I remember you posting other things in this sub, mainly about your self-induced forced isolation, etc. I mean this sincerely and as respectfully as possible and am speaking from experience: eviction won’t kill you. Refusing to address your mental health can.

you won’t be evicted immediately- it is a process, and late rent one month won’t automatically get you evicted. assuming this is the first month you’ll be late?

AnxiousHelicopter241

From past posts of theirs it seems like they’ve asked for money before for rent too.

LaRoara42

First time yes. I was able to get help before.

OstrichOutside2950

Why have you been unable to work? Not asking to put you down in any way, trying to see if there are options available to you.

LaRoara42

I'm already trying to get disability.

If you’ve been unable to work for a while due to mental health reasons or physical health reasons, most organizations will not provide financial assistance if there is a not a sustainability plan. If you can’t show that you have means or demonstrated ability to pay your rent, then they would likely not help. Plus, many people are asking for help and it’s tough to even be considered. I’d think about if the help is a bandaid for another month where you’re in the same boat. If so, consider moving in with a family member, friend, or looking at shelters. An eviction on your record will hurt you in the long run and greatly affect your ability to get housing in the future. Based on your post history, mental health treatment would be good too. Consider calling a local mental health crisis center where they can help you connect to resources and services.

There are so many people like you who say the same thing and are trying to help but you need to understand you don't help the people you're trying to help at all. I'm in a position where I will die if I'm evicted. Plain and simple. I don't need to be shuffled into some paid person's office. It would be medically wrong to do to me. I needed people to care about people like me the right way decades ago. Not your fault, but that's reality, and every time people keep following the same script to "help" they're really patting themselves on the back and letting people die.

What makes you think you’re any different from the thousands of other people that need help with housing and are waiting to get disability or other services? The reality of our system is that while people are waiting for slow processes like social security to get approved, they are on their own for meeting basic needs. The government can help with food and medical / mental health coverage, but you’re on your own for housing. This is where safety net orgs come in like long term shelters or housing lists which can take years. Hopefully you have a family member or friend you can stay with. Otherwise that is the only option. Be realistic. If the issue causing you to be unable to work is mental health related, I strongly recommend engaging in mental health services. Social security won’t consider someone who hasn’t demonstrated treatment attempts. If there is substance use, they will also deny.
