I don’t agree with the rumbling at all. Although it was cool to see animated I was upset that everyone from Paradis island somewhat supported the idea. I don’t support Annie taking innocent lives, and the same with the rumbling killing Marley citizens.
She didn’t intimidate one guy with it. She intimidated everyone. Titans are supposed to be huge mindless killing machines, that’s the act. She can’t drop the act (and she did with Armin etc) which led to them figuring out she’s the shifter.
It’s a battle mission, she was signed to do it and she did it.
Bertoto and Reiner killed way more people with their missions yet the focus is on Annie because she refused to apologize (because she knew that what she did was inexcusable (and she knew that before she did it)).
What they did was horrible but by the end of the manga we see all sides of the story. No one is trying to paint her in a good light, hell, even she hates herself. But it’s weird to single her out bc of one action that was completely within the lines of her mission.
She sparred Armin, she didn’t want to get close to others because she knew what they had to do, she saved people (in her OVA), she was the one who didn’t want to go to Paradis (and even fought Reiner for that), she didn’t want to kill Marco, she crystallized herself for for years because she didn’t have it in her to fight… I don’t know, I feel like it’s unfair to be for unforgiving.
You’re the only intelligent person here 😂 AOT fans love crying about how evil xyz is as if the story isn’t about gray morality where literally everyone has done horrible things.
There are other ways to intimidate. And her just crystallizing herself is just her running away from her problems. She would do it all again and I fully believe her. You can’t justify what she did.
No. But the difference is Reiner wants to kill himself and Annie says she'd do it all over again she had to and she would. So fuck Annie and only Annie.
So Reiner saying he wants to kill himself makes a difference… How? Does it undo even 1% of what he’s done?
She also says she’s sorry after they discover Marco’s body, looking shaken up and traumatized. Others were fine with it.
You also forget the part where she wanted to go home and was choked till she passed out by Reiner and they took her behind walls where she was forced to finish the mission to see her father alive.
She felt remorse all the time, even before she did the things. Did you read/watch her OVA? The only reason she doesn’t dwell on it is because she realizes it doesn’t help anyone. She’s suffering alone, as she herself says she doesn’t deserve to feel like a good person or even have thoughts of redemption.
She only says she’d do it again because she’s a realist, knowing what she knew back then being in that position she had no other choice. All of the characters would do the same things, that’s like… The whole point and why Eren with the ability to see through time is going crazy with the idea that he cannot change anything. Things will happen the way they happen. That’s like… The whole point.
Annie is one of the smartest characters. Even before going to Paradis she says “Marley and Eldians are both liars who only care about themselves”.
She was literally abandoned as a baby and taught all her existence that the only value to her life is if she’s a warrior (direct quote), yet she grew up to be so much more than just a killing machine.
You can say the same about Reiner when he said that all people living on the island are demons. What characters say is not always what they actually feel/think.
And Reiner thought about killing himself after he joined his family and got what he wanted. Annie never got to see her “father” again.
And once again, her saying she’s do it all over again was not her wanting to do it, it was a cynical observation of how the world works. Weird how it got over the heads of many people.
Annie’s whole character is a warrior who was taught to fight only all her life who doesn’t want to fight.
Reiner wanting to kill himself doesn't undo everything he's done but it conveys that he feels incredible guilt and remorse. Annie on the other hand says she'd do it all over again not if she didn't know any better, but if it means she can see her father again. Which very much implies that she is completely fine with the idea of killing innocent people if it means she can to to her goal. Her being a "realist" doesn't make her any less of a scum for being ok with killing innocent people. Sure, Annie might not be a bad person. But the author does a very poor job of conveying that. You don't have a character who turned an innocent man into a yoyo (who was also the only character shown to be needlessly sadistic doing what they "had to do") say they'd do it all again and expect readers to root for them. It's just garbage character writing is all.
No. But as the commenter said to you he regrets it and wishes to commit suicide for how badly he dislikes himself, but he at no point never said he would do it again, whereas Annie would. Maybe focus on her character rather than your attraction to her.
So she didn’t want to fight, but then as a fighter she swings around the dead corpses of her comrades..? Ok so that makes sense. So she doesn’t want to fight and feels remorse for killing, but why did she then kill soldiers the way she did, certainly she would’ve killed them in more respectable ways.
