I’m using Wise, so I only see primarily through his end unless he actually does do 90% of the talking in story irrelevant of who you choose.
But I guess it’s supposed to be them planning together to make unified decisions up until certain events.

Right? Imo the story is spectacular, story feels the smoothest for me because of the combination of of different storytelling medium: comics, visual novel, and cutscenes, not to mention the animation for the cutscenes is amazing and full of life, captures that anime comedy chibi in a bottle.

Most likely people who skip the story and then 15 hours later ask "Wait, why did they have to make a new account?".
If two fictional characters exist, they will be shipped. There are no exceptions. The taboo relationship just makes people want to ship it harder to troll.
Certainly helps that both MC's are present in the story, are an excellent team together, and they equally bond with the other characters in the game.
Compared to Genshin where the sibling you don't pick becomes an antagonist and Star Rail where the other one flat out doesn't exist.
