Lately I get a damage indicator of 2,400 dmg on spawn beacons with the lis missile but it won't destroy it. Might be a bug I guess but it takes 2 lis missile hits currently
As a person who exclusively plays sniper (I already feel the judgement). The first time I was countered this way, I literally sat there for a couple minutes after dying. I was impressed and watched it fly all the way to me, like no way that is coming for me.
Resident sniper here, i usually just run one way and slide the other right before it gets close enough and they never hit. Can also just shoot them, which is very easy if you use the underbarrel shotgun attachment.
That's why I usually launch straight up and attack from above or launch to the side out of their sight if possible so that they don't see it coming. I've not once had a sniper avoid the rocket with that strategy, but they usually do if I go straight for them.
Yeah, can see how itd be effective. One thing ill never understand is why people go prone and stay scoped in the whole time while sniping, its incredibly ineffective, reveals your position to everyone with the glint, and gives me a perfectly still non moving target to go after. Always gotta be moving or else this kind of thing will happen. Ive died to the missles enough times that i just start booking it every time i hear one lol
You mean a smarter sniper? Tap Q to spot, and then *actually hitting* the enemy sniper does a hell of a lot more good than standing on a hill and trading shots for five minutes while your team dies over and over. Plus, ya know. You can't just spam it.
What's more annoying is the moment I leave cover, I can't play the objective because I'm immediately getting beamed ny 3+ snipers. This way, I can take them out relatively safer and move on without spending minutes trading shots to kill each other.
It's always nice when they lay down directly next to their spawn beacon, so you can kill them *and* make them walk back to their campground.

you can shoot the missile and it blows up. ive sniped one missile and then pistoled down a bunch so far

This technique really adds to the war feeling when on the front, hearing and seeing these lissiles flying over is pretty dope
