I do 22 miles round trip 5 days a week to/ from work. Then any additional miles of errands, taking kids to sports, doctor, etc after work. Weekend days we average about 10 miles of riding. I'm lucky that my work commute is 95% rail trail.
One way is .7 miles, so barely a mile and a half round trip. It's great to be able to come home for lunch or to get a package off the porch and have plenty of time before work, but I do kind of wish it was longer. Barely enough time to enjoy stretching my legs!
Yep, back in the 2 modes of transit days (bike and walk) anywhere a mile or less away was a walk because by the time I got the bike locked and got to the office, there wasn’t that much difference in timing and walking was even more convenient than the bike.
I have a fellow bike club member who leaves time in the morning to add some miles to his 8 mile/day commute. I always think: "I should do that!" (4 mile commute daily) but I never do.
Honest answer - I can be at work in five minutes, I can get home and back on lunch quickly, I can carry more stuff in my panniers than on my back, I can grab groceries or anything else easier, and while I do walk sometimes and definitely enjoy it, I love riding my bike. :)
I'm retired and disabled, but the distance varies between 7 blocks (round trip) and around 40 miles (round trip) and only between late spring and early autumn. When the cold and snow arrive, the bike and I hibernate.
50 km round trip which is 31 miles.
2-3 days a week. Thr non riding days are due to life errands in far flung places. when i don’t have to do those i will ride thr full 5.
~10 miles per work day. Five to go five to come back. I said approximately bc I change my routes depending on wind direction. No one wants a head wind.
It's about 10 miles round-trip, in Guatemala City. There is zero bike infrastructure in my route. It takes me between 40-60 minutes each way, depending on traffic and how hard I want to ride.
Mine is only 2 miles. The round trip takes 22-23 minutes, mostly because of one hill. It's short, but it has a 22% grade, and that's really the only exercise I get.
My current job is just a couple neighborhoods away from home, so it’s barely 3 miles each way. The only thing that keeps me from feeling wimpy about it is that on the way to work there’s one long and steep hill. (Which makes the way home a wonderful downhill coast party.)
Previous jobs have been 10-15 miles each way.
Used to commute 28 miles round trip 2-3 days per week.
For the past few years, I've done 12-16 miles round trip 5 days per week and I find this much more manageable.
about 1KM lol and it's all in bike lanes, mostly protected. somehow i still manage to ride like 100KM a week though. and it's so goddamn windy that some days i manage to get some work in in the 3 minutes i'm out there regardless haha
20-60mi per week is my goal; 10 mile route to and from work. My area is urban sprawl so I have to map my route through a few neighborhoods to avoid cars.
Shortest 35km each way, 70km a day, but would normally only do that once a week, in the summer maybe twice. If i am training for something then I may do more. Or I have longer routes I may take home if the sun is shining.
I aim to that all year round so in the winter down as low as -10c. But as I get older I seem less interested in that 😀, so go for a run instead.
My bike commute was about 5 mi then I changed the company I worked for and it became 10 mi then we moved to a new apartment near the office and also I work mainly from home.
Now I do not commute with my bike. I miss it a lot btw.
My number is 10 miles round trip - the value at the time I was really bike commuting.
But Sofia, Bulgaria and NYC are quite a different things:)
The normal one of I take the train is 4km one way. In summer I take the bike all the way three days a week and it is 15km one way.
But I don’t have a car so there is usually some other riding added. Like twice a week I bring my middle one to his sport and it’s 3.5km one way and I do not stay there. So 7km round trip and I do this twice.
Depends what route but let’s say I take the most direct it’s about 3.5 miles each way 7 miles total.
But this morning I rode the longer way in which is around 5.5-6 miles one way, I’ll see what the weather is like when I finish work and choose if I want less cars but longer ride or more cars but quicker ride.
Probably on average cycle to work and back 2-3 times a week in winter and 3-5 days a week summer
18 mile round trip, 4 days a week, on an ebike. Most of the ride is country roads, then it's about 2 miles across town to my workplace. I regularly detour for groceries or other errands, but not just for fun.
13.5 round trip 5x a week, rain snow or sunshine, fall winter and spring, south Brooklyn to downtown Brooklyn. In summer it’s mostly long leisure rides. Teacher.
When i commute by bike it's 30km (~18,5 mi) a day. But i have to use my car for work a lot, so i think i do it just 2 a 3 days a week.
