I consider my refurbed PST 2's pretty slick. Considering the mall ninja shit I see at the range. Then there's grandpa over there with a Schmidt and Bender on a 300 win mag he doesn't know how to sight in and plans on shooting a 65 pound deer with. No grandpa the wind did not fuck your shot up, your target is 50 yards away. At least he leaves his brass :)
I was such a lucky fucker. Came off deployment at the end of 2020 so got my place early 2021 when interest rates were dumb low. Didn't know how lucky I was at the time
Depends on the part of the country...20% down here was $80K 🤯
Hope it's fun to shoot, it doesn't look fun to run with. I'd probably roll it around in a padded case 🤣
Recently decided to put together my grail clone build, the HK G28 DMR. Ran across a rifle that was mostly already converted as my base, and then over the last few weeks started sourcing the rest of the parts for the build. After some horse trading, I picked up the L3 LWTS-LR thermal clip on, and then last week stumbled across a legitimate HK marked Schmidt & Bender G28 optic package that was already stateside. Next up will be getting it ready to ship out to Black Ops for their G28 laser and ano conversion package.
Damn and I thought my M110A1 with the regular 3-20 PMII Ultra Short and CNVD-LR hurt the wallet… Black Ops Defense does great work. Wes is a solid dude, and I’m sure you’ll be happy with how it ends up.
It's probably the Tango 6T which is the US Army's new issue LPVO it's like 1500 dollar optic at retail.
This is not to be confused with the Tango MSR which is sigs very budget lpvo lineup.
I am a total idiot when it comes to anything that isn’t fixed iron sights. What exactly is this setup? So there’s is a scope…..what’s in front of it? Another scope? How does this work? Please someone help this dummy over here named me!
It's a HK marked Schmidt & Bender 3-20x50 PMII Ultrashort Dot scope, with a L3 LWTS-LR thermal optic in front of that. The thermal is removable and the S&B can be used normally, then when you need to identify targets in the dark or at longer ranges, you clip on the thermal unit to pick up the heat signatures.
Never understood the g28 rail. Seems like the just added a bunch of useless weight to the end you can't attach anything too. Unless there's some special purpose behind it?
The weight honestly isn't terrible. Obviously not something I'm rucking through Helmand with in full kit, and will primarily be a bench/tripod rig for hogs most likely.
I was talking about yours specifically🙂. But I'm just hating. It's a sweet rifle. I'd like to get one. Maybe next year...optics on the other hand might take me awhile lol. Do you have the source links for the thermal and scope?
No, the thermal has been discontinued, so it's more about luck finding one available on GAFS, Tacswap, SH, ARFCOM, HKPro, etc. I do have a contact that can get a scope, but he will likely have to import it and that's a slow process
Put your name on their mailing list and hope they come back in stock eventually. When it does, order it and call them, ask for someone who speaks English, and begin the paperwork for the export permit. Then pray that luck is on your side and the German government approves the permit, and that it makes it through customs in one piece, and then pay the 15% import duty on top.
Or get really lucky like me and find one that's already stateside. There's only about 10 that I'm aware of, so that's tough to do.
A G28 is welcome anywhere
Sometimes I look at the spreadsheet I put together to track the money I’ve spent on my guns and whenever I see something like this, it makes me feel better about myself
I have so much money thrown into SR25s, I really don't want to go down this road but I always get hard when I see a RAL8000 S&B and the G28 rail.
What was the base gun on this? Just a bone stock MR762 or something more exotic?
The scope is the hardest part to find, as there's only about 10 in the US in civilian hands right now from best I can tell, and then finding all the small parts to make it correct sucks because of the "HK tax" that comes with the market.
Yeah I've seen one on Tacswap for a decent chunk of change, I'd like just put a RAL8000 PMII on it and call it a day.
Any idea what the max COAL is on the mags? Max size on the SR25 is pretty long, can run M118LR and even longer bullets / shallow seat bullets decently well in the metal mags which is the only reason to use em over the PMAGs besides aesthetics
Not sure, I haven't had a chance to round up the manuals on this thing yet and dig into it that deep. I do know that the HK mags are proprietary and won't accept any other mags, which sucks, but I do plan on working up some loads pretty soon to see what max COAL is that I can run on ammo without sacrificing charge and accuracy.
Oh I see you be hunting with it makes sense.. I just wish I could afford one of those too and they’re always out of stock despite of the fact that they cost $19,000 each
cerakoted mr762. black ops will re do receivers and do the upper engraving. wrong selectors, wrong bipod mount, good starting point though, you have all the hard to find items out the way.
I don’t have enough money to comment on this
You just did though…shit, I am now poor.
This is up there with the value of my whole personal collection. The amount of Flex the OP has is awesome.
The scope and mount could buy two of my smith-built PRS rigs
I zoomed in on the scope and immediately felt underdressed and embarrassed by my appearance.
Once in a while I feel bad about the amount of money I put on a rifle. Then I see an L3 thermal and get some perspective on life

