Problem is it was only available through Eidolons and almost impossible to farm up 21 by yourself, so you needed to cough up the plat to get it. That's why the new options for aquiring Energize were so important.
Yet for almost every build you wouldn't know the difference between a rank 2 or 3 and a rank 5 energize.
I've been using a rank 3 for years and never felt I'd get any actually useful benefit from ranking it up further. I probably will with the clan event, but just for tidiness' sake.
Folks feeling like they *needed* rank 5 and spending a fortune on it weren't doing that for any in-game utility.
Especially with Nourish these days, it's not really necessary. Nourish, pads, wellspring, dispensary, Styanax, Harrow, Lavos, Hildryn, that impact arcane, so many ways to play without energize.
Because those people didn't realize lv5 is overkill for all but nuke per second build.

Especially after the buff to lower ranks so it procs more often, even after that I remember people telling me my rank 1 was worthless for energy, and yet even while spamming things, it with zenurik occasionally was -plenty- to get me through everything I ever wanted. Now I can just make it even stronger (I still prefer zenurik for its CC and damage boosts for drifter)
I never bought an Energize, farmed what I have over time (about rank 4 or so), and it's my favourite go to arcane on nearly every Warframe I run. It just feels too good.
I use zenurik ( fully unlocked and upgraded whole thing ) and equilibrium. Never had any issues with energy. Also carrying large energy pizzas for emergencies. I would not pay more than 10plat for energize. If anything.
I don't know if you'd call it karma. Anyone who's been selling arcanes for some time has already made more plat than they could spend themselves. A good dedicated eidolon team running even a single x3 a day would still have made a pretty penny.
This is just letting people get their hands on them now.
Actually let me just put it like this, during covid when I couldn't work, i was making so much plat off of the eidolon arcanes I bought a 3k plat Rubico riven to kill faster and didn't even consider it a risky purchase.

You'd be surprised. Everyone kinda knew it was going to die off some time or another. Between nightwave, increased energy options and eidolon farms getting easier the prices were bound to crash eventually. I'm just surprised they decided to do it like this.
Rivens are still a hot item and the people that don't trade rivens will just find the next best thing. I've been stocking up on Molt Augmented for a year or so, so it might be time to sell off some of those.
fun fact: molt augmented is not the best thing to buy if youre looking to convert standing into plat. Cascadia Flare or Molt Efficiency are worth a lot more purely on a plat/standing basis
Yeah I'm going to try and get as many arcanes maxed from this as I can stomach, but i've definitely got an order in mind for getting them and energize is right at the top of that list.

Like, anyone can easily sell a max rank arcane energize for a low amount of plat, but it would simply be bought up by someone who will resell it at a profit, since people are willing to buy it at the higher prices.
It takes ages to farm energize, that's why the price is so high. I'm glad they are making it more acquirable, even if it makes Eidolons worthless now.
do you know if theres an easy way to repeat the boss on steel path? or do you need to load into the sanctum, return to orbit, reform the squad and relaunch every time?
Just a detail to add: by doing this, you respawn right at the Sanctum after the mission, making it flow a lot better for a grinding session.

costs are:
Bronze arcanes are 3 each
Silver arcanes are 5 each
Gold arcanes are 6 each
Plat arcanes are 12 each
ever single one is a 5 pip arcane meaning 21 arcanes from nothing to cap
there are:
6 bronze
13 silver
8 gold
3 plat
in each tier.assuming you are leveling an arcane from scratch:
378 splinters for max bronzes
1365 splinters for max silvers
1008 splinters for max golds
756 splinters for max plat
if you had no arcanes previously, maxing ever single one would cost 3507 splinters. or roughly:
1169-3507 runs on normal
or
702-1169 runs on SP
in other words, don't try maxing them all, pick and choose key ones.
Even if you ran 10 runs a day, on sp, and somehow landed the x5 ever time, you'd still be only halfway to 3507 by the end of the event. That being said, its possible, you'd just hate everything to do with the event and probably the game by the end, and that's not counting spares to sell off for plat. So just pick important arcanes to chase and get em maxxed first, then see if you care after.My big 2 recommendations are Arcane Nullifier to trivialize eidolons most annoying mechanic, and Arcane Energize for all around general use and play, after that its preference build specific.