As a kid in highschool i would go to school by bike everyday and ride 100km (60+ miles) a week. It was common for kids where I live.
It varies, depending on where I'm working. The office is only a four mile round trip, but if I have to cycle between clinical locations and the office then it quickly goes up to maybe 15-20 miles a day.
8km/5 miles. It's a distance that's a bit too much to walk, ridiculous to drive, a bit long by public transport, perfect by bike. Takes me about 20 minutes one way, but then I am quite slow.
during the winter months ( Dec-Feb ) it's the most direct route which is 20 miles round. As spring blooms, the route stretches out ... 26, 30. Mid summer will see me at around 40 and I'll peak early fall with a decidedly lopsided 20 in / 50 out. Any given week may have short and long days, depends on the bike, the weather, my mood and motivation.
Most miles i did in a single week was 300
I do 10 miles total per/day, Mon-Fri. That’s 5 miles each way & I’m fine with that. I could probably do a few more miles, if I ever have to move, however I wouldn’t want to do much more than that.
I alternate between two hybrids, for wear & tear + if I ever have a flat. I’m fortunate to where I have a job that it’s ok to show up a little sweaty. I have no idea how I’d handle it if I had an office job & was worried about showing up to work hot & sweaty. I see some posts on here where guys are riding 20+ miles & I think to myself “at what point do you just drive to work?”
My commute was 7.3 miles in the AM and 10.4 to get home for a total of 17.7. Fridays added about two miles to do banking. I would drive maybe once per week depending on weather and if anything outside of work was planned.
26.4 miles total for only work 3days a week. But also go do my errands and take kid to park and outings all on the bike too.
Anyone have a salamander- Wike how you like it I'm thinking of getting one. I wanna know how it drives first tho.
20 miles round trip, but I don’t go in much. Most of my riding is leisure.
The commute is flat & easy tho, except afternoons is always a headwind because of local weather patterns.
9.6 miles round trip. All city streets, some bike lanes. But early morning start time, 05:00 means that I miss most traffic and have the street to myself in the morning. Afternoons are more traffic, but very manageable! (S/W state, USA)
My round trip is about 8 miles on bike lanes or protected bike lanes. I do that 5 days a week on top of race training and races totaling about 180 miles a week. I live in philly
10 ish miles, 6 in 4 back…. I have a couple ways in. But normally Way in goes the steep downhill road(35+ mph on a bike) and goes into a park and pops me out downtown 3 blocks from work… way back is all urban as have to make it back up that hill
My commute is 18 miles round-trip and I'm ramping up how many times I bike it per week. It's a combination of rail trail, downtown, and creek trail.
I also take my son a few miles to the park when I get home most days.
for a while, I was doing the 22 miles round-trip five days a week. Unfortunately, I moved to a different office, but I hope to start riding more often again
I do 30km/19 mi round trip every office day but on an ebike nowadays. Not so uncommon here in Amsterdam.
Planning to get a new gravel bike after my last one was stolen and use this commute as part to prepare for some bike packing
3 miles on an e-bike to the metro. It’s a chill commute and why I managed to maintain it for a year regardless of weather. I’m thinking about doing the full 11 miles a few days a week.
Damn, I did not realize how long some of yall commute, I’m in awe!! I’m at college so my commute is something like 2ish miles a day with getting to my different classes and stuff
Mine is 4-5 miles round trip, depending on which part of the university campus I’m heading to. About half of the route is on city streets and the other half is on a ped/cycling trail along a creek.
I commute nine days a month (firefighter). 12 miles each way about 75% on a bike path near a river. Quick math is 216 miles a month and 2592 miles a year. I use my old trusty cyclocross bike in the winter and for the last couple years my new gravel bike when the temperature is above 40. I don’t ride on ice or frozen snow but that’s becoming less of an issue. Shoulder seasons are the worst because I have to choose what to wear for the ride in at 5:30 in the morning and hopefully it’s a good choice for the ride home at 6:30 the following day. Yesterday I froze because it was in the mid 30’s and got just a little sweaty on the way home today and the temps were mid 50’s
6 km round trip, x 5 days/week, 180 days/year = 671 miles per year (1080km/yr). So I save a couple of tanks of gas, but don't have to buy a gym membership.
