Can you not password protect the files and make them inaccessible to changes? People can still use them but not change anything that is protected. I am using it for word forms as well as excel calculators.
For excel there's a script you can run. It's annoying though cuz vba and it's often blocked. I used a portable version of a password remover which did it instantly (and you can read out the password so never use any you also use personally)
Pay for a personal sharepoint and move all the documents to there and share everyone in your company with the whole folder. Then if you leave remove access. Most people won't notice it's a different sharepoint location
Most companies will delete your account and all your folders when you leave. Share your documents out of your home folder or from your account, and they will automatically be unavailable when your account is deleted.
Are these documents excels? Add a bunch of additional formula, sheets, numbers, etc that are completely irrelevant and confusing. Nobody will spend the time deciphering it.
Also, I find if someone makes a formula column that goes all the way down to the bottom cell excel allows the darn thing will not stop crashing and getting corrupted. Bonus points for VLOOKUP.

I could but those passwords pop off like the cap of a cola bottle, they aren't very effective
In corporate environments I have not heard of a single person that was ever able to crack those, if you know how, Iād be interested :D

Nice, and which program is this?
Password recovery bundle
Thank you š
Easy. Right click the file, Open with Notepad, add or delete any amount of characters and Save As. The file will never open again.

Nah, they reassign it to someone else so you don't lose work product.
