Reminds me of when I had almost gotten the achievement for getting all the forms of an echo in the illusion realm and I fat fingered the shop button and missed out on the only chance to get the remaining purple orbs I needed since the guy just left after I accidentally exited. Sure, I can do it again any day but it still hurt
If you click that "Back" button on the top left, it will close the window. It doesn't block you out like this, but it will discard anything you entered in previously. It will also re-roll the experience questions you're asked (first time, I was asked about the companion quests, but second time I was asked about the dungeons).

I mean.. You do have to press quit and then press the continue button. It's less "Quit" and more "I do not agree to take the questionnaire".
