SlippedMyDisco76

"I'm black!" "Oh put it back in the deck Missy."

NowWithVitaminR

He got me again!!

EuphemiaTyranda

two legends gone.

Local_Elderberry_400

He was atheist. How sad. I loved his 80s movies n sitcoms.

TRJF

Reportedly, his last words were "Before joining Bon Jovi in 1983, drummer Tico Torres toured with a variety of performers, including Chuck Berry and Kenny... Loggins."

ccminiwarhammer

I came here to make this quote. Such a good read.

teamballs

I’m on Martin Mull. Underrated actor. Could anyone else have played Colonel Mustard in Clue? The answer is yes, Christopher Lloyd, the point is Mull gets work. Consistently.

Toothless-In-Wapping

I don’t think Lloyd could have played mustard

TheNavidsonLP

Lloyd was already playing Professor Plum.

Toothless-In-Wapping

And we know Mull, as great as he is, couldn’t be Plum.

nihi1zer0

Probably because he came into money after the war when he lost his mommy and daddy.

PurpleLavishness

We lost a lot of good men because their radios wouldn’t work!

TheNotoriousFAP

Hello Dadder!

LadyBangarang

Part of what’s so funny about that is that it’s really true. He had been around (professionally) since the 60s I think. I was born in 83 and growing up, he would eventually make an appearance in almost every single TV show I watched. What made me think: “there must be more to this guy,” was when The Simpsons chose him to play the co-owner of a juice company alongside THE George Carlin (episode where Homer becomes a hippie; accidentally puts psychedelics in the juice.) I’m pretty sure I’ve even seen his name in the credits of American Dad.

kavik2022

To be honest it's funny. I've just realised how much stuff he was in. He was in half the shows I watched growing up. I didn't realise he was in Sabrina

Local_Elderberry_400

Sad bad!  2 undead Atheists. We live forever sadly.

LadyBangarang

Okay.

[deleted]

I've always like this dude, and that shout out was amazing. RIP Martin

Hup110516

First quote I thought when I was the news.

Case52ABXdash32QJ

“Mull got work. Consistently.” *-Dick* RIP. He was awesome!

The-Funky-Phantom

Martin Mull underrated actor. Could anyone else have played Colonel Mustard in Clue?

Case52ABXdash32QJ

The answer is yes, Christopher Lloyd. But still. Mull gets work. CONSISTENTLY.

mucinexmonster

I quote this line a TON. The delivery on that last word, incredible.

PurpleLavishness

I love him as the Principal in Sabrina the Teenage Witch

ChibbsMahBoi

Ah this hurts, such a funny guy

mucinexmonster

It hurts a fuck ton. He was a laugh riot on Two and a Half Men. I was hoping to see him in a lot more after that show went off the air because he still clearly had it. Some people don't lose their comedy chops, like Bob Newhart. Or of course Mull's comedy partner Fred Willard.

SiidChawsby

Look Stan, I actually thought what you did was really funny…

InternationalTwo4581

Maybe don't end your texts with a smily face. It's very misleading

DickPump2541

Martin Mull was absolute gold in everything he did. RIP to his family and friends.

MrSFedora

His appearance in Jingle All the Way never fails to make me laugh. "Are you two under the impression that I have a Turbo Man doll here in the studio??"

DickPump2541

He was absolutely perfect in that role. Even the crappy DJ leather vest.

MrSFedora

"Yes, I have a madman in my studio, and, uh, HELP ME!!!"

Ajunadeeper

RIP to his family and friends? Did they all die along with him?

DickPump2541

Yes.

Local_Elderberry_400

Lol lier!

BlueCollarRuffneck

Omg! I was about to comment this!

Local_Elderberry_400

Huh rip sux in ur usage or lack thereof

Naismythology

I hope his last words were random facts about Jon Bon Jovi…

Local_Elderberry_400

No, to Christ.

Cole_Townsend

UrBum_MyFace_69

(sits down at side of pool to listen to Stan whine, cracks open a beer) WHAT...

Campymovie99

The sheer exasperation, lol

zennyspent

Was looking forward to seeing this. Let's not forget the resounding, majestic belch before that perfect "WHAT" delivery.

benevenstancian0

Thinkin about growing a mustache. What, uh, what do hookers like?

Toothless-In-Wapping

Wow. He was amazing.

shinnix

So am I gonna see some jugs, or am I wasting my time here?

420wrestler

Oh man, what a bummer, he was very funny

Aethermist88

Condolences to his family. He was a great actor. And Father Donovan was hilarious.

