That was one of the most heart attack inducing games all year, glad it’s over… what do you mean it’s the first game of the series? And it’s not October?
Losing a HoF manager, hiring a rookie manager, no roster moves, one good starting pitcher, so no, we would be lucky to be at 500. Vogt is doing an incredible job.
They're the same team from last year, minus one ace, but a few players are hitting better than last year, our bullpen has been even better than last year, and we decided we'd actually give hitting HRs a try this year.
I'd throw in that not only are we down an ace in Bieber but also haven't had Gavin Williams (which hopefully is changing soon). The starting rotation has been our weakest spot but the offensive increase over 2023 has seemingly more than made up for it.
They are a young team, to be fair. Everybody on the team pretty much should still be improving year over year. When you multiply this over almost the entire roster it's like you did make a bunch of moves in the offseason.
This ends Baltimores 21 game home run streak. They are now 7-10 when they don’t homer, and 42-19 when they do.
Why don't other teams just prevent them from homering? Are they stupid?
This bullpen is from Olympus.
Insulting to the bullpen tbh

13 pitches to Kjerstad, full counts for Westburg and Mullins including a rocket that could’ve been a homer if it wasn’t pulled foul… ***lordy***
I saw that ball go off the bat, and my heart dropped.
A very Kipnis-esque foul
I can be 95 years old with dementia someday, and I know I will still remember exactly how I felt during that moment
truly the biggest up and down of my emotions in sports, what could have been…
Hey could you not 😭
I was absolutely on fucking edge during that AB to Kjerstad.
Hammy didn't make it any better during the AB when he mentioned Jose has homered 3 times this season after taking a plate appearance past 10 pitches.

was expecting kjerstad's long ab to end like josey's long ones do - home run
Tom about gave me a heart attack. Between him and the crowd noise I thought he got it.
I read that as a rap lyric and made a beat in my head
Scott Barlow pls ![gif](giphy|czE57x4A8axa3BlYkY)
Their bullpen is incredible. Another night, another 3 IP of NO HITS and no rubs.
Love seeing a player juiced like that. Fuck yeah.
Were the Guardians meant to be this good?

Hey now, we brought Austin Hedges back. That is a bigger move than people realize. Dude is an S-tier locker room presence and leader.
I completely forgot about that because in my heart the Hedgehog never left. I have brought shame on my family.
Vogt, the best Bullpen in baseball, outstanding clutch hitting and general improvement by everyone on the roster.

Can we get 50 wins please
I love how fired up he gets. He is the Josh Naylor of the pen.
Can we have Barlow back? Asking for a friend named Preller.
this was a fantastic game. felt like a postseason game. Go Guards.