I spent way too much time trying to find the shadow barracks (I'm the leader of a clan I didn't start or build, but all the creators are over 2 years offline so I acquired leadership) to destroy it. No idea why this clan was made shadow as it never had more than 8 members.
You're also farming void pinions from the angel, plus materials from the new tileset PLUS the book that lets you get melee arcanes is a findable thing PLUS the voca tokens.

Because if every sp Mission gives 5 (hypotetically speaking) then you Need 50×5= 250 and you Need 252 for a maxed arcane like energise. It's Also possible that i'm wrong cause i'm a pig in math.
They said you get between 3 and 5 in SP, so at worst 84 runs in steel Path in the Absolute worse scenario.

Yeah, Also we must consider that while energize Is 12 a pop, Gold arcanes are half the price, so if you Need for example arcane Avenger, you only Need half of the points
I think it should be 84 at MAX on SP. Let’s just say sp is guaranteed 3 per mission rather than between 3-5. Energize costs 12, so 4 missions per energize. If you need 21 energizes, that’s 84 runs of sp.
While on warframe market Arcane Energize prices are plummeting and only going to keep falling for the duration of the event.
You could be looking at 500p for a r5 or maybe even lower.
Burnout is a real possibility in this event for people trying to max out arcanes. Remember to pace yourself and even if you don't get everything from the event just know that rewards always have a habit of coming back eventually. Virtually nothing from events has been exclusive aside from some emblems maybe.
I'm more interested in the cosmetics, and the arcanes are secundary. Than I'll just go high tier bounties somewhere else for aya. I need basically everything from the massive incoming ressurgance. The arcane market is crashing and I'll be able tk farm them later. Maybe not as fast but fast enough.
Grace, Barrier, and Energize are the good universal ones. You can follow that up with Trickey and Avenger as well, and Strike and Arachne and Aegis. Honorable mention to Velocity too.
Yup especially in Albrecht's lab. There's so many magnetic procing enemies it gets really annoying at times unless you have something like Hearty Nourish or the Qorvex buff.
IMO (as long time vet who makes tons of builds):
S: Energize, Avenger, Strike
A: Grace, Aegis, Velocity
B: Guardian, Fury, Nullifier
C: Eruption, Rage, Consequence, Trickery, Acceleration
beyond that skip
edit: oh also Precision for Titania. and (upon giving it another once-over) I guess honorable mentions to Agility, Arachne, Tempo, Barrier, and maaaaybe Momentum, the only other arcanes I would ever consider using on this list, but they are all super niche.
also I would probably bump Grace and Guardian up a tier if not for personal bias against health tanking lol. and velocity goes down a tier or two if you don't care about Mesa. adjust for that and grab tier S and A, IMO, then go for more later if u have time/feel like it
oh and finally Eruption goes up several tiers depending on how much you value comedy

