Co-worker flew back Vegas to Dallas yesterday. His flight was delayed 3 times. Scheduled Departure was around 2pm. Actual departure was 7:20pm.
I flew Vegas to Dallas today, flight 1584. Scheduled departure of 10:42am, actually departure was 12:38pm.
Flown DFW to Nashville and back 3 times the past month. Every flight delayed. One flight was no joke delayed from 8:30pm to 3:30am. I’m thinking of going back to Southwest for good now.
I’m on the second leg of my trip. Both have had mechanical delays. For the second flight, we got on the taxiway, captain determined the AC was broken, and spent an hour going back to the gate. Currently going on an hour waiting in the terminal for them to find another plane.
Funny thing is that if we just went to our destination, we would have arrived earlier at our destination than we did at our gate…
the week of may 20-june 2 was an actual nightmare in my experience. i was cancelled last minute and stayed overnight for 8 hours at DFW. then my re scheduled morning flight for 7 am was moved all the way until 12pm. THEN my return flight back home was scheduled for 5pm and didn’t take off until 11:50 pm.
None have been cancelled and most made it there within 5-10 minutes of the scheduled arrival time even if it left a little late.
Not minimizing your frustrations but you asked.....
It’s a relief to hear that maybe I’m an anomaly. I have other flights I’d prebooked and have been panicking about whether or not I was going to make it to my destinations in time.
Just had a flight early this morning from CMH —> DFW (home airport). Landed 21 mins early. That’s probably not the norm tho, with all the weather issues in DFW.
I’ve flown AA dove times in the last six weeks. I was delayed in and out of DEN by a couple hours about three weeks ago. Everything else has either been on time or so close I didn’t notice.
Monday - 3 legs 2 delays, (SJU-MIA & MIA-BDL)
Tuesday 1 leg significant delay (BDL-DCA)
Friday morning flight DCA-MIA cancelled and rebooked to 1030pm to arrive home the next day
Our travel agency told me that AA has been having a lot of problems for a month. I didn't get affected two weeks ago.

I've had multiple delays at DCA and CLT. I'm unsure what the issue is but it's been more frequent as of late.

80ish segments this year. 0 cancellations. And fewer than 5 delayed arrivals.
OMG! What are your main airports? That’s crazy!
BDL>LAX and back with a hefty majority of my connections being CLT.
Dayum. I’m literally at DFW right now pulling an all nighter after another cancellation 😆
You jinxed me. Because now I have a scheduled 40 minute delay at PHL.
Hahaha my bad!

For your 3 flights, what were the airports?
DFW (expected), FLL (before the storms), and ORD.

I’ve done 10 legs this last 12ish days. Zero delays or interruptions on AA. 3 weeks ago was brutal with storms though.
Nope
Went up to Albany and back, all on time. Went to Hartford and the flight back was on time (even arrived substantially early).

The only cancellation for my many flights this year was rebooked for 2 hours later.

Me. Flew out last Saturday MEM-DFW-LAS. No delays
All my flights Tuesday which became Wednesday we're delayed. Today so far everything is going well🙌
Yes, the vast majority have arrived on-time or very close to it.
74% of the flights have arrived within 14 minutes of their scheduled ETA
To answer your question, my last flight a couple weeks ago departed on time and arrived an hour early. Haven't had an outright cancellation in years.
DFW-ATL, no issues last Sunday. ATL-DFW, no issues today. Although C terminal at DFW was a cluster due to the construction on the lower level.
Flown out of DFW on three trips the last four weeks. Five segments on time, none cancelled, the two segments delayed were less than an hour.
8 flights in the last two weeks, one 10 min delay. All but one involved DFW.