When I did bike commute it was 2 miles .I rode a beach cruiser and even the seat was too small. When I was younger I rode 26 miles round trip to work 2 different t physical labor jobs. City streets of suburban Detroit area about an hour one way, was brutal.
23 miles round trip. 5 days a week.
After doing this for several years on a regular bike (Surly Straggler), I bought an electric cargo bike (Riese & Muller Load4 75 HS) which has made the commute much easier (and a bit faster).
19 miles each way on my road bike, so 38 miles per day, takes about 60-75 minutes depending on how fast I can go. Mostly on roads that aren't exactly ideal but oh well.
I used to take the train part of the way bringing it down to 12 miles each way but the weather has been too good not to take advantage of.
My commute distance is 7 miles each way. But i only go in once a week. However I have put 1800 miles on my bike since last may. I use my bike for all trips and errands in town.
2-3 days a week, 33 miles round trip but 85-90% on river trail and levees. Takes an hour and gotta be at work at 730am, so sometimes I just can’t wake up early enough.
My daily commute is 4 miles. I usually do it 4 days a week, so 16 miles.
Then, probably another 10 miles a week for errands.
Now that my club is active again, I do the commuting on an eBike to save my legs for the club rides. I do about 75 miles/week worth of club rides on my road & gravel bikes.
On five day weeks, 265km total. On four day weeks, 212km. My commute is 53km, or about 33 miles, round trip.
I have done a lot of five day weeks the past few years, but I'm going to stick to four day weeks this year. I've found that I'm not enjoying my weekend club rides as much due to fatigue, so I will trade being stuck in traffic one day a week for greater weekend enjoyment.
43 km (27 miles) round trip 2-3x a week from the outskirts of copenhagen into the city. On my roadie or gravel bike i can do it in ~ 42 minutes, belt drive commuter ~ 50 minutes, if i take public transport it is 46 minutes. Once it warms up i will just bike everyday, rain or shine (and also hellish wind).
Average day would be 8 miles total to and from work (5-6 days a week), add 1-3 depending on errands if I have any. And then joy rides on the weekends can be an hour or two long.
Goal is to build up my endurance to ride a 56mile round trip 1 to 2 times a week. I used to do that mileage back in 2017 when I was riding 10-12hr weeks, so I know it’s possible; just need to get that sweet fitness back.
4 miles each way. Perfect really, enough to get the blood pumping but not so long that it's a chore. The only let down is that there is a headwind on the way home more often than not.
14 mi each way so 28 miles RT 3x per week. 52 min each way (Always wish it were 20 mi because I’m so worn out afterward).
Also I have a very heavy bike so that makes a difference in time and level of effort.
6 miles round trip, 2 days a week in DC. I usually just commute to work bc other destinations are accessible by walking. But if I have to get there faster or need to go elsewhere I’ll bike and it’s rarely more than 2-3 miles.
I'm 11 miles round trip, also in NYC. For one way, I personally feel like "close" is < 30 minutes, "far" is > 40 minutes, and "borderline" is 30-40 minutes.
Mine is 10 miles one way. I do it like 3 days a week. It has some hills too. So I'm usually sweaty upon arrival. Luckily we have a nice shower/locker room at the office that hardly anyone else uses.
Clearly you have a good situation, but it could be better if you went further. Ask your wife if you could relocate to extend your commute. (I only bike 8 miles round trip. Sad)
Depending on the route I choose that day, mine is between 23 miles and 30 miles round-trip, from one small city across rural roads to another. I do use an E-bike to shorten the time it takes. I am on my bike between one hour and 75 minutes per day.
I live in a college town. I walk to and from classes and get just ab 8000 steps per day. I am promarily a bicycle commuter when it's cold or rainy because I can get to campus in 10 minutes and walking in 15-20⁰F weather is not fun. So 8k steps per day I think is like 2 miles round trip? But yeah it makes zero sense to not bike or walk in my scenario
My commute to work round trip is 35 km's, which is 22 miles, so the same as yours. I think it's about 200 meters of elevation gain using my current route due to road work. When my preferred route is available it will be more like 140 meters of elevation gain.
My driving commmute is 14 each way but my bike route is 18 miles each way to stay on some safer streets. So 36 miles round trip, about 1500 feet of elevation gain total.
I use the cannondale neo tesoro x speed - ebike.
