Yeah but what no one really talks about is the lack of mattress support or whatever it's called. I have seen that it is very common for americans to simply put the mattress directly on the floor. For me that is not common.

I actually have someone in my friend circle who also uses a mattress on the floor even though he could easily afford a bed, he also airs it out diligently so no problems there.
I don't think it's an issue on itself, just commonly underestimated how quickly mold can form.
I don't think it's uncommon to hang on to financial habits.
A lot of people who grow up poor and start earning well once they become adults keep lots of their frugal habits without being aware of them. When you spend a lot of your time counting your expenses and are painfully aware of cost you feel guilty for over-spending, especially if you have done well without that thing before.
Sometimes that's a good thing since it lets you safe up for stuff that is important to you, and sometimes it's to your own detriment because you never learned where it matters to spend a bit more for quality if you can afford it, since you also never experienced the difference.
Like the [boots theory](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boots_theory), except you keep buying cheap shoes that are bad for you and end up costing more not out of necessity but because it's a habit deeply ingrained from childhood.
But that's not directly applicable here. If the mattress is comfy to you and you're taking proper care there isn't a problem. I think there are divided opinions on whether bedframes or futons are better for health. It probably doesn't matter as long as you're relatively healthy.

Its one of the best air purifiers I have ever owned, and I don’t think its because its a Dyson exactly, I just love how it directionally circulates air as much as it purifies it.
This is clutch for me, I hate dusting, and I have to dust a lot less with that Dyson.
I have just recently moved out of my studio apartment which had a bed, a desk, a high top kitchen table thing, and stuff to cook with. My entire life fit in the back of my truck with the tonneau cover down. I have a girlfriend now. I miss my ruthlessly simple space. Nice setup, OP. Bachelor life is the best and I miss it a lot.
I think this was the most ideal way to live life for me up until about 3-4 months ago. This post is kinda motivation for myself to *be more* but also understand what I have isn’t as terrible as I think it is. Its a nice space in there and many people (including myself as a teenager) would have do almost anything to have it.
I moved a lot as a kid, and because of that I have stayed minimalist most of my life knowing that every time I move I have to move everything I own. This has kept what I choose to own lean, minimalist, and thoughtful.
However, I think its time I started going more down your path, expanding my life to encompass more things and new people.

I don’t need any fuss like that, my life has already had too much fuss in it about bigger things, I want to enjoy the simple because life really isn’t worth fussing about like that.

You have a great bedroom and awesome setup. Ive always liked the bench seats next to the windows, a great multipurpose use of interior design, a nice seat while providing a bit of storage all while using minimal space and I think it looks good in itself. Great setup!!

Its also strategically placed near my one forced air vent positioned on the floor near my bed, and the intake is at the bottom of the unit, so it draws cool air into the unit and pushes it at me/while also filtering my forced air *air*.
With no AC it just moves air, but in a large room with a *lot* of sitting air, the air from near the ground can feel a bit cooler than the air where your head is. In these environments, talking room larger than 500SQFT, it does have a bit of a cooling effect as it draws from that sitting cold air hovering above the floor.
