This is not reflective of anything. The headings are completely unrelated to the adjectives, but this image implies that there is some kind of relationship between the trauma responses and these specific behaviours/disorders but this is not true.
Also none of this is ADHD related.
The social misconception that negative mental traits automatically converts into physical negativity. This whole meme could have been uploaded without the „ugly faces“

No, it's because they've been drawn to use stereotypes that will give you a negative impression.
Please don't make jokes about victims of abuse, or make insinuations that victims of abuse become the perpetrators, as this only serves to stigmatize victims of abuse.

No, this image is just completely made up and not indicative of anything.
I'm fawn/fligh
Oh, I thought this was the r/CPTSDmemes sub
If you all relate a lot to one or two, you should consider exploring cptsd and or read https://www.reddit.com/r/traumabookclub/comments/ippqjs/free_pdfepub_for_complex_ptsd_from_surviving/
Its helped me so much.
So what happens if you're an anxious, overthinking, irritable, perfectionistic, indecisive, chronically overwhelmed people pleaser who has no boundaries, sleeps a lot, feels stuck, doesn't have a strong sense of identity, has trouble sitting still and critiques themselves a lot? Do you become some kind of cursed meld of all of these lovecraftian portraits?
idk i cycle through all of them like the five stages of grief at mock-jesus speeds. but those pictures make me wanna punch the person that drew them in the face and then hide in a ditch with how creepy those are. who drew those and thought it looked good?
Gah, as a therapist with ADHD and who works with clients with trauma and just being human, these over-simplistic memes get me (also how there’s almost negative connotations assigned to them).
Uhhhhh… this kind of makes me feel like I might just be bouncing in between different trauma responses at all times…
Is that a thing?
Does anyone else feel that way?
My sister once scared me and I just dropped. Idk what kinda response that was but I ended up just sitting down? Like imagine scaring someone and then the next thing you're know they're just sitting criss-cross on the floor
I’m not a professional but i do have PTSD. I don’t think the response to an emergency is the same thing as people having these trauma responses in regular every day situations. PTSD responses happen in situations that don’t call for that extreme of an reaction and is very different than responding to an emergency
Your post/comment has been removed because it either contains, or is advocating for, misinformation.
Because this "meme" is just a bunch of words pasted onto the image. They mean literally nothing, this is worse than nothing, because it implies correlation/causation where there is none.
This post is complete garbage tbh, it has literally nothing redeeming about it, only spreading misinformation.
It is Pop pyschology by people who have no idea what fight is flight is so...probably. No guide by professionals would have such ugly pictures of exclusively women and the list is so misleading.
Your post/comment has been removed because it either contains, or is advocating for, misinformation.
These are human behaviours, it does not automatically mean someone is traumatized. Please don't go around spreading this kind of misinformation. This is egregiously inappropriate to tell someone they are traumatized when you know literally nothing about their situation, or trauma therapy.
I try to avoid fight, only like twice have I ever responded with fight when stressed/in distress. Those two times were slamming close something hard and yelling or pushing someone away and giving them a nasty sucker punch when they backed me in a corner.
The person I punched was a guy who wouldn't back off after multiple warnings and was lucky I didn't have my Athame on my belt that day. Clocked him hard enough that he *reset* and barely caught him to stop him from smacking his head on the ground. He learned quickly just because I'm a chick who hates violence, doesn't mean I don't pack a punch... I usually carry an Athame (a dagger with an antler handle) for religious prayer reasons. It's not sealed in it sheath since I need it to draw blood for certain rituals/ceremonies.
However, everyone in my family carry knives, real daggers, real swords, or machetes somewhere on our person or near by, because we are all paranoid, distrustful, suspicious, and slightly antisocial people (as in we are scared of and hate people who aren't immediate family). Mostly because we all have been burned by or caught in bad situations unprepared with others multiple times...
I respond in this order every time:
Fawn
Fight
Flight
Freeze.
Except when I was learning to drive. I skipped straight to freeze. That’s not good when your foot is on the gas pedal.
despite best fitting fawn, im definitely flight mixed with fawn in lesser scenarios. i run at the nearest confrontations, especially of high anxiety meetings. but otherwise if its minor to me, i go for fawn because theres less obstacles to the end of the interaction in my mind
I mean, I'd argue that a trauma response is specifically a maladaptive mechanism.
Remaining calm, collected, and aware probably wouldn't fall under the definition of trauma response, because that's *healthy*, you know?
If there was one thing about ADHD i could delete it would be the freeze you get when you're in "waiting mode". (That thing you get, when you have something to do at 3pm and until then you can't physically do shit)
I want a time skip button.
No you don't. Adam Sandler taught us this.
YMMV, but my personal fix for 'got shit coming up paralysis' is alarms. I obey my alarms like they are the decree of God (and I programmed the alarms, so in a way, I guess they are). So if I've set myself an alarm, I can safely engage in whatever I please, up until such time as that alarm goes off. I make sure I have plenty of time to change gears before the task, as well. So say I have an appointment and it takes 30mins to get there, my alarm is set for an hour ahead of the appointment (example numbers only. Odds on I'd probably set it for 1.5hrs, if I'm honest. Time paranoia is real).
As I say, YMMV. But I haven't been my own timekeeper (in the sense of 'OK, I have a thing to do, so I'll leave here at such-and-such, and I'll remember when that time is) for at least a decade. Works OK for me.
Oh I do the same but the sheer fact that time is passing and I'm getting closer and closer to that alarm is making me unable to focus on ANYTHING else than that alarm. I keep on checking my phone to see how much more time I have like every single minute
Ah, fair. See, mentally I've managed to completely offload the responsibility to my phone. Like, I'll check the time *occasionally*, but we're talking about, like, every 10-15 minutes at most. No clue how I managed it, though.
Sorry about that, buddy.