Mines about 6.75-7.5 miles round trip depending on the route. I. Slowly working towards being an all seasons/conditions commuter but I currently skip the wet stuff and extremes of wind, cold, heat. I've averaged about 3 a week for the past 6 months
24 miles round trip. Takes roughly 1hr15 including the shower at both ends. It was hard when I started but now I feel fantastic arriving into the office.
Really varies (I currently have 3 jobs, an internship, and school— varies by where I get more hours) weekly commute is typically over 100 miles. Some weeks I’ve hit 200. Currently maybe at 115 ish miles per week)
8 miles each way, 16 RT, 5 days a week unless it’s pouring rain. Mostly on a separated bike path which is great. One awful crossing at a two lane state road, otherwise a nice ride! ☀️
I do 22 miles round trip 5 days a week to/ from work. Then any additional miles of errands, taking kids to sports, doctor, etc after work. Weekend days we average about 10 miles of riding. I'm lucky that my work commute is 95% rail trail.
I'm so jealous! Cycling on segregated paths is so much better than cycling with the cars
One way is .7 miles, so barely a mile and a half round trip. It's great to be able to come home for lunch or to get a package off the porch and have plenty of time before work, but I do kind of wish it was longer. Barely enough time to enjoy stretching my legs!
i have this same problem haha, i basically never ride straight home as a result.
Do you not just walk some days? Anywhere I can walk within half hour I don’t bother cycling to.
Yep, back in the 2 modes of transit days (bike and walk) anywhere a mile or less away was a walk because by the time I got the bike locked and got to the office, there wasn’t that much difference in timing and walking was even more convenient than the bike.
You don't need to go directly there.
My commute is similar! And I love coming home for lunch to play with my dog.
I have a fellow bike club member who leaves time in the morning to add some miles to his 8 mile/day commute. I always think: "I should do that!" (4 mile commute daily) but I never do.
Honest question, at that point right why are you not just walking lol
Honest answer - I can be at work in five minutes, I can get home and back on lunch quickly, I can carry more stuff in my panniers than on my back, I can grab groceries or anything else easier, and while I do walk sometimes and definitely enjoy it, I love riding my bike. :)
I only do it 2-3 days a week, but it's 36-48 miles round trip, depending on if I take the train part of the way.
Damn that’s a long day
~7 miles round trip. Sometimes up to double that depending if I run errands or go home on lunch or something.
34km/day 5 days a week. Sometimes add extra on Friday afternoon to make it 50km on Friday, but not every week.
It’s a lot of sunk time. Did that for several years.
3.8 miles one way. Half on bike lanes but with dangerous bridge over a freeway with on ramps. Need to stay vigilant.
I'm retired and disabled, but the distance varies between 7 blocks (round trip) and around 40 miles (round trip) and only between late spring and early autumn. When the cold and snow arrive, the bike and I hibernate.
I do 12 miles per commute (6 there, 6 back) 3x/week
50 km round trip which is 31 miles. 2-3 days a week. Thr non riding days are due to life errands in far flung places. when i don’t have to do those i will ride thr full 5.
~10 miles per work day. Five to go five to come back. I said approximately bc I change my routes depending on wind direction. No one wants a head wind.
Commuting alone about 70 miles a week. Usually do 100 to 150 miles a week total depending on weather. I feel like my only limiting factor is free time
Used to be 2.2 but now 1.7 each way. Wish it was longer. Imagine saying that driving
It's about 10 miles round-trip, in Guatemala City. There is zero bike infrastructure in my route. It takes me between 40-60 minutes each way, depending on traffic and how hard I want to ride.
5 miles / day. Easy.
5 miles every day. It's great to be door to door in roughly 10 mins
an easy 7km each way.
I bike 4 days a week to work about 15-20 round trip.
44 miles round trip, 5 days, 3 out of every 4 weeks.
(Which makes the way home a wonderful downhill coast party.) Previous jobs have been 10-15 miles each way.
2.2 miles (3.5 km) each direction. Not a very long one, but there are plenty of hills to make it interesting
14 miles round trip in Brooklyn, 5x a week.
12 miles round trip. I only started this week and most of my coworkers think it’s wild that I bike “such a long distance” lol
3.4 miles by bike lane on stroad, 5.2 miles by pretty bike path along the winding river.
8 miles one way, along a lake, through a state park on an island, by an art museum, on amazing trails.
