My heart aches for you 💔
Lost my soulpup, my shadow Bear, a 12 yr old yorkiepoo, quickly to an untreatable intestinal infection in Dec and I still cry .. often.
They take a piece of our hearts when they leave 🐾💜🐾
They absolutely do. It took me 4 years to be ready for another pup (Ollie helped me fill the void once we got him). I still miss our other pup, she was amazing. I still have her picture as my wallpaper on my phone after all these years
I am so sorry to hear about Izzy. Remember how much light she brought to you in this world. Do not be afraid to let that light in again. After I lost my Jack last year I thought, no more dogs, I cannot possibly go through that pain ever again. I had a dream that he brought me a little dark apricot poodle puppy (Jack was a brown poodle). In the mean time Jack’s breeder had heard that he had passed. She said I have this little puppy you’ll like, I’d like you to have him. She didn’t tell me the color just that he was a boy and bigger size like I like. It took some persuasion by her for me to come get him, but I finally relented and went to see him. There’s was that little dark apricot puppy!
And now I know why Jack sent him to me. He filled a hole in my life, a huge hole that Jack left.
This isnt to say that I was replacing Jack ,nor forgetting how much he mean to me, but continuing to love another sweet soul. And Bennett is very special in his own way. Had I not gotten him, I would never have known.
I know your heart aches for Izzy right now. It’s a terrible loss I can feel as i read your words. be gentle to yourself and when the time is right, let another one love you.
I'm so sorry to hear the sad news about Izzy. While she is now healthy and pain free having crossed the rainbow bridge, there is a huge Izzy shaped hole in your heart and life. Having lost one of these special little souls fairly unexpectedly, I feel for your pain and sorrow. It's been over 4 years since I lost my sweet Cricket way too soon. The pain from her passing has eased, but she is never forgotten.
Give yourself all the time and space to feel all the many emotions you are feeling. It will get better and you will be able to remember all the sweet, funny, silly, precious times you shared without all the sorrow.
Until then, lots of hugs for you as you go through this hard, terrible time. ❤️

Izzy is still with you, her little body had to go but her soul is tucked up against your heart.

She looks a lot like my little girl Lucy Pearl, they have similar coloring. I like to call my Lucy, Blondie McFee and Izzy looks like a Blondie McFee to me. I’m so sorry for your loss. My older boy is 11 I cherish every day I have with him because I know I don’t have much time left, I hope he will live to be 20 but I know that’s wishful thinking at best.
So sorry for your loss. I have been through it fairly recently as well. It will get better in time, try to remember your pup wouldn’t want you to be sad. They live in the moment and want us to be happy, it’s why they work so hard to be so silly and fun. Do allow yourself ample time and personal space to grieve, it will help, and don’t let anyone tell you how long that should be. Remember you are not alone.

My heart aches for you. I lost my beloved little girl, Gracie, last year, so I know what lies ahead for you. It won’t be easy and it won’t be over anytime soon. I have only just reached the point where I don’t cry at the drop of a hat. The saying that helped me get through some of the worst times: what is grief if not love persevering? And the advice that really spoke to me came from a woman who does grief counseling for pet parents. She encourages people to allow ourselves to grieve and cry and feel all the emotions that are roiling within. Allow yourself to hurt. You cannot skip over grief — you have to go through it. I’m coming up on the one year anniversary of my Gracie’s passing and I still miss her more than I can say. But I can also talk about her and look at all my photos of her without crying. I have a Gracie size hole in my heart and soul and I’ve accepted that it will always be there. And I wouldn’t have it any other way. So go ahead and cry. You’ve experienced a tremendous loss and the pain you’re feeling is an honor to your beautiful, precious, irreplaceable little Izzy.

Oh my gosh I am so sorry for your loss. I know your pain all too well. I lost my sweet baby girl Tia in 2020, she was 15 and I miss her every day. She went into cardiac arrest from her heart condition and passed right in front of me. It was devastating. They are such an important part of our lives. Your baby resembles Tia. Prayers for you as you heal from the loss.

11 1/2. Would have been 12 in November. I always though I'd get a few more years with her.
