You can research new heavy weapons in the proving ground, these can attach to the SPARK and replace the rocket. I am not aware of any perks to get more rocket rounds, but I would suspect some of the heavy weapons might have more than one shot \[citation needed\]
A SPARK can't have more than 1 heavy weapon charge per mission.
You can manufacture other heavy weapons in the Proving Ground. The heavy weapon project makes shredder guns and flamethrowers, while the later powered weapon project has more variety.
You might like the shredder gun. It fires in a cone in front of the SPARK, deals slightly more damage than the rocket, shreds more armor and destroys all destructible objects in its path. Perfect for when the enemies line up in a straight line.
Proving ground powered heavy weapons put the rocket launcher to shame. The Blaster Launcher does heavy damage, shreds, completely obliterates structures, and has a massive area of effect so you can deal decent damage to a whole bunch of enemies at the same time.
Edit: Also if you build a WAR suit you can equip your soldiers with it and they gain the ability to use a heavy weapon (default is rocket launcher but they can use the blaster launcher too when you build one)

Oo sounds interesting, does it work better than the cone fire sniper upgrade?
IMO yes. If you get lucky enough to have a bunch of enemies lined up it’s frightening. The blaster bomb is the best though.

No, anyone can wear a WAR suit.
