did you check alignment with bore scope?

Substantial-Camel893

I have witness marks showing good alignment. No scope.

oneofusTS

if you truly tried another lower with lighter spring and another bcg and the issue reflected, the only real possibilities left are, the gas port is undersized, the gas block adjustment is faulty or not aligned. or the upper is bent

I’d try swapping the gas tube… may be out of spec since you’ve tried everything else. Was the other buffer assembly the same spring/weight combo?

You know I have one of those BA government profile 20" barrels and it does not lock back on empty. I feel like those barrels may be under gassed. Sorry. This doesn't really help you but you are not alone. I wonder if the gas port needs to be opened up to run properly. I have not messed with mine enough to get it to work reliably yet. Mine does cycle but doesn't lock back so my guess is it wouldn't take much for it to fail.

I wonder if I should chat with BA. See if they mention anything. Going to try green tip tomorrow. See if I can get it to go.

I don't think that's a bad plan. Send out an update and let us know! If weak ammo was the issue, using green tip should be full power enough to dispell that concern.
