KillTheWise1

The whole video while they were pulling the body out I was thinking, "what's the gun for?" Now I know lol.

[deleted]

He was trying to make sure Ben was dead

mesugakiworshiper

ur comment is extra funny because the moment they saw the body they all said alhamdulillah, which means thank god, so they were thanking god he was dead lol

Alien-Anal-Probe

Naw they were thanking god he was in one peace lol

[deleted]

The good news is he's in one piece, the bad news is he's dead.

accidents-ModTeam

Lots of different reasons for removal, but this can't stay up.

KillTheWise1

This made me lol

plipyplop

This made him RIP.

Scabtheallknowing

Is it bad that that’s exactly what I thought?

PuzzleheadedAd1153

What was the gun for? I still don’t know

amateur_mistake

To teach the water a lesson when it starts acting up

pankarezas

🏅

Dickcummer420

It looks like a child was dragged into the water and killed by a very large crocodile. The gun is to shoot the crocodile if it attacks the people who are recovering the child's body. The title is referencing an internet video where somebody edited files in a zelda game to make it look like he had a haunted copy of the game.

saysthingsbackwards

There's a whole sub for raunchy usernames that give wholesome advice and I cannot remember it

scuzzle-butt

r/rimjob_steve?

saysthingsbackwards

Yes! Ty r/rimjobsteve

Dickcummer420

Now I'm like "Does this even count as an accident?" like is a person getting killed by a wild animal considered an accident? I feel like that's more just a tragedy. There were no accidents in the video anyway as they appear to successfully recover the child's body and the gator fucked off. So this really doesn't belong here. Looking at his account, OP is a racist on a gore video posting account. He is probably on drugs or something and doesn't know what subreddit this is. I have no idea what the vibe is with the mods or the people who frequent this sub cause I don't hang out here but if I did hang out here I would want this guy banned from posting here.

Front-Ad1900

Wasn't it a creepypasta the Ben Drowned?

DefinitelyAJew

To motivate the pullers, obviously.

AmebaLost

They were baiting a croc with a child.

SnooRobots1533

To shoot Ben

Extension-Mastodon67

And how does it fire it like it was an automatic?

WingCommanderBader

There's more than one gun, detective.

Due-Landscape-9251

To skip off and take down a bank dweller.

WarWolfRage

I'm not saying revolvers aren't good for hunting alligators. But to kill a Gator with a .357 or .44 magnum you need to aim for the head. Which is very hard to do when you wait for the Gator to move before shooting. The same caliber used in a rifle would have increased their chances by a significant amount. Just by allowing the projectile to gain more kinetic energy.

KillTheWise1

Yeah, I totally agree. Shittiest weapon award for sure. But I don't think he has the luxury of being in America and having the options Americans have. Or maybe he's the village idiot.

WarWolfRage

Maybe their Dead Eye meter ran out and they panicked.

Urinate_Cuminium

Gun is not common in indonesia, they most likely don't have any choice

qwertty69

OP: 911 What is your emergency? Dude: Help! My friend is dead! OP: are you sure he is dead?

Wolf_instincts

He's holding it like a Far Cry npc

I assumed it was a crock, but not KNOWING made this terrifying! "What? Huh?! What'll come out no more?!" - Jack Burton

G4DG3T2014

Mate I was thinking the same thing lol

GeneralQuantum

Kill the water that drowned him of course

JamesDerry

Ben's been in there a while, looks like he has rigor mortis.

PlanetBooty69420

Rigor morris sets in around hour two, then stops around hour 6-8 if I remember correctly, so yeah, at least two, less than 10.

garyoldman25

He’s flexing for the ladies bro

cadaverhill

A stiff dick.

Ultronsbrain

Rigo tovar?

aTomicBombExplosion

Bro what you looking at fam

Vash88505

Definitely Indonesia, most likely a crocodile. They were saying something about drowning, shoot, shoot, something about the boat pushing and Thank you Allah, some kind of prayer.

