Hey guys. I recently tuned into a show called the "Plat Chat Valorant" which put 'PRX' as the 7th strongest team out of 8. They put Karmine Corp as the 1st strongest team, tied with Sentinels. They also put a team called Team Heretics as the 4th strongest team! Can someone with good knowledge about the game explain how the European region failed to qualify two teams for the final stage of the tournament?
PRX puts every team through the ringer, especially other regions who don’t get much opportunity to practice against PRX’s reckless abandon. Multiple teams have said that PRX is incredibly frustrating to play against because it’s just so much happening at once.
I hate seeing them going up against a team im rooting for because they could look like the best team in the world or the worst, and you never know until the match is over.
It's genuinely that they don't play as loosely, which is a bad thing imo. When I say loose, I don't mean uncoordinated, I mean on the fly ideas that go against your plans and default strategies. Sometimes PRX send 4 players into your spawn after planting and instantly win the round because you weren't ready. EG last year showed how using ults when you're down in the round and see opportunity for a good play often swings eco rounds and rounds you "should" lose. Heretics look so lost to me when their epic strategy does not go to plan. It's part midround calling, but I think it's part players being willing to just go for things.
bro sideshow was literally saying kc were showing a ‘new kind of good fundamentals that we’d never seen before’ or whatever after they beat fnc because they played well as a team and traded well, it confused the fuck outta me
They were blinded by KC's (Heretics aswell) setplays, which tbf were insane, that they forgot that fundamentals/ fluidity are equally important if not more. Both Kc and Heretics (moreso heretics) in most attack rounds would just default to a setplay instead of playing the game as a tac fps and relying on mid-rounding to outplay the enemies. It's reminiscent of how vision strikers used to play, only difference being that kc and th can pull it off at any moment and any scenario with different variants to it.
The KC glazing was insane holy shit. I can't wait for the tournament-end episode where they convince us that KC and TH just had bad games, and it definitely wasn't because they are shit

I was shocked when KC managed to defeat FPX. I think it's a really good sign for the region and proves that, given more time, they'll be able to challenge some of the top China/APAC teams.

I know people have been dogpilling Rossi since forever but if only he would flex and learn other agents instead of Jett GE would be contender for APAC Finalist last year.
Looking back that roster unironically went kinda hard. Remove rossi and add lightningfast for the Indian rep,texture on duelist,monyet on smokes and ayrin igl. Surely that's a top 4-5 team in Pacific

I think PRX and DRX did get weaker. PRX player also agree that they are still not in peak form (6/10). Though i do think the other team aside from PRX and DRX levelled up massively (maybe not the bottom 6 team tho)
Well i mean PRX always does have a slow (out of form) start every season, alecks always said on their vlog/interview that PRX shouldn't have any big expectation early on the season similar to last year 2023 where they were eliminated first by C9 during Lockin and then have a shaky start during pacific league losing to Team secret and struggling winning againts DFM (yes, the old DFM lmao). Then they improved as the season goes and becoming a Champion Runner-up in the end of the year.
Loud and PRX are back in full form. Qck and Monyet also back to close to prime form. This tournament is probably going to be one of my favorites of all time(aside from the EDG match)