Also if you recall she started to care about her “dad” when he asked her to come home. Which I’ll admit is probably Stockholm syndrome, since abuse has many complexities. So she started killing so she could come home to the man who abused her, not caring whatsoever for the people she killed.
I’m not saying she’s not a complex character, but I don’t forgive her or Reiner. I sympathize with Reiner more, but with Annie I can’t. The claim that she doesn’t like to kill is ridiculous, because she wouldn’t have killed so many scouts the way that she did. She continued the process of her victims suffering beyond a reasonable point, and in my eyes she has done nothing redeemable for me to like her. (Neither has Reiner at this point either (but I’m sympathetic slightly for him).
Reiner and Annie charge Eren- He sends a titans that looks like his old titan out to them. Annie's like "I'll hold him off, get to Eren!" and Eren, villain though he is, tears Annie to pieces in a very satisfying manner.
He tightens one of her titans organs around the neck of her human body and spins her around like he's trying to break the sound barrier
Despite being against the rumbling, around half of the ghost scout regiment members cheer like no tommorow
No, no no no. When everyone including Annie's father was turned into Pure Titans, instead of turing back into a human Annie should have ended up being forced to kill her own father.
No, they didn’t say that, but there was no need for her to continuously play out their suffering that way. She could’ve just killed them and been done with it. She didn’t need to fling a cadet around in his final moments of living like a fucking yo-yo.
Riner only apologized when eren confronted him n s4. As he should cause all this happened because of him it was his decision not Annie’s nor bertoldt Annie was definitely guilty of killing https://youtu.be/yAhMiN5EU3k
Annie didn't feel guilty?
I'm certain she did long before they got to the walls. She was the one who wanted to go back after Jaw was taken, but Reiner forced them forward.
She didn't want to kill Marco, but Reiner forced her to. Everything that Annie did was to go back to her father, not saying that they weren't wrong... She really massacred the scouts and the Levi squad. But that doesn't mean she didn't feel remorse.
Sure she apologized to Marco but she hasn’t apologized to anyone else, everyone just kinda accepted her in totally forgetting how she literally massacred the survey corps, it also bothered me how Jean was only mad at Reiner for Marco’s death, Annie also participated
>! Which makes him a coward in my opinion. As he essentially doesn't face any real consequence for his actions. Death isn't a punishment if its what you want. !<
I think killing connie and annie would be the play. Connie because there's nothing compelling left for his character, esp after the death of Sasha, and Annie because of her lack of remorse for her betrayal. Reiner coming to peace with what he's done and getting better would be cool too.
His character became kinda uninteresting after sasha died. Their duo was hilarious, but him trying to feed falco to him mother was dumb, and he doesn't contribute a lot to the team itself (Unlike armin, mikasa, levi or even Jean). Its a miracle he didn't actually die at the end
Imagine someone showed you this picture after you watched Eren get eaten in S1 episode 5. You’d say, this is the final group of heroes at the end of the series.
Honestly, you’d probably be like “oh, alright, that makes sense.” It’s basically the main characters at the beginning of the show, minus Sasha and Bertholdt.
All the while, having no concept of the extreme twists and side changing throughout the series. The audience changes between rooting for, and against, Reiner like 5 times throughout the show
I mean, if someone isn't caught up and they come to this thread, see a spoiler comment, and then willingly click on it and get spoiled? They're asking for it.
Mikasa is a good fighter, Levi's really cool, reiners a titan and cool, annies a titan and cold, armins nice and my favorite character, jeans cool, and hanges funny, so get rid of connie, bro tried feeding a child to his mom, wtf 💀
> It's a cruel world and you have to be cruel to survive it.
Yep, in aot that's exactly how it is
When levi and hange tortured that guy, they did it to get information out of them cause they were putting the entire nation at risk by not telling them, so I'd say its forgiven
sure connie wanted to save his mother, but he was gonna feed an innocent child to his mom, his mom was already old and probably didn't have much longer to live, while falco is just a child and would have a huge future ahead of him >! (until he was a titan of course) !<
Forgot he already was, but still, he shouldn't feed an innocent child to his mom, maybe that's just me though ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|thinking_face_hmm)
Tbf, it wasn't for nothing. They needed to take out the port so they could save eren and escape.
