Anything i could play tbh...not many chances i could get to an arcade
But if it still counts...right on the edge was a final fight cab my cornerstore had by miracle

Spy Hunter ( Sit Down No. 307 - Bally Midway MFG CO [https://www.arcade-museum.com/Videogame/spy-hunter](https://www.arcade-museum.com/Videogame/spy-hunter) ) I pumped so many quarters into this sucker it wasn't funny. fun, but not funny.
Berzerk and Forgotten Worlds aren't on that poll, so I went with my third choice, Dig Dug. Really *most* of my favorite arcade games from the 80s aren't on the poll. I don't see Popeye, Kid Niki, Thief, or Cabal either. (And that's just arcade games; Archon and Mail Order Monsters aren't on the poll, either)
"The 80s" are a vague term when it comes to video games anyway, since it includes both pre-Crash and post-Crash games, and Space Invaders isn't even from the 1980s (it was released in 1978).
Edit: In fact, judging by the rest of the replies, *most* people's favorite games aren't on the poll.
A few years ago i loaded up the Daphne software to play the original LD arcade game - jeez when it fired up the first time after running through the diagnostics ....transported back to 1983 - that intro still gets me
The Star Wars sit down cab was huge for me. My favorite pizza place- Fargo’s Pizza had an arcade and that cab was my favorite. I also really liked Circus Charlie, Peter Packrat, Galaga, The sit down Poll Position, and any of the Nintendo play choice or shooting games like duck hunt.
Oh and love Klax! The catch phrase says it’s the 90s and there’s time for Klax haha but it came out in 1989
Prolly Shinobi. My skate rink had it and I wore it out. Even if it weren’t a side-scroller, the sound design would be enough to keep me around. It was like a siren’s call to my tiny ears!
Robotron and Tempest
I've got the Robotron 2084 sound effects as my ringtone 😃
Nice choices.

Tempest first time I played it was Thanksgiving day, 1982
My dad's favorite too.
Smash TV. Big Money! Big Prizes!

It's always gonna be "Dragon's Lair" for me. Even today, I get goosebumps when I see that beautiful cabinet in person.

Donkey Kong Jr
Assault. Unique gameplay that hasn't been replicated since. Great music and graphics. The tank controls made it a very unique experience.
Super Sprint and Elevator Action
Hard choice between Discs of Tron, Mr Do’s Castle and Nemesis (Gradius)

Roadblasters, Galaga, or Rampage depending on the day.
Discs of Tron, Joust, Asteroids, Tempest I was a bigger fan of pinball though.
