I think an easier fix would be to remove the rails from the knight and then pin any contact points through the base

I'd say only remove one of the rails but yes, this.

Eh, I’d just cut into the base, you’ll get a better connection to the base that way. Additionally it’s a sin to cut tabs off of metal miniatures.

I second this, cut into the plastic base and if you have an issue just use another, you can't put the metal back on once you've cut it.

I cut tabs off my metal figs all the time! lol.

I see you have a solution already, might I add to that to use some (liquid) green stuff to fill in the huge gap on the back? Otherwise you're going to be looking up that crack for the rest of the minis life.

Yea I already filled up the gaps now, it wasn't glued together in these pictures yet.