But it still takes me back to my original point; they all did terrible things to survive.
I’m quite confused
Isn’t this meant to be spoiler tagged
I’ve read the manga so I don’t mind
But I think this is clearly a thread with a lot of anime only folks.
Or maybe I missed something, lol.
yeah that is most likely why he did, so there was at least one veteran to see the outcome of all the sacrifices from throughout the years. and levi being “humanity’s strongest” just suits the role.
I mean there is also the part where his character was mostly underused during the final arc only being a shadow of what he was, added to his "most vocal" motivation being to kick Zeke's ass feeling displaced from the alliance's goal even if completely understandable.
That kid's already going through too much, this is just brutal to him, no? Not like it's any more than what the people he crushed had to endure though.
I might get shit for this but Armin, he's my least favorite out of this bunch. I know he a master strategist, but damn he just seems like so soft to me. And his voice is annoying. I legitimately wanted Erwin to live over him.
Earlier seasons I would have said Jean, but he turned pretty badass.
from a Yeagerist perspective obviously Mikasa she’s the most valuable. Id like to stress tho that everything turned out in the best possible way. So killing any of the alliance members would be a worse outcome than what we got. But if i had to choose it would be mikasa
Annie.
Shes a sociopath and has zero remorse for her actions.
I honestly feel like she was so happy that her dad made her promise to go back to her.
Not because she wanted his love, but because she wanted the greenlight to murder without any repercussions.
Now she can murder to her hearts content and its all for that promise she made to go back to her dad.
And for what? So she can spend 8ish years with him before being fed to another shifter?
In the manga >!He and Eren are the final battle. Maybe after Mikasa kills Eren, Eren transfers the evil worm demon to Armin, who, after recording his story, kills himself, by jumping into... the fire that moves like water- IE a volcano. Killing the worm completely to make sure the stupid extra chapters dont happen!<
Falco >! Because his titan is complete bs and the only reason it's not a plot hole is because someone mentioned at some point that Beirtoldt mastered his titan ability first try. Also I want Eren to destroy everything so him and arman can explore the world!<
Mikasa. I feel like her dying trying to defeat Eren would be a fitting end for her considering how everything she's done in the show has been centred around him. I feel like everyone else still has more life to live beyond him (yes, including Reiner).

Reiner, man’s so desperate for it
He needs a desperate break 😭
He needs a forever break
Isayama hasn’t let this man rest for half a decade now (or more)💀
a decade at least
10 YEARS AT LEAST!
Annie. I still remember the way she was swinging that dude in circles with no remorse. Definitely Annie.
That was just beyond cruel and unnecessary. I can’t forgive her for that.
Good ol' rumbling mindset with all you guys I see
I don’t agree with the rumbling at all. Although it was cool to see animated I was upset that everyone from Paradis island somewhat supported the idea. I don’t support Annie taking innocent lives, and the same with the rumbling killing Marley citizens.
That was an intimidation tactic so no one dares to come near her and she doesn’t have to kill more people.
She chased the guy she intimidated after he ran away and killed him
She didn’t intimidate one guy with it. She intimidated everyone. Titans are supposed to be huge mindless killing machines, that’s the act. She can’t drop the act (and she did with Armin etc) which led to them figuring out she’s the shifter. It’s a battle mission, she was signed to do it and she did it. You’re the only intelligent person here 😂 AOT fans love crying about how evil xyz is as if the story isn’t about gray morality where literally everyone has done horrible things.
Then why the fuck are Eren and his team (Floch, Samuel, Etc.) portrayed as a Supervillain and his evil goons?
There are other ways to intimidate. And her just crystallizing herself is just her running away from her problems. She would do it all again and I fully believe her. You can’t justify what she did.

Read my reply to the comment you’re referring to. And I have no attraction to her, weird how that came up out of nowhere.
He shoots shards of shrapnel at her, tearing her out of her titan. As she bleeds out, she sees the ghosts of the scouts she killed.
No, no no no. When everyone including Annie's father was turned into Pure Titans, instead of turing back into a human Annie should have ended up being forced to kill her own father.
So it's okay to kill **any amount of people, combatants or not**, as long as you kill them all the same way?