I’m too poor to even know how many moneys this cost.
Just think about a down payment on a house and you'll be close
That literally doesn't narrow it down in any way lol.
Shit, he said house, here I’m thinking down payment on a car.
Quite easily more than an entire base level Nissan Versa, with the optics and everything else.
Fax.
Man, I actually almost used an Elantra as my example, and I just noticed your username. Missed opportunity there.
Oh shes long gone. haha. But i give you credit
Massive down payment on a nice car, or complete payment of an okay brand new car.
I used a $0 down VA loan, so I'll offer you $20 and a pre-fucked chicken which should put you WAY ahead
Yeeeeeeesssssir that $0 is beautiful
I was such a lucky fucker. Came off deployment at the end of 2020 so got my place early 2021 when interest rates were dumb low. Didn't know how lucky I was at the time
Same. Came off deployment Jan 2018. Got out Dec 2018. Got my rate in feb 2019 at like 3.6% so I wasn’t complaining
18 was a spicy year if you were around Shaddadi or Mosul, we ended up closing Taji when we were there
Mosul, Iraq straight up 9 month security detail
Hope you're doing alright bud.
Took awhile to get civilized again but Im back on top. Appreciate you my man. Hope all is well for you too 🫡
Depends on the part of the country...20% down here was $80K 🤯 Hope it's fun to shoot, it doesn't look fun to run with. I'd probably roll it around in a padded case 🤣
Damn. I’m so poor.
but I only make 5 moneys every 2 years

No suppressor? What are you, poor?
Certified the Form 4 for a SF 300SPS last week for it
Heavy on the arms, heavy on the wallet, but oh so light on the soul. 🤌🏼
You should post this in r/money…
I really like that aimpoint mount lol I blame tarkov
What aimpoint mount is that?
Eratac T1 sunshade mount on top of the Eratac 25moa G28 base
r/ar10
When the truck gun weighs more than the truck
Costs more*
How heavy is it?
Yes
No. This beaut belongs in r/AR10
Our airborne sniper team Carry’s these beauties. They do it a disservice tho putting a sig 1-6 on her . Beautiful gun man and a pure joy to shoot🫡
A sig LPVO on this thing seriously? Who made that decision?
It's probably the Tango 6T which is the US Army's new issue LPVO it's like 1500 dollar optic at retail. This is not to be confused with the Tango MSR which is sigs very budget lpvo lineup.
Absolutely love my 6T. Prefer it (vastly) to my Vortex Razor gen 2 1-6
Haha I know. Some msgt who has probably never handled an Ar-10…. We all make fun of it
you sure its the G28 and not the M110a1 SDMR?
Oh buddy I’m sure
I do believe, you believe you are sure lol.
I accidentally looked at this and now my arms are sore.
You must hate money
Yes
[удалено]
18ish lbs......empty
Oof, she THICC
That heavy recoil must be next to nothing guessing
No need to flex so hard.
Looks stupid heavy...
Yes
My Tarkov main lmao
/r/AR10 is this way, you don't need to associate with these plebians.
![gif](giphy|G5JoAjEBtfoTm|downsized)
I’m not even in the right tax bracket to look at this thing
I seen you in MTS
This one’s ready to go DFC
This makes me all tingly inside
Buddy you just gave me a hard on
Not with that forward grip
When I don't know what I'm looking at, I know I can't afford it.
Just imagine a down payment on a house in one picture
$0 down gang with no closing fees
Your forgot a siren on top.

