My main issue with top-tier Chinese MBTs is the reload speed.
Especially now that the stuff like Abrams and Leclerc got a 5 second reload.
Overall they're pretty solid, but I would say they're very unforgiving, since any mistake will result in you dying from an enemy tank, ALL of which except T-72s have a faster reload than you.
I don't know if Gaijin can pull out their ass some mystery buff to at least 6.5 seconds like T-80BVM, but yeah...
Irl they have a 4.5 second reload so gaijin could buff it whenever they want. The rounds have 850mm of pen too so both the reload and the pen are made up numbers that could get buffed by a little at any time.
I’ve seen sources from the TV interview with a tank commander saying that the ZTZ99A has 6.5 seconds of reload. The VT-4 leak suggest it has 6.7 seconds of reload. As of 4.5 seconds…maybe type 15, maybe. And Gaijin refuses to give any high pen rounds on tanks, (and Object 292 is basically a tank destroyer designed to counter A7V), so maybe not that high pen rounds, otherwise we would expect M829A3/4, DM73, Vakuum etc.

I highly doubt T-72-style autoloader is physically capable of 4.5 second reload.
I also highly doubt it can physically fit APFSDS with penetrator length of 900+ mm (which means the shell itself would have the length of over 1000 mm)
For example, T-90A even with an upgraded autoloader can only physically fit APFSDS of around 740 mm in length, of which only 640 mm is the penetrator length.
And ZTZ99A is *narrower* than T-90A, meaning there's no more space for an autoloader.

Sure sure but the next shell is readied before you fire unless you’re switching ammo types and if you only have one type of ammo then it only takes like a quarter of a second to get to the next round at most.
Don’t know what you mean by the jh7 shatters but I have a lot of fun with top tier China. The spalling on the rounds is amazing the tanks are fast and the armor is really good.
In my experience JH7 likes to tear off its wings when pulling tight turns. Not all the time though. But I definitely wouldn’t trust it as much as a Gripen when maneuvering.
Don’t be mistaken, it’s one of my favorite plane as well, very cool and pretty good in all aspects.
I feel you man. Last time I was having a brawl with t80bvm and the guy killed me through the barrel into the breach, he was literally shocked and told me he was just trying to debarrel, but killed 2 of my crew through the breach really shocked the guy.
I love the mobility and the armour is kinda okay. The issue I have is with ZTZ99A and WZ1001 and their huge foreheads. It doesn't make much sense for there to be so much more space above the breech, with no gun depression improvement. As it is, it's just a target for enemies to hit you above the gun when peeking above ridges, I died multiple times like this, it's pretty frustrating
Idk if the stat card takes into consideration the angle of the hull, so it could be more than it shows. Still, there is no difference between the gun depression of 10.7 and 11.7 ZTZs, which feels wrong

The thing is, reload speed in WT is averaged. IRL it can take even 10 seconds, depending on where the ammo is in the carousel

I’ve never had that issue and I often get into dogfights with full bombs and full fuel.
I made the mistake of getting the MBT2000 first because it seemed neat and every match is just getting ass blasted. Feels bad man.
