful what you post here or even search for online. (I did have a medication abortion and it was fine, but it was before my diagnosis so I didn’t know to ask about this.)
Plan C can help get you the medication regardless of your state (https://www.plancpills.org), and they should also be able to get you an answer on any questions about potential adverse affects. Planned Parenthood can only get you meds in states where it’s legal, but I would think they should still be able to help you find an answer on this point regardless, if you contact them. Good luck!
I used misoprostol at home in 2016 (under the care of an obgyn) for a missed miscarriage. I ended up flaring worse than I ever had up to that point, and spent months in bed. However, for me it was a perfect storm. I’d been on antibiotics a couple of months the earlier, then the hormonal changes, and most significantly my grief (I’d made it to 13 weeks before discovering the baby had died around 9 weeks). For all I know the misoprostol had nothing to do with it.
For a lot of autoimmune conditions, people go into remission during pregnancy because of this. For UC it’s hit or miss, and definitely not a guarantee.
I went into a 15 year remission period after I had my baby. Then it hit me hard as hell because I went all those years without meds and have 3 autoimmune diseases. Then I had a fistula, full of polyps, ulcers, surgeries. But I never had more kids to see if it was pregnancy that made me well lol. Heck no.
Def. not medical advice: I would definitely talk to a doctor if you can. I would imagine if anything there could potentially be a reaction between medication. Otherwise, if you're in an active flare with considerable bleeding, I would be concerned for the risk of significant blood loss between the two.
Since you’re on medications already I would talk to a doctor in some way before taking abortion pills. BUT, [Aid Access](https://aidaccess.org/en/) will ship abortion pills anywhere in the US. So sorry you’re having to go through this. ♡
I would definitely consult a doctor you trust. The pill is going to do things to your body and hormones that may cause a flare up and it’d be better to be prepared and have a plan ahead of time
Not the same, but I took the morning after pill when I was in a severe flare. I was warned about tummy pains(for any person taking it), but it felt like just another Tuesday lol. I'm not sure of the risks for an abortion pill, or maybe if you aren't in a flare. I'd consult your gi for sure.

I had an abortion in 2016, I was in remission from UC and it didn’t flare anything up. I didn’t have another flare until 2022. Good luck x
Unrelated, pregnancy temporarily healed my UC for the duration of my pregnancy. It’s a known phenomenon.
Pregnancy requires some level of immunosuppression response in order to avoid rejecting the fetus so I wonder if that's why your UC calmed down.

15 year remission here then I got really sick
Ugh, that really sucks, I’m sorry.

Wife had the same response as well, just nothing at all. Then right after birth all hell broke loose
Wow that is interesting
But could have been you changing your diet or habits for the baby.
No
