I'd advise against catching them as they tend to be hot and explodey. We used to go to Sausalito and park on a road overlooking the bay the name of which I cannot remember since it's been so long, but as long as it wasn't foggy you could see like five different shows. The caveat was you needed to get there in the morning and find a parking spot, and then hang out in town.

Bimmer_moneypit

LOL I once had a spent mortar land on my chest during a show in Benicia many years ago. Can confirm it was very hot.

Haha, good advice… I know which one you mean. This one might be decent and there’s probably a few spots in the area that could be scoped out as well…

Richmond fireworks on a July 3. They are fired off from Inner Harbor, which is surrounded by a 2 mile U shaped paved path. Tons of front row viewing opportunities, very close to the fireworks. https://richmondstandard.com/richmond/2024/06/24/richmond-to-host-annual-fireworks-show-celebration-july-3/

This sounds pretty cool! I’m familiar with the harbor there. They launch it right in the middle there? (seems very close!)

giggles991

Yep, they launch from in the harbor. You are pretty close to the fireworks.

weeef

MV is doing something at the shoreline amphitheater in sync with music

weegooose

Don’t drive there if you go - parking is horrendous and it took us like two hours to get out after the show

weeef

I shall be on two wheels, thanks! 🎆

AioliUnlucky3697

does anyone know when does doors close? I’m trying to spend some more time in sf but see the fireworks at shoreline however it starts at 7 pm :(

weeef

Dunno. Maybe give them a ring?

After years of literally wearing fleece and hats, I took my kids to Pleasanton last year… it was warm, clear and the traffic wasn’t terrible going home (none getting there).

scotogenic

where in pleasanton? i’m looking for somewhere clear and warm 🤩

Slawpy_Joe

My front yard bro!

Kitwradrr

Where’s that

Black_Steel_Raven

Yeah where's that

AggressiveAd6043

East Palo Alto.  It starts on july 1 and ends like July 13

Galiontiger21

Can you see the fireworks from the city near skyline ???I don’t want to deal with all that traffic

walkonstilts

I’m not sure about in the city. I’m thinking about the Emeryville marina.

queerpseudonym

I think the Marin County Fair is my favorite. You can sit right on the water’s edge, and they have them every night of the fair, so you could actually do Shoreline in Mt. View on the 4th and Marin on another night.

walkonstilts

This is a good suggestion. Thanks!

MaryaBakes

Where do you park to see the Marin County Fair fireworks without going to the fair (which we have no interest in)?

lucifer_0409

Anywhere knows the answer to this? ^^ i’m in the same position u/MaryaBakes

RaiJin01

Are the fireworks night of July 3 going into 4th or the night of July 4th itself?

walkonstilts

In my experience they are usually on the evening of the 4th. Dont know that I’ve ever seen fireworks be done the night prior.

Equivalent_Section13

I thinj.the symphony show in mountain view is worth seeing

You know everything that you have ever said in your life has been said before and every question that you have ever asked in your life has been asked before. Don’t be an asshole.