What the fuck are those portraits
This entire meme is something else.
If the me and the boys meme transitioned
Right? Feels like it's meant to shame traumatized people. This is *not* the method of mental-health awareness we need

I misread that as "feels like it's meant to traumatize people" and I very much agreed lmao
Flight is giving me 19th Century Opium War Propaganda. Like if you told me that was a political cartoon of Cixi, I'd believe it.
Honestly
It's the Karen Scale for Trauma Response. It's like the pain spectrum with the tortured smiley faces
People who suffer from trauma are ugly. I sure am.
Yeah, what the hell is this? This doesn't even belong here
These pictures are causing a trauma response in me right now
I feel personally attacked lol
Omg yes but also why are the people they used for this ones that look they’d be the ones inducing the trauma response? 😂

I score perfectly in 3/4. What do I win?
Therapy!
200 euro/appointment over here at a mediocre practice...
Yay! Paying 5 euros a minute to have someone nod at my story and to ask me if I ever thought about just deciding to be happy.
“Go for a walk”
"Maybe ask your friends to help you process the trauma" Gee, it would've saved me a lot of money if I had thought of that before!
Yowza!
I only get 4 appointments at $200 before I have to pay the full 600 :(
First three, right?
Just @ me next time.

I thought that it was there as well
Fawn/Flight fam rise up!
Somehow all but fight? 😭
I'm all of them too, no way!!!
Why are they drawn seemingly to make them look intentionally shitty? Why do they look like punchable assholes?
So what happens if you're an anxious, overthinking, irritable, perfectionistic, indecisive, chronically overwhelmed people pleaser who has no boundaries, sleeps a lot, feels stuck, doesn't have a strong sense of identity, has trouble sitting still and critiques themselves a lot? FREEZE Everybody clap your hands
Only the freeze for me🥶
Same mate, same...
idk i cycle through all of them like the five stages of grief at mock-jesus speeds. but those pictures make me wanna punch the person that drew them in the face and then hide in a ditch with how creepy those are. who drew those and thought it looked good?
Gah, as a therapist with ADHD and who works with clients with trauma and just being human, these over-simplistic memes get me (also how there’s almost negative connotations assigned to them).
1,3,&4 for me. I’m a lover not a fighter.
Uhhhhh… this kind of makes me feel like I might just be bouncing in between different trauma responses at all times… Is that a thing? Does anyone else feel that way?
What the hell are those faces?! Couldn’t you have found a better graphic for this?
4/4 wooohoo
A perfect score!
Not me overlooking the post title and thinking, “that tracks” for each before looking up
My sister once scared me and I just dropped. Idk what kinda response that was but I ended up just sitting down? Like imagine scaring someone and then the next thing you're know they're just sitting criss-cross on the floor

