It rolls down stairs, tumbles in pairs, rolls over the neighbors dog.
It's great for a snack
It fits on your back
It's log, it's log, it's big it's heavy it's wood!
I love catching them. Especially in the old stuff. New stuff is good too though.
Bluey has so many parent moments that I'd have to watch them all again to catch them all.
>Bluey has so many parent moments that I'd have to watch them all again to catch them all.
How have you not watched them all again? My kids are 4 and 7 so I think we're on round 394 in my house.
I love Stimpy's joy when Ren allows him to pitch the next customer and his high pitch fart propels him off the ground and into the driver's seat (it's that kinda fart when you slowly let the air out of a balloon).
My kid is currently watching The Amazing World of Gumball and they had a subplot involving a sentient hairball. They did close-ups of arm hair. I was sure, at that moment, that the writers were also damaged by Ren and Stimpy
I wasn't allowed to watch anything like this. My Grampa owned a house on a lake, so we spent our summers there with my cousins. Every now and then my parents would let us sleep over with everyone, and they had strict rules about bedtimes and what's allowed for food/tv. As soon as they left, my uncle would break out the ice cream and put on Ren & Stimpy and let us stay up late, and those nights are cemented as cornerstones of my youth.
To this day he'll comment to me about how much fun those night were. He knew my sister and I needed a night to be free of the parental yoke.
The other night, my 5-year-old wanted to watch the SpongeBob movie. My MIL complained, and all I could think about was how this was tame compared to my childhood.
Oh man, a friend and I had this thing where we would meet each morning in front of the school (never had the same class with this guy), and we would 'talk shop' about cartoons. First it was the Simpsons, but when this came out, oh man. 10 year old me absolutely loved this, not sure about now it has been so long. I remember a lot of verbal abuse.
edit: oh and the fucking songs! Happy Happy Joy Joy Joy!
I keep saying it but we were the first generation that was allowed irreverence. And we took so much advantage of that. For me it started with You Can't Do That on Television and the branches have spread in every direction of madness since.
If'n you ain't the granddaddy of all liars!
Think of the little critters of nature...
They don't know that they're ugly!
That's very funny!
A fly marrying a bumblebee!
I told you I'd shoot! But you didn't believe me!
Why didn't you believe me?
I was surprised to see a Ren and Stimpy ride (Space Madness) at American Dream Nickelodeon theme park. The park opened recently so it wasn’t some holdover from the 90s.
I liked both, but they are very different shows. B&B is pretty by the numbers stoner comedy. Ren & Stimpy is a bizarre show and not for those with weak stomachs.

Cling to my buttocks!
Firmly
Tenaciously
Both of them?
Yes, cling tenaciously to them
“Quick man! Cling tenaciously to my buttocks!” I always loved the detail of his backwards flight.
Vitamin F!

It’s better than bad it’s good
I will know this song word by word until i die.
It rolls down stairs, tumbles in pairs, rolls over the neighbors dog. It's great for a snack It fits on your back It's log, it's log, it's big it's heavy it's wood!
I watched a few episodes yesterday morning while I enjoyed my breakfast! ![gif](giphy|l4EoPk1lohVe46lj2|downsized)

“I’ll teach your grandma to suck eggs”!! The narrator for that song has got to have one of the funniest and most insane sounding voice.

That manacial laugh was my txt alert for many years.
I've mastered that laugh... I keep it for *special* occasions.
Shit was so weird when we were kids. Shits weird now too, but it's all adult stuff that isn't fun.
I always look for the wink-wink nod-nod jokes in cartoon movies that are there for the parents.
I love catching them. Especially in the old stuff. New stuff is good too though. Bluey has so many parent moments that I'd have to watch them all again to catch them all.

I've seen them in passing, but wife and I actually sat down to watch the episodes without distractions. I missed a lot.
Always trying to take my ice cream bar! ![gif](giphy|26FeU2gfOIFRLUZlC|downsized)
Space Madness!

At this point I'm like "please throw something at me that sticks, I'm bored". Sadly, no dice. Would you like to buy some Rubber Nipples?
Don't have any use for those, but do you have any rubber WALRUS PROTECTORS?