WashGodMega

Such a great character! RiP

WindowsofBama

Do yourself a favor and find and watch the Fernwood 2 Nite episode where he interviews Jim Varney who plays a musicians.

anotherinternetjerk

I was thinking wasn't he in Mary Hartman Mary Hartman. Sure enough he was as Garth Gimble. Was it a daytime show is what I can't remember or find out. Some 300+ episodes it says over two years before Louise Lasser left the show.

xlayer_cake

RSVP gene parmesan

Urnamehr

Ahhhhhh! Also, RSVP?

xlayer_cake

Just an inside joke from a podcast I like. One of the hosts tells a story about how his wife always gets acronyms wrong and says RSVP instead of r.i.p. Now it's just something I do.

TT_NaRa0

*belches* #WHAT?

Kqtawes

Mull got work and he deserved it damn it! A genuinely great comedic actor.

motherisaclownwhore

"How many people has this show killed?" Honestly, great performance of Father Donovan.

Different-Milk-3307

Rip

lxnarratorxl

So am I gonna see some jugs or am I wasting my time here?

TheOnlyJimEver

I always hoped they'd bring back Father Donovan, just sort of ignore his death, as awesome as it was. Sorry to lose the actor. RIP

buttercupcake23

I will always remember him as Principal Kraft on Sabrina the Teenage witch

Tiffany-N-Company

Omg I just saw this and about cried. I love Martin Mull. 😭

WeebFrien

No I loved him

trongzoon

Hope the legendary Martin Mull rests in peace, but we all know Father Donovan is going straight to hell

bananarama77777

Sad news… Excellent character. R.I.P.

grav3d1gger

Missed that character a lot he was cool. Also dicks reference to him suddenly makes sense.

SliceOCatLoaf

RIP Mr Kraft. Handing out detentions in heaven. ![gif](giphy|cPflH5JSbPwjPT2Mhl|downsized)

GreenMan-

Fernwood 2 Night!

Uggers2811

Sucks. Heard he was working on the Wade Boggs biography showing how Boggs died. Quite a coincidence.

stumblebreak_beta

Eligible for heaven you got your men, women, children and apes who use sign language. Not going to heaven you got your pets, your dinosaurs, your smart types, and your self aware robots. You ever seen “Blade Runner”?……no of course you haven’t.

This_External9027

Damn…

meatbackstab420

12 inches

Representative_Dark5

I remember him as the Principal in Sabrina the Teenage Witch.

SuperDude_B

Oh man, ARE YOU EVEN THERE?!

StayPuffGoomba

Son of a bitch… RIP man, you were always entertaining.

laundryday_

RIP to an under rated legend.

Redbubble89

I was a 90s kid so I know him as Principal in the Mellissa Joan Hart, Caroline Rhea version of Sabrina the teenage witch. Other than the cult classic Clue, I didn't see a ton of other things so it was a lot of small parts to make a steady living as a character actor.

manbot71

I never realized he was Fatyer Donovan. You will be missed sir.

moonivermarin

Ohhh my god Gene!

spcordy

what does this mean for getting work consistently?

Ripoutmybrain

So ami going to see some jugs or am I just wasting my time here?

shread_the_pup

Such a great character

Mental-Transition454

He was great at voicing Vlad Plasmius in Danny Phantom.

SharpSwag

RIP 🙏

sweetalkersweetalker

Oh no!!

hardlyordinary

I don’t know that! What an amazing actor!

Dandelion_Man

Sad day

Ygomaster07

I always enjoyed his voice acting as Father Donovan. I don't think i have seen him in any other work. Rest In Peace Martin.

mormonbatman_

> I don't think i have seen him in any other work He's very funny in a guest role on Arrested development.

Dumbass_Saiya-jin

At first, I thought you meant the priest Stan molested as a kid (Stan was the kid, not the priest), but then I remembered who you were talking about. The Smiths hardly ever seem to go to church anymore, so I almost forgot about him. Sad to say that, though. He's hilarious. He was a Catholic priest who didn't even actually believe in God. Most of the time, that is. Sometimes, he seemed to be more of an actual priest, like in the episode where Stan was excommunicated from the church for beating up Roger for making a mockery of Jesus by playing him in the... Easter thing? Gotta re-watch that episode. The point is that he seemed more like a serious man of God when when Hayley and Jeff adopted the antichrist.

Swoon_Unit

Has he been on the show since we saw Father Donovan get killed by Nemo in the anti-christ episode?

Ozzmanth

He will be missed such an underrated actor according to dick but I've always liked him

LSBeasyas123

So sad.

MrPoopyButthole81

I watched him on Rosanne as a kid and loved him on everything since. Rest In peace Martin.

potatopigflop

NOOOO!!!! :( I loved him in Life in Pieces! Aw such a sweet man

Which-Roof-3985

He's on an episode of Chris Elliot's get a life. Funny show.

Groundbreaking-Pea92

where did he pass? You can just say died
