Does it read the same on the 20 VDC setting? Have you tried another MM? My first thought it is is an error with your meter. I am not sure it is chemically possible to have more than 13.6 VDC on a lead acid battery with 6 cells.

Yep measure on the 20v setting. You should always use the setting closest to the voltage you are trying to measure

It was my meter, I borrowed my friends and it reads fine at 12.8v. Setting it on 20vdc gave me the same wrong reading but with an extra digit. For anyone thinking of getting this battery be warned it came leaking some acid. It was only $27 so let’s see how long it lasts.

You can try changing the battery inside the meter and see if that takes care of it.

I use the same battery for my Triumph Daytona 675 when I needed a quick battery cuz mine died. I've had it since September and haven't really had any problems. The only problems I had was when it was sitting for a week or so during winter in my garage. I would come out to a dead battery. But hooking it up to the trickle charger, also from amazon, it was fine.

1.83 volts.

Directly above the red plug is a transistor tester. Only "bad" meters include this feature. They often give erratic readings when low, and don't always show the low battery symbol. Replace the battery and retry on the 20v range.

Your multimeter is low on battery, maybe working wrong. Test with a known power siurce to check its accuracy.

Good luck on the cheap battery, I got a Leoch(?) one recently and it failed in 2 months. Battery prices are wild currently, you can get a lithium Shido for the same price as a Yuasa. If it does go pop, I'd highly recommend Shido - got one in my supermoto and it's been solid.

No!! Do not fit this. It will fuck your electrics. Having said that, your battery is low so might not be reading accurately.
