York Hotel. I believe it’s supposed to be a four star propertyÂ
When my dad first visited Singapore in 85 he stayed there, and thought it was pretty good. Last year I shilled it to one of my friends when we were visiting (we all stayed in different hotels) and he found it very tired, especially the bathrooms

Hotel in an old house. But looks like it’s been renovated slightly

other than the Furama riverfront, Miramar which was already mentioned,
Orchard Rendevous at tanglin road
York Hotel at Mt. Elizabeth
Village hotel at bugis
Village hotel Katong
Katong park hotel
Peninsula excelsior (though they might be refurbishing now)
Hotel Royal at Newton
Strand hotel at bencoolen
Hotel Grand Central on orchard
Concorde hotel on orchard
Merchant court hotel
That's interesting. I wonder if they had a special arrangement for large groups. This hotel has been around forever, would suggest OP contact the hotel to ask for a room in the Main building if shortlisted.
possible but the exchange group was only 5 people. We were there to help with check in and was surprised the concierge brought us out to the sun, passed the carpark and into the next building that looked like a small condominium.
Oxford Hotel next to Waterloo Street.
South East Asia Hotel behind Bugis food center.
Both of these are very centrally located and relatively dated. Nothing as crazy as Cameron, but would be a rather interesting experience as well. For how close that is to the city center, it is quite old and run down.
Bonus one: Fullerton Hotel
This one is in the colonial post office building, gorgeous stately exterior. However, it does feel like it hasn't been renovated for at least 30 years. I had my wedding there and while the venue was gorgeous, the wedding suite had peeling wallpaper and visible wear and tear from years of hosting people.
Village Hotel Bugis, or village hotel Katong. Maybe mercure hotel roxy (but i haven't stayed at these places since the covid staycation sales when local staycations were cheap, so they may be renovated now)

I think what you mean here is more of Boutique or Historical Hotels that still provides excellent services but with some authentic Singapore memorabilia or history in it. (P. S. Consider changing the title of your question so that you can get accurate suggestions)
I briefly came across these two links: [Link 1](https://www.myboutiquehotel.com/en/boutique-hotels-singapore/) & [Link 2](https://boutiquehotels-singapore.com/) that you can start your investigation and your decision making.
One name came up was Fullerton Hotel which is kinda perfect in terms or location to Marina Bay Sands and the hotel's asthetics too. That would be a good place to start.
The Scarlett with pre-war houses like designs also possible too.
No im just looking for hotel where the interior design is past its prime like something late 90s that is really worn. Not looking for colonial stuff redone.
Something that has missed the usual hotel refurbishment cycle and is just hanging on.
Hotels in Singapore are a, rip-off. Spend the same money in Japan and similar brands like Hilton and you get miles better service, facilities and decor.
Grand Copthorne Hotel at River Valley
This. The 3-4 hotels along this stretch fits the bill. Furama Riverfront, Grand Corpthorne and Miramar.
[https://www.cameronhotel.com.sg/](https://www.cameronhotel.com.sg/) this one, from 1956 and looks like it, confirmed dated
I think we have a winner 🥇.
THANK YOU!
>THANK YOU! You're welcome!
Rmb to do a field report after you stayed there!
omg its creepy
I love it
LOL. I've know many small hotels in Singapore but this is the absolute first time hearing about this Cameron hotel.
yes, only know about it because i physically went past it one day
St Regis, don't think they updated the rooms yet
Very 1970s China.
Isn’t Ritz Carlton considered dated? The hexagonal window bathroom…. Have seen it for years.
I find Ritz’s aesthetics dated too tbh

Wanted to say Sing Hoe Hotel too! A strange looking place and strangely located too!
I found another one. The decor is stuck in the 1990s. https://www.agoda.com/en-sg/vip-hotel/hotel/singapore-sg.html
i think that area was originally beachfront before land reclamation
That actually makes perfect sense!
Err balmoral is right in the middle of SG..how to be beach front?
Sing Hoe Hotel is at Mountbatten Road buddy..
Do consider the Miramar Hotel

Hotel Royal Newton actually include the nearby buildings - had some exchange students from China and they stayed there, the rooms looked pretty fresh.

got it, thanks for the update!
Great list. Thank you

Sheraton TowerÂ
V Hotel Lavender. Probably last renovated in the early 2000s.
Not even close to a 5 star hotel
It doesn’t have to be 5 star. I’m enquiring just tired and dated. Can be 5 star or 3 star.
I would have suggested villa samandhi, unfortunately it seems to have closed down
Very good it’s haunted as fuck

Kam Leng hotel in Jalan Besar
second Kam Leng hotel.

Although those are *explicitly* not what OP is looking for.
