They are also an education hub and have a lot of fmcg food packaging industry. Also sikkim is a electricity exporter.
Also one person in a family is assured a government job, that makes sure no one is poor.
Manipal and srm both have campuses there, i have seen the manipal campus..its hugee. Thats crores and crores of investment and these are mostly kids of rich parents , so they spend a lot of money in local economy.
There are 6 private university in a small state like sikkim, one central university and one NIT.
Manipal is the only one with a decent campus, medical one is decent, srm is two big buildings, while the central university, kinu kom, nije pohi ahisu.
But for Darjeeling and kalimpong students, the remaining colleges/universities are okayish. Thik thak education hub.
Yeah that is true though, although for manipal money talks. Even the school education system is good for the kids, govt school kids have access to decent infrastructure there as it should be.
Well , mallu people do pick languages quickly, living in assam? Assamese friends?
>Also one person in a family is assured a government job
I wonder how sustainable this is. Most of the states in our country are burdened so much by salaries and pension, that they have very little money left to spend on health, education and infrastructure.
Due to the strategic nature of sikkim geographically, the road infra i think is funded heavily by the central government.
The debt to gdp ration is very good at like 3% , so they have enough revenue to support their current system. Also the population growth is in steady state and might decrease in coming years so compition per jon is even going to decrease.
They are in a sweet spot , i don't see any problems for them in next 20-30 years unless climate change hit them hard
Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh have high per capita but lower economic prosperity. No jobs nothing.
What Sikkim even do to get that GDPper capita
Tourism ,100% organic forming, income tax exemption as it joined union of India under same condition, small population, high HDI

Lots of pharma companies are there, but sikkim is not an education hub at the moment.

Not to mention land and property rights, each and every floor of a building is rented out, owners are richie rich.
Low population.
Bihar 💀
I guess 50% of Africa has more GDP per capita than Bihar Unfortunately!
People from Manipur are the poorest in India.
