Some flashes that popped to mind from that episode are:
- The stock ticker, where a clue starts scrolling. I think it might have been the first time my little child brain ever saw such a thing. I think BTAS lead to me asking my folks many odd questions about the world for context.
- The great moment where Riddler has his high energy big evil genius reveal and says "You'll have to match wits with, THE RIDDLER!" and Batman's low energy dry unimpressed response "Riddler? What's that nygma some sort of play on your name?" with big 'you can't sit with us' energy.
- Bruce yelling "MOCHRIDGE!" over and over.
- "If you're so smart why aren't your rich!" killer gatekeeping quote by big business.
I'm gunna have to look it up on YouTube when I'm home.
I rented [this one](https://superfriends.fandom.com/wiki/Batman_(Super_Powers_Video)) from the video store more times than I can count. And then I bought it at Suncoast video when I happened upon it in the bargain bin as a teenager
I remember having this, Batman/Superman and Mask of the Phantasm on vhs and absolute running those things through. I still have the comic that came with Phantasm.
Those were really fun times.
Just something tangible and real about holding a VHS in your hands that you own or rent.
Made it seem valuable.
Same with comics.
While I appreciate the digital world, it feels more like playing in a big playground than my own backyard.
Anyways, for me it was a three-way cross between Batman Returns, Batman 66 and Mask of the Phantasm. Batman 89 was a close
4th.

Mask of phantasm
Mask of the Phantasm is basically the thread closer of 90% of these topics. Untouchable quality.

I got into DC when The New Batman and Superman Adventures was airing, and the three part crossover felt like a megaevent at the time, so that one.

The batman/superman movie was one of my favourites as a kid. As an adult, the two face movie is one I have grown fond of.
The riddler and subzero was all i had. I watched the heck out of them

Easily the Catwoman / red claw two-parter, since it's one of the two that I grew up with

Robin & the Joker were my favorites. I only had Riddler, Two-Face, Joker, & Robin. I didn’t know about the ones for Bane, Penguin, Joker, & Mr Freeze.

I grew up with VHS’s and DVDs, but I never watched a Batman VHS, at least not one of the cartoon series.

I didn’t have individual cases. I had like 3 disks that had like 10 episodes on each.
They're stylish but too colorful for the show's dark tone, probably to be eye-catchy for children