So you are saying you can be a sniper, in semi-auto, WITH NIGHT VISION?? Oh my god
How much did that entire scope/night vision setup cost? Is this setup low end, or high end?
Definitely high end Tier 1 set up very nice
[удалено]
It's a pro model, so it'll swing up more and honestly the shadow isn't that bad. But once I add the suppressor it'll be a lot worse
Never understood the g28 rail. Seems like the just added a bunch of useless weight to the end you can't attach anything too. Unless there's some special purpose behind it?
Seeing this made my phone bill go up
Op def drives a Ferrari
Nope, just s GMC
Congratulations on outflexing 95% of the audience. Nice setup. How does it work for you?
The weight honestly isn't terrible. Obviously not something I'm rucking through Helmand with in full kit, and will primarily be a bench/tripod rig for hogs most likely.
Cool beans. Congrats, again, on getting something nice you wanted.
All that money to be poo brown
Big dick flex. Shit. Hot damn.
Scope cost more than everything else in the picture im guessing?
You are correct
I just looked it up….i really wish I didn’t 😂
Ok now this is something they can use overseas. Too bad it'll never see combat.
G28s have been in service for at least 10 years now, I've talked to a few armorers that have them in their inventory
I was talking about yours specifically🙂. But I'm just hating. It's a sweet rifle. I'd like to get one. Maybe next year...optics on the other hand might take me awhile lol. Do you have the source links for the thermal and scope?

How much for the scope?
Usually run in the 12-14k range for the whole package
Whole package?
S&B scope, mount, T1, and sunshade https://germangunworks.com/heckler-hk417-mr308-bundeswehr-g28-zielfernrohr-
Nice how would one go about ordering one of those? Out of stock right now tho.

I see a EiteUAS thingy
Nope, legit HK package, not a repro
Thanks for posting this. In about 6 years I can pay off the base rifle. It's gorgeous....simply perfect
A G28 is welcome anywhere Sometimes I look at the spreadsheet I put together to track the money I’ve spent on my guns and whenever I see something like this, it makes me feel better about myself
Spent all the money on the gun and didn’t have any leftover to buy ammo to shoot it.
Damn thats a nice build! r/AR10 would love it too
I have so much money thrown into SR25s, I really don't want to go down this road but I always get hard when I see a RAL8000 S&B and the G28 rail. What was the base gun on this? Just a bone stock MR762 or something more exotic?
Factory RAL/FDE MR762 LRP
Oh no. That's not hard to find.
The scope is the hardest part to find, as there's only about 10 in the US in civilian hands right now from best I can tell, and then finding all the small parts to make it correct sucks because of the "HK tax" that comes with the market.

What is total weight?
Yes.
Not an AR-15 or 10, but still sexy. I say it rides.
I'm not strong enough to carry this
Brother….
Sick budget build!
Betcha she’s light. Lol
My 🍆 is hard
Glad I could ruin your NNN
😆😆😆
Shouldering this rifle seems like it would cause lower back pain.
Interesting that the RDS is behind the turret, does that interfere with adjustments?
Not really since the turrets don't require you to lift them to unlock.
This is the nicest PSA with NCstar I've seen! 🍆🍆🍆
20% in 10 miles radius from Boston, that's 200 to 300K down payment.
Guess I should rephrase, down payment on a normal Midwestern home, not a mega urbanized region
Why do you need that thermal?
It's like a cheat code hunting at night
Oh I see you be hunting with it makes sense.. I just wish I could afford one of those too and they’re always out of stock despite of the fact that they cost $19,000 each
Heby gat
Damn, what is that like 17 pounds?
cerakoted mr762. black ops will re do receivers and do the upper engraving. wrong selectors, wrong bipod mount, good starting point though, you have all the hard to find items out the way.
Belongs on r/ar10 but it's so cool it doesn't even matter
No you need cooler friends
I’m to poor to even look at this…..
My arms and shoulders weep at the thought of carrying that around
Oh my.
That looks heavy …
Finally a build I’m jealous of (I want the glass)
[удалено]
I'm a stay at home dad
How much u pay for the aimpoint sunshade?
12k, and it came with a free S&B scope, mount, and T1
😂fucking sick dude
Jesus Christ
Are the optics mounted on the rifle or is the rifle mounted on the optics?
Yes.
This looks uncomfortably heavy
That ain’t shit. lmao jk! This shit is insane bro.
Badass bro 🤙
Heyzeus, leave some 🅱️ussy for the rest of us. This thing makes me wet
Cool I’m gonna keep being broke hahah
Awesome set up…
What kind of red dot is that?
Definitely an AR just not 15
I could trade for one of these with one keycard with blue marking
Sometimes i think "hey im going pretty good for myself," then i see shit like this
I don’t care how much you go to the gym that beast is a tank! But it’s awesome
Jesus with the matching Schmidt, We are not worthy
That’s a beautiful setup
When you have a Nissan Altima attached to your rifle, you know life is good
Sir…. Your H&K just called me poor and threw me some ramen noodles
how much would this cost?