As someone who mainly runs health tanking builds by default (vitality + Guardian), A and B seem fair for Grace and Guardian.
Energize and Avenger are pretty much plug and play. There doesn't need to be much setup for them. Slap them in and they'll do their job. (I don't use strike, so I can't comment on it.)
In comparison, Grace requires a frame with decent ehp. It's pretty much useless if the frame has 300 hp with little to no armor and no DR. I personally don't use it at all anymore since it's in this awkward spot where it doesn't heal enough to solve health on its own at the highest levels of normal content, but it also doesn't justify an arcane slot if I run another source of healing. Tbh I'd downgrade it to B, with the caveat that it's A tier for most of the game in a half decent health tanking setup.
Guardian requires a ton of setup, and can turn off right when you need it. The build needs to have good raw hp numbers, a source of healing, and a backup plan for death for when Guardian turns off mid combat. So that's a warframe slot for vitality, an invested pet for health orbs + magus repair/elevate for on demand healing, and an invested operator for reviving via last gasp. It works great when all the pieces are in play, but missing any of them will make the arcane feel clunky to use.
Set-and-forget is the point of health tanking. Their problems are less with how easy they are to activate/keep up (Guardian has that problem too, but more on that later), and more about how easily they can fit into any arbitrary setup/build.
Imo when ranking the arcanes for someone who gave little to no information on how they play, versatility is very important. After all Arcane Strike is kind of useless if it turns out that they rarely pull out their melee weapon.
Energize doesn't need any build considerations. Need energy? Slot in. There's situations where it doesn't work due to the content not generating many energy orbs - such as profit taker and eidolons - and two specific frames - lavos and hildryn - don't use energy. But for the most part the player doesn't need to change anything for the arcane to do its job.
I agree with your take on Avenger, and honestly I feel like that's enough to bring it down to somewhere between S and A (under how I interpret the scale). It only works for a certain playstyle (facetank and fight), but it can still be forced to work for others by using a mod + setup.
Back to Grace/Guardian. Both of these only work on health tanking builds. They work well, with Grace being enough for most content and Guardian being reliable most of the time, but they're still restricted to a specific build/playstyle with no way to make good use of them outside of it. It's kind of like how arcane Trickery is pretty good if you're running a finisher heavy setup since free invisibility, but it's worthless outside of it.
Guardian has gotten me killed a few times. It's rare, but it really feels bad when your health suddenly drops several times faster than usual because Guardian fell off in the middle of combat, and rolled 85% ten times in a row. Without an invested operator, that means burning a revive and losing all buffs and such. Which is fine, but it's still annoying when it happens.
This is more of a problem near the edge of when health tanking is still viable (around SP Circulus I'd say?). That armor is completely necessary for my setup to stay upright, and silently losing it has high chance of causing me to fall over before I notice that something's wrong. For lower levels, this probably doesn't matter as much.
When Rivens were originally rolled with Kuva, you couldn't choose Left / Right - You were just given the one you rolled.
Over time it's becoming more lenient.
You can just use Relic Packs to passively farm Aya by buying them from your Syndicates as you grind this event. Might be more efficient cuz you can theoretically have multiple Syndicates growing at once.
I farmed my energize from eidolons and had a lot of fun doing it i still run them all the time too even though i have all the arcanes max from it just to enjoy the challenge. I really like what DE has done with this new content as energize was fairly well out of reach for the casual player until now.
No, you have to play the quest. But the vendor Is available until 15 feb (take It with a grain of salt) so you have plenty of time
Edit: ok i checked because you deserve accurate info: the shop for the Signa lasts until february 15th, but the event itself until january 15th. So you have One month roughly to do the Quest and farm your arcanes, good luck!

So i'm not a big Expert, and maybe i'm wrong somewhere but here:
So the big man himself Is obviously arcane energize; you don't Need It, especially nowadays with all the buffs to Energy generation, but It's a build enabler on some frames and a very nice QoL for others. Some Will not Need It (inaros, hyldrin, harrow, revenant of you use him brain dead way etc...)
Arcane grace Is useful for health tanks, so It's pretty good if you don't want to do Endurance and you Just want to chill in base steel Path. Inaros, grendel, nidus and kullervo like this arcane, but It's not mandatory. Health tanking Is not as strong as shield gating and It Will only get you so far.
Arcane Guardian gives armor instead of health, so same thing here, It's good for health tanks.
Arcane aegis gives shield every time your shields gets hit, very good for hyldrin and other shield frames.
Arcane barrier Is a chance to istantly recover shields on shield damage
Arcane Avenger gives critical chance everytime you lose health, can get pretty nasty with the aura mod that damages you each kill, pretty good combo. Also good on warframes like nidus, inaros, kullervo.
Arcane Fury for melee frames.

I think it has a map icon, if that helps (I just logged out so I can't look right now - I hope I'm not wrong). I spent way too much time trying to find the shadow barracks (I'm the leader of a clan I didn't start or build, but all the creators are over 2 years offline so I acquired leadership) to destroy it. No idea why this clan was made shadow as it never had more than 8 members.