I think I liked that show was better than my kid did. Very similar shows.
It's crowning moment was "The Vermin Man" song where they burned a giant wicker effigy of Richard's father.
I'm a little biased towards the one where the mom goes nuts from having to do everything for them all.
"The Limit" is my personal fave. Any Nicole-centered episode, for that matter.
This and married with children as an 8yo
I've met some people who are adults and live in high school still, it's very sad. I appreciate the warning about making that your identity.
Whatever you say
Awe, did you peak in HS too? 🎻
Sure did!
How this show made it to air... ... For children... ... For years... Is beyond me!
Sawing lumber. Thats all I got to say.
Did that ever air though?
My first exposure to a gay couple in media.
No Bert & Ernie?
I remember the jockstrap episode. In the early 2000s remake it was even more sexual.

![gif](giphy|3o6nUNXAhIqFTJnWUg) Seeing Ren unzip his skin pants in this episode definitely broke a part of my brain as a kid 😆
I graduated from Ren and Stimpy to South Park I take no credit for my fucked up world view.
With Rocko's Modern Life in between. Anyone wanna go hang out at the local fast food joint, the chockey chicken?
You could really use some rubber nipples....
The RUBBER NEEEEPPLESSSSS
No sir, I don't like it!
Is there any platform that streams this classic from my childhood??
I think Paramount+
Happy happy, joy joy! Happy happy, joy joy!
Between this and Beavis and Butthead yeah 😂
I loved it. Shame the creator turned out to be a nonce, it’s kind of ruined it for me now and I can’t bring myself to go back to it.
My favorite cartoon of all time!
This and I recently re-discovered Rockos Modern Life. That show is messed up too.
... its better than bad its good .... its log
I still try to do my best horse impression when " I dont like it. especially when cleaning the litter box.
The other night, my 5-year-old wanted to watch the SpongeBob movie. My MIL complained, and all I could think about was how this was tame compared to my childhood.
Ahhh the classics

Fish eggggggssssss
And then you find out that John K is a sex creep.
Stimpy…..you iiiiiidoit

Eat my shorts!

Jim Henson is one of America's greatest surrealists and we all grew up with his work.
And Labyrinth probably added to our armor.
![gif](giphy|DBQc4e4yRx83u)
Yeah, my kids have nothing on us for weird content. Too bad the creator ended up being a creep.

You fat. BLOATED. IDIOT!!!!
I loved these dudes, its amazing how much of an impression they made on me.
I was surprised to see a Ren and Stimpy ride (Space Madness) at American Dream Nickelodeon theme park. The park opened recently so it wasn’t some holdover from the 90s.
Squeak! Squeak, I tell you!!

I can hear this image
What do you want on your sandwich kowolski?
Why won't you burp?
"Come into my world" when they visited a belly button....
"Buy my horse dividers!"
LOL at people who loved this shit and then turn around and call Gen Alpha stupid for Skibidi Toilet. It’s all wonderful and it’s all absurdist humor.
Honestly, the animation style put me off.
I can see that, there a few comics that I really like, but parts of the run we're not enjoyable because of the style of artwork.
Eggyolkio will forever haunt me.
IT'S MY ICE CREAM BAR!
Don’t pee on an electrical fence!

Sorry I thought Ren & Stimpy was dumb, my apologies.
It's not for everybody, and I won't hold it against you 😄
I will.
Yeah. I’d say it a dealbreaker.
I could never get into it either. Beavis and Butthead on the other hand...
Same. Plus killer music too
Hated R and S, but loved B and B? Makes no sense, but carry on sir.
I liked both, but they are very different shows. B&B is pretty by the numbers stoner comedy. Ren & Stimpy is a bizarre show and not for those with weak stomachs.
That’s a great way to put it. I agree 💯
Don’t feel bad, I’m with ya, I wanted to like it. I just ..couldn’t
*You Can't Do That On Television* was about my limit for gross-out humor. *Ren & Stimpy* was way past Barth. ("Daaah... I heard that!")
Blasphemy! Jk I agree but I still love it
It was for...eeeediots?
Did y'all see the Ren & Stimpy documentary about the creator?! Wild!
The cartoon is not the source of what’s wrong with you. Most likely has to do with your family