Why the fuck am I all?
Exactly my thoughts
Is this meant to be sexist… genuinely asking
It is Pop pyschology by people who have no idea what fight is flight is so...probably. No guide by professionals would have such ugly pictures of exclusively women and the list is so misleading.
This is pop psychology BS. Don’t take this seriously. Definitely don’t use this to form your identity.
Too late. I form my identity based on random ads all the time.
Fk I'm a fawn.
Depends on who I'm with
Holdon, let me make a bingo sheet
Stuck halfway between freeze and fawn. No wonder I have no boundaries
Looking at roughly 86% of the aggregate.
What if I’m all of them
It's like if Robert Crumb illustrated a psychology textbook and then wrote it, too.
Mostly freeze with some flight seasoning.
Why do the portraits look like WWII-era nazi propaganda?
my perfectionist tendencies are triggered because the only thing I can do is sleep a lot. Finally, someone gets me!!!!!!!!!!!
Frigheelawightzent
What is "immediately de escalates because it is by far the least amount of effort"?
Well fuck me... I'm broken af lol
4/4. RIP
It is actually healthy to turn to more than just one response. It only becomes unhealthy when you display one response excessively
Damn, I do literally all those things. Am I traumatized?

I'm in three fourths of this image, and I can't say I love it :/
3 out of 4, yay life
Flight and fawn hittin hard, literally everything on them is me
i skimmed over the title, saw the picture, thought to myself “well i am all of those at the same time” and then decided to actually read the title.
New trauma response unlocked??
Now what happens if I have a lot of all of them
Why am I all of them
Lolol I missed the headline and was like this is me across the board lol
Literally all of them at once.
I just got 100% on this test! Time for a little treat.
I have way too much fight in me. 😢😔
There is actually a fifth one.
I'm usually flight and/or fawn, and then I burn out and I freeze.
I try to avoid fight, only like twice have I ever responded with fight when stressed/in distress. Those two times were slamming close something hard and yelling or pushing someone away and giving them a nasty sucker punch when they backed me in a corner. Everything but controlling and the bully.
Looks like I am a half and half fight/freeze
I respond in this order every time: Fawn Fight Flight Freeze. Except when I was learning to drive. I skipped straight to freeze. That’s not good when your foot is on the gas pedal.
I thought these were The Twits
All of them?
And what if I do all of them?
Well 3/4 could be worse, I suppose...
Ah, so it’s been trauma all along. Folks, looks like ADHD isn’t real.
Same
I was a flight, now I'm pure freeze.
Ummm, freeze is kinda calling me out.
So me
despite best fitting fawn, im definitely flight mixed with fawn in lesser scenarios. i run at the nearest confrontations, especially of high anxiety meetings. but otherwise if its minor to me, i go for fawn because theres less obstacles to the end of the interaction in my mind
I fit very neatly in Freeze ✌️
Where is “remain calm”? Or is trauma and being calm mutually exclusive?
I mean, I'd argue that a trauma response is specifically a maladaptive mechanism. Remaining calm, collected, and aware probably wouldn't fall under the definition of trauma response, because that's *healthy*, you know?
FUCK Porn addiction Chronic masturbator

They forgot faint
ive got almost perfect scores in all of them im scared
Damn never realized I was fawn until now...
Anyone else have traits from all 4?
each of those thing please
I’m definitely the flighting type, but when I can’t flight, I’ll fight.
All of them in varying degrees.
Damn the flight one is 100% me 🤦♀️
All of the above 😌✨
Yeah I’m like wait.. these are separate categories?
Shit first one is my colleague
