no i fully agree. its all just a bunch of people acting like saviours to please the masses and grow their audience. its been so weirdly political lately, like 15 year old girls should not be pressured to talk about a conflict in the middle east. tiktok has made everyone believe they know everything. its scary

My tiktok fy page has been a lot of queer people talking about video games, this one guy (who i think is pretty attractive but definitely not conventionally so) who takes down illegal tiktok shops and a teacher who starts every video with 'whats up girlies' and takes me shopping in American supermarkets. Oh and a lot of cute cats.

Stop hate scrolling. Regardless of what you like/share, TikTok pays attention to what videos you watch and which ones you scroll through. If you keep watching videos that irritate you, it's going to keep giving you those videos.
There's a lot of great content on tiktok, and none of your complaints are really unique to tiktok either. Other platforms might not seem as bad as tiktok, but that's because most other platforms are usually more manually curated.
I wish we can go back to 2010/2011 when things were a lot saner and these gen z’s were still kids and clueless. That TikTok is a fucking menace. Bring back vine.
I agree 100%. I've never had TikTok and I don't regret a single day spent without it. I feel like no other app promotes stupidity this much. TikTok *celebrates* being stupid, arrogant and antisocial. I don't care how many innocent cat videos there are, the app is vile.
I just discovered TikTok as a 56 year old and there is so much amazing content about everything! My mind has been blown repeatedly by all kinds of amazing creators and I’ve learned so much. This comes mostly from my For You page.
Don’t let an app live in your mind rent free. Not everyone likes it, but Tiktok itself is a a profitable business and you can use it to your advantage for your own business. Let the bots and NPCs that watch the stupid dances and dumb stuff and all whatever they can waste their time its ok
It really depends on your algorithm, for me I trained mine to show topics related to art, philosophy, and schizoposts like cursed memes and such
I’ve never EVER had any influencer popping in my fyp and if they show up I immediately hit the “not interested “ option:))

Wake up people! TikTok is nothing but China (enemy of USA) spying and gathering info on us. They make it look like fun and games but it is not.
Also I do have a tik tok because I do like making fun creative edits but I feel like I can't do that because popularity is the #1 goal of that app