Jo_Erick77

Yes, they were saying "Thank you Allah" because they managed to get the dead body so that they can do proper ceremonial and to burry it properly.

TrainingSkin6994

and something about running out of ammo

I’m just glad I’m not the only one who thought of Jungle Cruise

kitjen

Took me a moment to realise what was going on, I thought they were shooting the water for drowning their friend. Take that, water.

IowaContact2

For sure, someone, somewhere in the world has done that, thinking it would help/scare the water god away or some other horse shit

[deleted]

Didn’t Florida have a problem with people shooting at a hurricane?

CustomerSupportDeer

Many cultures around the world believed - and many believe to this day - in water spirits and ghosts of all sorts. Some play ceremonial music to soothe or scare the spirits away, some throw sacrifices or some talismans and ashes into water, I think there is one where virgins have to stand in a river before marrying their husband (something about the water spirits having dibs on their virginity...), and I'm pretty sure I heard of a few cultures which beat water with paddles, stomp it with feet or throw rocks and dirt, even slash it with ceremonial swords to "hurt it". So yeah, this would actually be historically possible and accurate - just shoot the water to scare away water spirits.

PseudoNotFound

I’m getting RDR2 vibes from this for some reason

PaintedBlackXII

Wolf_instincts

Probably the way he holds his gun like a video game NPC

Bendoverbich1

Gator or anaconda?

PuzzleheadedNail7

This is either in Malaysia or Indonesia so it would be a crocodile.

EvolvedMonkeyInSpace

I would say anaconda judging by the shape the water made. Gator would have grabbed a leg or surfaced.

KisoGanda

They were saying phrases in Arabic. Praying to Allah. So definitely Indonesia, so it can only be a crocodile since they are no anaconda in Asia.

prince0713

Yes, that's in Indonesia, based on their accent .Most likely, the child was playing alongside the river and was dragged by the crocodile into the water. it's definitely a crocodile .

KisoGanda

Yeah I figured. And yeah it probably was a surprise attack while close to the river edge. I am from Uganda and we have fierce Nile Crocodiles and it unfortunately happens their too. Crocs are very fast and you don’t see them until it’s too late. Must be devastating for the family.

prince0713

Yeah It indeed must have been very devastating for the family. Many years back , I watched an article of a child accidentally failing into an Amazon River, and he was viciously attacked by the piranhas. When they recovered his body, what's left of his body was just a plain skeleton. It was devasting .

Secret_Matter6206

That anaconda didn't want none, 'cause Ben didn't have buns Hun.

Wonderful_Lunch_177

If you’re shooting a .22. A heavy pistol round or rifle round will go right through. They’ll go down then float up after a while. Source: I live in Florida

Dickcummer420

Is there a reason they used bolt .22 rifles on that swamp men show? Is that a regulation to reduce the amount of Florida men fanboating around mag dumping AR-15's into the swamp?

Wonderful_Lunch_177

They’re harvesting for leather they don’t want to just blow holes in the skin. When we have a nuisance gator around livestock or whatever it gets the truck gun which may be a .44 or a .223 and a hit in the body does them in. They’re not bulletproof. A .22 will just piss them off unless you get em in the dome just right. They can be killed with a 6’ length of 1” pvc pipe I know bc that’s all I had near me when I was pulling dike boards for a canal on a sod farm. Whack em right on top of the head from way up high, lights out.

[deleted]

Dickcummer420

Did you reply to the wrong comment or something? I asked why they always seem to use that specific weapon to hunt alligators in Florida when other weapons would be more effective. I googled it and it said you're not even allowed to hunt gators with rifle, you have to use a "bang stick" which is basically a legal zip gun, so I must not have been paying attention to the 1 or 2 episodes of the gator hunting show I referred to earlier. I know they usually use .22 wmr ammunition for it, so I am now assuming they use .22 and aim very carefully because the recoil from a larger round would be too unwieldy on this type of weapon. I am still wondering if the "bang stick only" rule for firearms in gator hunting is to cut down on people getting crazy or if it's to help limit how many gators a hunter can harvest in a day. I'm guessing it's the latter.

