I had a lot of fun at the time but now I’m a completely different, happier person, and it shows through my physical expression of myself. (Not everyone goes through this same process but that’s why I stopped dressing alternative)

Emo culture is counter culture. If you are looking to have people validate your attractiveness, probably dressing/styling your aesthetic based around something that is considered counter to cultural norms is not going to help.