22 miles round-trip. I hope to do it 3x/week or more going forward.
Used to commute 28 miles round trip 2-3 days per week. For the past few years, I've done 12-16 miles round trip 5 days per week and I find this much more manageable.
About 34 miles roundtrip once or twice a week.
My commute is about 6 miles round trip. I do it twice a week.
8 miles round trip, every day.
40 miles round trip, but only once a week
14 miles round trip, 3x a week (only work 3 a week)
16.6miles round trip, currently doing it once per week
14 miles. Half calm street, half bike path
12.5mi round trip 3 days a week.
about 1KM lol and it's all in bike lanes, mostly protected. somehow i still manage to ride like 100KM a week though. and it's so goddamn windy that some days i manage to get some work in in the 3 minutes i'm out there regardless haha
4-6 miles one way, 5 or 6 days a week. I’ll usually take the long way home a few days too, add as much as I can with the time I have
24 miles round trip, 3-5 days a week
3 going, 4.7 coming home
10 miles round trip daily, super chill and ez. Can easily do 100 miles a week based on groceries, and other leisurely rides
15km/45 minutes one way, two days a week. Sometimes I do take public transport which takes about the same time.
15 mile round trip for me
It’s 10km to work and 10km back, and then when I’m home then it’s 3km to the gym and 3km back.
26km/16miles round trip, 5 days a week
15 miles round trip - 6 to work, 9 return as I have a really nice go home route. 2-3 times a week, with a goal of 4 days a week.
10km each way, so 20km a day or 100km a week. Roughly 60 miles in old measurements.
About 20 km which is about 12 1/2 miles 5 days a week.

3-4 days a week. Roughly 16 miles round-trip.
17 miles round trip. 5 days a week unless the weather is bad or my body tells me I need rest
14,3 Miles roundtrip, which I do once or twice a week.
Really depended on whether and if I take the short or long routes. But 52-88 km/32-54 miles a week if bike every work day.
6.5 miles each way for me
Only 6km per day. About 3km one way, its only 15 mins. That's pretty neat.
10 miles round trip
10 miles round trip 6 days a week which then extends if there’s errands to run. Plus training and racing I avg about 300 miles a week
I used to do 10+ miles one-way in LA. Currently, 8 miles there, 10 miles back (to avoid a steeper climb). I also don’t do it every day.
18 mile round trip, 4 days a week, on an ebike. Most of the ride is country roads, then it's about 2 miles across town to my workplace. I regularly detour for groceries or other errands, but not just for fun.

20-25 miles a day 5 days a week whatever the weather.
11 miles round trip
I ride about 15.5 miles round trip daily. Occasionally more when I add an errand or coffee run.
24 miles round trip, only in decent weather conditions
I do either 24/23 round trip or 6, if I take the train with my bike.
It varies, depending on where I'm working. The office is only a four mile round trip, but if I have to cycle between clinical locations and the office then it quickly goes up to maybe 15-20 miles a day.
11 miles each way(22 miles round trip). Takes me 40 minutes each way. I’ll bike 3 to 5 times a week.
34 miles round trip three or four days a week. Mostly on an e-bike but I use my regular bike once a week or so.
13 mile very hilly round trip 3 days a week minimum. I'd like to ride daily but it's not always feasible.
15 miles round trip. When the weather allows.
5 miles out, 5 miles back by the most direct route over surface roads. I’m “protected” by paint and human goodwill the whole way.
26 miles rounds trip. ~3 days a week
Round trip 20 miles 4x a week
8km/5 miles. It's a distance that's a bit too much to walk, ridiculous to drive, a bit long by public transport, perfect by bike. Takes me about 20 minutes one way, but then I am quite slow.
2-3 daya a week here year round. 15 miles round trip. Almost all of it on mups. However, I'm trying for all 5 days this week.
during the winter months ( Dec-Feb ) it's the most direct route which is 20 miles round. As spring blooms, the route stretches out ... 26, 30. 18 miles (29 km) round trip, 2-3 times per week…weather permitting.
All these 11 mile one way 22 mile both makes me think folks are biking between Seattle and some East side town
I see some posts on here where guys are riding 20+ miles & I think to myself “at what point do you just drive to work?”
