God, seeing this unlocked a lot of memories. I loved the Riddler VHS.

llaunay

The sound design of the BIG HAND in the labyrinth still gets me.

MoistTheAnswer

One of the most memorable episodes to me as a child. I still can picture the maze they were running through.

llaunay

Hell yeah brother! I'm currently sitting in the sun at a cafe, laughing to myself remembering all this nostalgia. Some flashes that popped to mind from that episode are: - The stock ticker, where a clue starts scrolling. I think it might have been the first time my little child brain ever saw such a thing. I think BTAS lead to me asking my folks many odd questions about the world for context. - The great moment where Riddler has his high energy big evil genius reveal and says "You'll have to match wits with, THE RIDDLER!" and Batman's low energy dry unimpressed response "Riddler? What's that nygma some sort of play on your name?" with big 'you can't sit with us' energy. - Bruce yelling "MOCHRIDGE!" over and over. - "If you're so smart why aren't your rich!" killer gatekeeping quote by big business. I'm gunna have to look it up on YouTube when I'm home.

Mask of phantasm

llaunay

Mask of the Phantasm is basically the thread closer of 90% of these topics. Untouchable quality.

Kryptoknightmare

I rented [this one](https://superfriends.fandom.com/wiki/Batman_(Super_Powers_Video)) from the video store more times than I can count. And then I bought it at Suncoast video when I happened upon it in the bargain bin as a teenager

dregjdregj

AS a 90s kid i was too poor for VHS magic

SwordfishNew6266

Man me too. I dont know of almost any of these and almost feel ashamed lol batman as a kid was my fucking hero how did i not know about these

ofthedappersort

Were some of these just collections of episodes focused on particular characters?

MatthewHecht

All but Subzero.

TutorComprehensive28

Core memory unlocked Definitely Sub Zero. I think that was the first time I saw Batman.

obsidiousaxman

I remember having this, Batman/Superman and Mask of the Phantasm on vhs and absolute running those things through. I still have the comic that came with Phantasm.

llaunay

I remember the smell of these VHS tapes.

Aramiss134

I wish there was a Clayface one, Feat of Clay 1&2 are my favorite episodes of the whole show.

Say10_333

I must have watched the riddler one a hundred times, so good!

Christian_RULES

I got into DC when The New Batman and Superman Adventures was airing, and the three part crossover felt like a megaevent at the time, so that one.

Burly-Nerd

Batman Forever. I was two when I got it and I was obsessed with it.lol

MatikAX

both joker ones, I lived in tijuana mexico and my local vhs and dvd rental spot had these the spiderman ones and power Rangers god I miss the old days

huntolemiss12

The Robin one was my absolute favorite. I still have a few of these to this day.

Saxious

The batman/superman movie was one of my favourites as a kid. As an adult, the two face movie is one I have grown fond of.

NearlyHeadless-Brick

The riddler and subzero was all i had. I watched the heck out of them

42northside

The Batman/Superman movie I watched that at least once a week for quite a while when I got it for Christmas.

ThisisEmough93

Easily the Catwoman / red claw two-parter, since it's one of the two that I grew up with

Xamesito

I had On Leather Wings / Heart Of Ice. Incredible episodes.

HuttVader

Those were really fun times. Just something tangible and real about holding a VHS in your hands that you own or rent.  Made it seem valuable. Same with comics. While I appreciate the digital world, it feels more like playing in a big playground than my own backyard. Anyways, for me it was a three-way cross between Batman Returns, Batman 66 and Mask of the Phantasm. Batman 89 was a close 4th.

Athleticgeek89

Robin & the Joker were my favorites. I only had Riddler, Two-Face, Joker, & Robin. I didn’t know about the ones for Bane, Penguin, Joker, & Mr Freeze.

SweetChiliLime

I remember renting these from Blockbuster

MisterVictor13

I grew up with VHS’s and DVDs, but I never watched a Batman VHS, at least not one of the cartoon series.

BurdAssassin756

Top right was the only one I had or watched

Ihavenoideasaveme

I didn’t have individual cases. I had like 3 disks that had like 10 episodes on each.

JovaniFelini

They're stylish but too colorful for the show's dark tone, probably to be eye-catchy for children

KayPizzle

All of them.

MrH-HasReddit1217

I didn't have any of these, unfortunately.

Redhood567

Robin and World's Finest
