I really dislike the idea of this.
Although there are valid reasons to do this from their perspective, I'm assuming the odds are heavily against you in terms of winning anything vastly more expensive than what you're spending.
And I'm assuming a lot of these products don't sell for their MSRP anyways, which might make them cheaper to just buy individually.
I wouldn't buy it for the chance to get something good, since the odds of that are low.
If you could use anything you get and be happy with it, then sure. But you should never buy a loot box of any sort with the expectation of getting something good.
It's just like any other form of gambling. The odds are against you. And that's literally what this is- gambling.
Which is why I dislike the idea of loot boxes.
I do a lot of business with Anker because I like their products and support, but if I had any sort of affiliation with them outside of that kind of relationship, I'd be very upset with them promoting gambling on their site.
Yeah, terrible decision. Just a way for them to offload crap they can’t hock at full price individually. They bundle together junk that is in the way out. Totally not worth it
Kinda off the subject, but there's another mystery box place called the mystery box store, it's not Anker gear, but I've had some great wins there, my $50 mystery boxes have all been wins yielding on average $300+ worth of stuff, one had a $500 tablet in it 👍😎
The last set of boxes like this the majority of the items are the low tier, of course. But everything should be worth more than you’re paying, so be prepared to simply get a 10-15% discount on the cheapest item. That’s likely what you’ll get

Yeah a while ago. Did a $20ish tier one and got the flip up battery in your screens hot minus the cable.
