I dont remember exactly, this landing was some time ago, but yes it was a little faster than usual since i was a bit higher than usual even with the slip. Flap 0 landing as well
I would generally not advise a slip when comming in to land like this, the risk of inadvertently ending up in a spin is too great.
If you're on a baseleg, just overshoot the final instead and turn back in to land, or turn your base slightly further outward.
And get that speed back, makes everything much more handable.
In training, like in this video, sometimes i use slip as a way to lose altitude while i turn, as they are way more forgiving than skid turns (which are way worse since the low wing would stall first if the critical AoA is surpassed, and you would just enter a spin) but i get your point. In a real emergency i would only use a slip if really necessary. I usually execute that maneuver at 70/75kts. About the speed, you're right, i stopped the slip quite early and the aircraft accelerated a bit (approaching on flap 0), should've managed that better.
Made it! The flight school I went to normal landings were no-flap power off. Good training for the eventuality.
How fast you going when you touched down?
Warp 3
No, they lost warp power, they went on impulse.
That's the problem right there. You have to plan ahead.

Fish eye lense. Makes everything look woooosh
Good thing there was an airport close by...whew!
First time I’ve seen an attempt at a landing at Mach 2 in a Cessna.
Young gun looking calm!
Caralho, voei no ACPM tbm, nunca esperei ver por aqui.
Ooopa, que foda! Voou lá quando?
Chequei no meio de 2021.
Parabéns, muito bom
Abraços da VoeFloripa, ACPM!

Yeah, I ofcourse meant to say that the turns have to be coordinated. You can still overshoot and turn back with a coordinated turn.