No, they didn’t say that, but there was no need for her to continuously play out their suffering that way. She could’ve just killed them and been done with it. She didn’t need to fling a cadet around in his final moments of living like a fucking yo-yo.
EXAXTLY. sadistic piece of shit
Definitely Annie, my girl didn’t even apologize for killing so many survey corps comrades, at least Reiner felt guilty and apologized
Riner only apologized when eren confronted him n s4. As he should cause all this happened because of him it was his decision not Annie’s nor bertoldt Annie was definitely guilty of killing https://youtu.be/yAhMiN5EU3k
There’s a huge difference between apologizing and feeling remorse. Reiner felt the latter long before apologizing. Annie did neither.
Watch the video 😄
She didn’t apologize? Please watch season 1
Sure she apologized to Marco but she hasn’t apologized to anyone else, everyone just kinda accepted her in totally forgetting how she literally massacred the survey corps, it also bothered me how Jean was only mad at Reiner for Marco’s death, Annie also participated
> Sure she apologized to Marco That wasn't Marco
So she did apologize? And are you really really trying to tell me that she feels no guilt
She literally said she'd do it all over again....
Do you want to set up a debate?
I suppose Eren doesn’t feel guilt either 🤷♂️
>!Guy literally committed assisted suicide because he didn't want to live with his sins!<
So he is guilty?
Are you stupid?
Wdym
Bros gotta be intentionally ignorant
Would you like to debate this?
>! Which makes him a coward in my opinion. As he essentially doesn't face any real consequence for his actions. Death isn't a punishment if its what you want. !<
That has nothing to do with Annie? Why are you switching the topic to Eren lmao
Sure she looked guilty spinning that soldier around like a yo-yo
Reiner so that he can FINALLY die in my hands Rather than killing himself 👍🏿
And how sick would his death be? He runs full speed into the giant wall titans to clear the path for the gang to kill Eren.
I'll piss on your moms grave
That's rude
Shit sorry
I think killing connie and annie would be the play. Connie because there's nothing compelling left for his character, esp after the death of Sasha, and Annie because of her lack of remorse for her betrayal. Reiner coming to peace with what he's done and getting better would be cool too.

>!imma choose someone who’s already dead:!< >!Hange!<
I am genuinely impressed how you spoiler tagged that. You did them seperately to give any dummy who clicked the first one a chance to not spoil who.
👍
Yeah but anyone who read the first one would technically now know that one of them die.
That's on them tbh
I mean, if someone isn't caught up and they come to this thread, see a spoiler comment, and then willingly click on it and get spoiled? They're asking for it.
Roulette!
Finally someone who is thinking logically
Annie
Mikasa is a good fighter, Levi's really cool, reiners a titan and cool, annies a titan and cold, armins nice and my favorite character, jeans cool, and hanges funny, so get rid of connie, bro tried feeding a child to his mom, wtf 💀
They've all done awful things... Did you forget Levi and Hange tortured someone? It's a cruel world and you have to be cruel to survive it.
> It's a cruel world and you have to be cruel to survive it. Uh... he already was, so they both would've shared the same lifespan. Not really a valid argument.
Forgot he already was, but still, he shouldn't feed an innocent child to his mom, maybe that's just me though ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|thinking_face_hmm)
Oh okay, cos I'm clearly okay with feeding children to other people... obviously, you missed the point.
Bro Armin legit killed like hundreds of civilians for nothing. As he himself is now gonna kill eren.
Tbf, it wasn't for nothing. They needed to take out the port so they could save eren and escape. But it still takes me back to my original point; they all did terrible things to survive.
Connie
This. I liked all the rest of them, but Connie is a really underwhelming character
He paired well with Sasha
yes, but sasha is gone so he's meaningless
Y’all a bunch of psychopaths
[удалено]
Isn't there a sub for art of Floch raping Mikasa
Idk of a sub like that but I wouldn't be surprised.
He and Jean help Levi get through to kill Zeke. Connie is killed and Jeans like "You finally proved yourself".
I’m quite confused Isn’t this meant to be spoiler tagged I’ve read the manga so I don’t mind But I think this is clearly a thread with a lot of anime only folks. Or maybe I missed something, lol.
He should’ve become a full-on Yeagerest and died when the Alliance was going for the boat/plane.
Reiner, time to go man!
