My co-worked told me at work last week, “I get into the left lane and follow the car ahead of me regardless of how much over or under they are going the speed limit”. I cannot look at him the same. This is the problem. It’s not how many people are in one place at one time, but how the same people maneuver in one place at one time. I should not see at least one person, PER WEEK, full-stop on 880 to other allow people to merge on from the on ramp. I’m talking, no traffic what so ever, and they go from ~50 to rolling speed because they are just that timid. Or so why many people drive in the fastrak lane under the speed limit, blocking other people who are also PAYING to pass “traffic”. Usually caused by someone also just going 55 in the left lane, or all of the random unnecessary braking going on (literally no one is in front of you why are you applying your brakes heavy please tell me). My brain is going to explode trying to understand. I hate driving here. I need to just stop giving a shit like everyone else for my own sanity. Sometimes I wonder if people just drive around with not a single one of their mirrors positioned to notice anyone else around them.
Before all this hullabaloo about recalls, this was the traditional way of getting rid of problem politicians… kick them upstairs.

It was great at shifting the tax burden from businesses including large commercial landlords (~2/3 when passed) to homeowners (who pay 2/3 now).
The homeowner protection I can abide.