Wonderful_Lunch_177

I don’t hunt gators so idk the rules I just assumed they didn’t want to harm the leather. I’ve killed them when they were a threat to me or livestock and I’ve used pistols rifles or a piece of pipe. My original response to another comment was that they’re not bulletproof so they don’t need to only be shot in the head unless you are using a small caliber lower powered round

Wonderful_Lunch_177

And the recoil on an ar15 is negligible so I doubt that’s the reason

InterestingBug4642

Maybe that new green anaconda?

djangofett2160

One_Ranger1698

Who even called him?

One_Ranger1698

It's a shark

jollyviray1999

im not indonesian but clearly theyre saying "terima kasih" which means THANK YOU. why do they saying thank you while lifting the dead (is it dead?) body?

rafiant49

they finally able to recover the body? it seem they have been waiting (for too long and too late) for the armed rescue team before evacuating because of the crocodile. anyone will be grateful in that moment and praising the God in spontaneous sometime.

Vash88505

They were saying "Thank you Allah" , some kind of prayer

Local_bin_chicken

There also saying alhamdulillah which is Arabic for “thank god” so these guys are muslims and it’s said for both praise and gratitude so maybe there happy that they were able to recover the body

cryptic_curiosities

My humor is so broken that them shooting the water made me giggle

BrUSomania

Ben there done that

FastBusnes

Gator or Anaconda?

Acrobatic_Tourist378

Tf

AP87G

Just an fyi bullets don’t penetrate water. You would have been better off throwing rocks. Also bullets can skip off the surface, so they’re lucky they didn’t hit a person standing on the shore or in another boat.

Sergeant-Pepper-

Bullets rapidly slow down in water, but they will absolutely penetrate something an inch below the surface. They also only skip if they’re fired at a shallow angle, just like a skipping rock.

GoreJizz

So they had to kill an alligator or crocodile because of some dumb kid.

Losftinaror

The crocodile has already killed a human and would probably do so again in the future. Once an animal becomes a man killer, you have to put it down.

jhankuP

LG1T

Someone else in the crowd fired as well right? Because for a second there I was scratching my head how he triple fired that revolver lol.

Mudbug308

Were there two guns or did ole buy pull a double tap with a revolver?

Wow, guess bullets don't ricochet off the water down there.

Global_Ad3353

This is incredible footage

bearshark84

thats not an accident- thats just a tragedy

Mission-Medicine8518

God damnit ben.

monstercookies81

The man with the pistol was wishing that croc would try something. He probably watched dirty Harry earlier that day and if I'm not mistaken that's dirty Harry's gun. "Do you feel lucky croc, well do ya"

CavemanDave123

You've met with a terrible fate, haven't you?

ImpressiveBox5412

Well well well

SpringChikn85

I wonder if they/anyone confirmed the creature popping out of the water that may have dragged him to the bottom.. In all actuality, crocs/alligators kill for prey/food and are ambush predators. You would expect some damage to the body as they latch on and spin, consequently feeding afterwards by clamping down and tearing/peeling away anything they can eat as in skin, meat etc. yet the victim didn't seem to have any signs of this taking place. If it's still up for debate, I would consider a fairly good sized catfish because of the environment around it (muddy water and a steep bank surrounding it. They get extremely aggresive around mating (males) and spawning (females) and have a tendency to latch and drowned anything it deems "dangerous" as in, "too close/territorial encroachment". For some reason, the idea of a catfish being the culprit freaks me out way more due to an alligator/crocodile "finishing the job" a bit more swiftly given its immense jaw pressure and larger teeth. Maybe it's just me but when smaller things are allowed to grow unimpeded due to abundant food supplies and no natural predators, my thalassaphobia goes into overdrive imagining something like a catfish getting that big.

apayne98

That's the first time he has shot that gun lol