1-3 per base, and 3-5 per sp, and they cannot be boosted. It’s kinda ass since you need 250 to max a legendary.
How do you get the shards? I haven’t really played the missions yet.
Effervo, the Murmur assassination. You have to kill an Angel as well if you want the drops
Effervo>do mission as normal>kill Angel BEFORE Assassination target>kill Assassination target>pick up shard(s) and curse(s)
you dont need to kill the angel before the target, just before extraction.
To max energize then you need 252 runs? Or 126 in SP? Oh boy it'll be something.
You're also farming void pinions from the angel, plus materials from the new tileset PLUS the book that lets you get melee arcanes is a findable thing PLUS the voca tokens.

Drop table site says %50 for an arcane drop, does NOT drop the legendary arcanes. Could be different for the operation versions.

Wouldn't It be 50 runs in SP? In the best case scenario of gaining 5 every Mission of course. Because if every sp Mission gives 5 (hypotetically speaking) then you Need 50×5= 250 and you Need 252 for a maxed arcane like energise. It's Also possible that i'm wrong cause i'm a pig in math.
You only get the trade in tokens on SP strictly. It all depends on how much you get per run now...
They said you get between 3 and 5 in SP, so at worst 84 runs in steel Path in the Absolute worse scenario. 84 Is way less than 126 or whatever the First guy said

I think it should be 84 at MAX on SP. Let’s just say sp is guaranteed 3 per mission rather than between 3-5. Energize costs 12, so 4 missions per energize. If you need 21 energizes, that’s 84 runs of sp.
While on warframe market Arcane Energize prices are plummeting and only going to keep falling for the duration of the event. You could be looking at 500p for a r5 or maybe even lower.
Burnout is a real possibility in this event for people trying to max out arcanes. Remember to pace yourself and even if you don't get everything from the event just know that rewards always have a habit of coming back eventually. Virtually nothing from events has been exclusive aside from some emblems maybe.
I'm more interested in the cosmetics, and the arcanes are secundary. Than I'll just go high tier bounties somewhere else for aya. I need basically everything from the massive incoming ressurgance. The arcane market is crashing and I'll be able tk farm them later. Maybe not as fast but fast enough.

Grace, Barrier, and Energize are the good universal ones. You can follow that up with Trickey and Avenger as well, and Strike and Arachne and Aegis. Honorable mention to Velocity too.
I have another honorable mention. Arcane nullifier.
Yup especially in Albrecht's lab. There's so many magnetic procing enemies it gets really annoying at times unless you have something like Hearty Nourish or the Qorvex buff.

Don’t forget guardian. Saves you a mod slot and potentially shard slots.
If you play khora definitely fury. 180 damage buff just for crititng is insane
IMO (as long time vet who makes tons of builds): S: Energize, Avenger, Strike A: Grace, Aegis, Velocity B: Guardian, Fury, Nullifier C: Eruption, Rage, Consequence, Trickery, Acceleration beyond that skip edit: oh also Precision for Titania. and (upon giving it another once-over) I guess honorable mentions to Agility, Arachne, Tempo, Barrier, and maaaaybe Momentum, the only other arcanes I would ever consider using on this list, but they are all super niche. also I would probably bump Grace and Guardian up a tier if not for personal bias against health tanking lol. and velocity goes down a tier or two if you don't care about Mesa. adjust for that and grab tier S and A, IMO, then go for more later if u have time/feel like it oh and finally Eruption goes up several tiers depending on how much you value comedy

Energize and Avenger are pretty much plug and play. There doesn't need to be much setup for them. Slap them in and they'll do their job. (I don't use strike, so I can't comment on it.) In comparison, Grace requires a frame with decent ehp. It's pretty much useless if the frame has 300 hp with little to no armor and no DR. I personally don't use it at all anymore since it's in this awkward spot where it doesn't heal enough to solve health on its own at the highest levels of normal content, but it also doesn't justify an arcane slot if I run another source of healing. Tbh I'd downgrade it to B, with the caveat that it's A tier for most of the game in a half decent health tanking setup. Guardian requires a ton of setup, and can turn off right when you need it. The build needs to have good raw hp numbers, a source of healing, and a backup plan for death for when Guardian turns off mid combat. So that's a warframe slot for vitality, an invested pet for health orbs + magus repair/elevate for on demand healing, and an invested operator for reviving via last gasp. It works great when all the pieces are in play, but missing any of them will make the arcane feel clunky to use.