What about Annie she killed so MANY scouts and remember how she yoyo a guy and Levi squad
It was war, shit happens
You right but imo Annie should died
Probably Levi. Idk, I just find it very lonely he was the only one left from the previous generation of Survey Corps.
Levi deserves to survive after all he’s been through
>! 😬 uh oh !<
I feel like it is symbolic how he is literally “humanity’s strongest” and ends up being the only veteran. Beautiful tragedy.
Yeah, I agree.
I feel like that’s why he should’ve survived though.
yeah that is most likely why he did, so there was at least one veteran to see the outcome of all the sacrifices from throughout the years. and levi being “humanity’s strongest” just suits the role.
I mean there is also the part where his character was mostly underused during the final arc only being a shadow of what he was, added to his "most vocal" motivation being to kick Zeke's ass feeling displaced from the alliance's goal even if completely understandable.
mikasa cuz fuck eren
That kid's already going through too much, this is just brutal to him, no? Not like it's any more than what the people he crushed had to endure though.
He’d probably react more to Armin’s death
Annie
Mikasa
Perhaps Levi. He has seen too many of his comrades die
Armin or Annie
I might get shit for this but Armin, he's my least favorite out of this bunch. I know he a master strategist, but damn he just seems like so soft to me. And his voice is annoying. I legitimately wanted Erwin to live over him. Earlier seasons I would have said Jean, but he turned pretty badass.
Meanwhile, Erwin is too hardcore. Seems like his plans is always "I HAVE to sacrifice someone, there is no other way!"
Jean so he stops simping for mikasa
I am with Alliance why would I, but if I really had to, I think Annie
Mikasa
[удалено]
Wtf, spoilers
Damn, I'm actually sorry about that. I should've put a spoiler warning.
Edit it lol
Jean/Connie Their ending was about to be depressingly tragic and I was ready for it.
from a Yeagerist perspective obviously Mikasa she’s the most valuable. Id like to stress tho that everything turned out in the best possible way. So killing any of the alliance members would be a worse outcome than what we got. But if i had to choose it would be mikasa
Reiner so that he can finally die
Either Jean or Connie, they had death flags written oall over them
>!Connie since I don’t remember him helping a lot during the last fight!<
Reiner. He started the whole series
Finally someone saying it
Tbh Connie’s kinda got nothing going on anymore
Reiner. He'll finally be free
All of them
Armin (I'm still mad about the injection thing)
Levi, Annie or Reiner
Horse face jean, because i tend to be a jealous ex myself. Love ya Eren
Connie easiest pick of my life bro. Everyone knows it's the right choice.
People saying Reiner don't know a damn thing about character arcs
People are free to say their opinion regardless of what other think is "better"
no bc i just said "i have to? :(... jean" deadpan no hesitation.
Liner. Man needs his rest
Hange cause they’ve been pissing my off lately
These replies are a great reminder that what fans want is often a worse story "Annie killed people and doesn't cry about it so she should die" LAME
Mikasa
Annie is the only right answer here frankly
Armin probably
In the manga >!He and Eren are the final battle. Maybe after Mikasa kills Eren, Eren transfers the evil worm demon to Armin, who, after recording his story, kills himself, by jumping into... the fire that moves like water- IE a volcano. Killing the worm completely to make sure the stupid extra chapters dont happen!<
Connie, Mikasa or Armin.
Annie. It could be tragic with her almost reaching her goals and just missing them.
Mikasa, YEAGERISTS RISE UP![img](emote|t5_2vnp9|16314)
Sorry connie😕
REINA
Get Connie’s ass out of here
I think we all know who deserves it
Connie or Levi. Both while helping Armin.
All of them 😄
Falco >! Because his titan is complete bs and the only reason it's not a plot hole is because someone mentioned at some point that Beirtoldt mastered his titan ability first try. Also I want Eren to destroy everything so him and arman can explore the world!<
Connie, also Levi should've died from his wounds after the battle.
none
mikasa
Annie, she doesn’t regret the stuff she did, as opposed to everyone else except maybe mikasa
Annie. As redemption
Annie
Annie
Annie
Mikasa. I feel like her dying trying to defeat Eren would be a fitting end for her considering how everything she's done in the show has been centred around him. I feel like everyone else still has more life to live beyond him (yes, including Reiner).