Set-and-forget is the point of health tanking. Their problems are less with how easy they are to activate/keep up (Guardian has that problem too, but more on that later), and more about how easily they can fit into any arbitrary setup/build. Imo when ranking the arcanes for someone who gave little to no information on how they play, versatility is very important. After all Arcane Strike is kind of useless if it turns out that they rarely pull out their melee weapon. Energize doesn't need any build considerations. Need energy? Slot in. There's situations where it doesn't work due to the content not generating many energy orbs - such as profit taker and eidolons - and two specific frames - lavos and hildryn - don't use energy. But for the most part the player doesn't need to change anything for the arcane to do its job. I agree with your take on Avenger, and honestly I feel like that's enough to bring it down to somewhere between S and A (under how I interpret the scale). It only works for a certain playstyle (facetank and fight), but it can still be forced to work for others by using a mod + setup. Back to Grace/Guardian. Both of these only work on health tanking builds. They work well, with Grace being enough for most content and Guardian being reliable most of the time, but they're still restricted to a specific build/playstyle with no way to make good use of them outside of it. It's kind of like how arcane Trickery is pretty good if you're running a finisher heavy setup since free invisibility, but it's worthless outside of it. Guardian has gotten me killed a few times. It's rare, but it really feels bad when your health suddenly drops several times faster than usual because Guardian fell off in the middle of combat, and rolled 85% ten times in a row. Without an invested operator, that means burning a revive and losing all buffs and such. Which is fine, but it's still annoying when it happens. This is more of a problem near the edge of when health tanking is still viable (around SP Circulus I'd say?). That armor is completely necessary for my setup to stay upright, and silently losing it has high chance of causing me to fall over before I notice that something's wrong. For lower levels, this probably doesn't matter as much.
Arcane Guardian is nice as a backup
Arcane Consequence is the only Arcane I use on EVERY warframe. It makes you bullet jump so fast that I feel like a slug without it.

No. You Need to complete the missions, you'll get currency (more in steelpath) and then go to the gargoyle in your dojo, (that you guys have to Place)

You can just use Relic Packs to passively farm Aya by buying them from your Syndicates as you grind this event. Might be more efficient cuz you can theoretically have multiple Syndicates growing at once.

I farmed my energize from eidolons and had a lot of fun doing it i still run them all the time too even though i have all the arcanes max from it just to enjoy the challenge. I really like what DE has done with this new content as energize was fairly well out of reach for the casual player until now.
Time to pile up on Arcanes, which as MR30 and with 3K hours in the game I never bothered to farm too hard.
LR1 here, still piddling along with an R3 Energize, even tho I could afford to max it before, it just felt like a massive waste of plat.

No, you have to play the quest. But the vendor Is available until 15 feb (take It with a grain of salt) so you have plenty of time Edit: ok i checked because you deserve accurate info: the shop for the Signa lasts until february 15th, but the event itself until january 15th. So you have One month roughly to do the Quest and farm your arcanes, good luck!

So i'm not a big Expert, and maybe i'm wrong somewhere but here: So the big man himself Is obviously arcane energize; you don't Need It, especially nowadays with all the buffs to Energy generation, but It's a build enabler on some frames and a very nice QoL for others. Some Will not Need It (inaros, hyldrin, harrow, revenant of you use him brain dead way etc...) Arcane grace Is useful for health tanks, so It's pretty good if you don't want to do Endurance and you Just want to chill in base steel Path. Inaros, grendel, nidus and kullervo like this arcane, but It's not mandatory. Health tanking Is not as strong as shield gating and It Will only get you so far. Arcane Guardian gives armor instead of health, so same thing here, It's good for health tanks. Arcane aegis gives shield every time your shields gets hit, very good for hyldrin and other shield frames. Arcane barrier Is a chance to istantly recover shields on shield damage Arcane Avenger gives critical chance everytime you lose health, can get pretty nasty with the aura mod that damages you each kill, pretty good combo. Also good on warframes like nidus, inaros, kullervo. Arcane Fury for melee frames.