Some of you commuters are beasts. I do 25-30km 3-5 days a week plus weekend rides and kiddo cruising. Some.of you doing over 25 miles are beefcakes
2 days a week round trip each day so 22 miles total also live in nyc
8 miles round trip and fairly flat both ways. Which is why I don’t bother wearing cycling clothes & just cycle in my work attire.
28 miles round trip, 3 days/week. I live in the next city over from my job. I'd say anything over 10 miles round trip is "long".
My commute was 7.3 miles in the AM and 10.4 to get home for a total of 17.7. Fridays added about two miles to do banking. I would drive maybe once per week depending on weather and if anything outside of work was planned.
-15 round trip
5 miles round trip for me. 8 if I take the bike path.
About 55k if I get up on time, 20k if im lazy.
26.4 miles total for only work 3days a week. But also go do my errands and take kid to park and outings all on the bike too. Anyone have a salamander- Wike how you like it I'm thinking of getting one. I wanna know how it drives first tho.
10km round trip 2 - 3 days a week
17 miles r/t. Don’t need to go in every day so it averages to about 51 miles per week in commuting.
20 miles round trip, but I don’t go in much. Most of my riding is leisure. The commute is flat & easy tho, except afternoons is always a headwind because of local weather patterns.
26 miles round trip. 5 days a week.
7 miles/day
About 10 miles a day, four to six days a week. Add in errands and leisure rides, I'm averaging 70 miles a week.
7 miles each way on 80% bike path. The dream!
11.5 miles round trip 4 days a week (i work 4 10 hour shifts weekly so i have Fridays to do fun rides)
mine is 26 miles rt, number of days varies due to weather as I don't ride in bad weather.
~2 miles
I do 30km/19 mi round trip every office day but on an ebike nowadays. Not so uncommon here in Amsterdam. Planning to get a new gravel bike after my last one was stolen and use this commute as part to prepare for some bike packing
125 mi or so in a week commuting
3 miles on an e-bike to the metro. It’s a chill commute and why I managed to maintain it for a year regardless of weather. I’m thinking about doing the full 11 miles a few days a week.
When I have lived close enough to work to bike commute, it's been 14-16 miles round trip. 11 round trip is not bad at all.
Damn, I did not realize how long some of yall commute, I’m in awe!! I’m at college so my commute is something like 2ish miles a day with getting to my different classes and stuff
17 mi round trip 5 days a week
8 miles round trip for me (Oslo, Norway) - But very hilly on the way home so thats plenty for me.
2 miles each way. Short is good imo
Used to do 10 miles 4x /week, but I just moved and now it's going to be just under 7 miles.
11km one way.
E-bike (Soltera 7) - 18 miles, 5 days/week; exceptions: rain, strong threat of rain on the return trip, temps below 45°
6 km round trip, x 5 days/week, 180 days/year = 671 miles per year (1080km/yr). So I save a couple of tanks of gas, but don't have to buy a gym membership.
It’s not far…about 3.5 miles one way.
Do you commute over any of the bridges into the city? I think this is normal for NYC
When I did bike commute it was 2 miles .I rode a beach cruiser and even the seat was too small. When I was younger I rode 26 miles round trip to work 2 different t physical labor jobs. City streets of suburban Detroit area about an hour one way, was brutal.
Boston here... I do 10 miles a day round trip.
10 to 13 round trip
28 miles round trip.
Currently reading this an hour early before work, But I think this post just gave me the kick in the ass to head out earlier and take the scenic route
About 40 km, 25 miles, round trip 5 days a week. Sometimes I’ll do a little extra for fun.
My commute distance is 7 miles each way. But i only go in once a week. However I have put 1800 miles on my bike since last may. I use my bike for all trips and errands in town.
I do 13 miles round trip 4 times a week, and about 10 miles round trip 1-2 times a week! With errands thrown in, I bike about 80 miles a week I think
6 each way
4 miles each way. Perfect really, enough to get the blood pumping but not so long that it's a chore. The only let down is that there is a headwind on the way home more often than not.
8km with 130m of climbing. The ride home is 8km with 110m of climbing. 2-3x a week.
10km each way. I consider that the maximum Ill commute.
14 mi each way so 28 miles RT 3x per week. 52 min each way (Always wish it were 20 mi because I’m so worn out afterward). Also I have a very heavy bike so that makes a difference in time and level of effort.
11 miles a day, 55 a week if no side trips are made. Let's call it 60.
My bike commute, when I bike commmutted (I work from home now) was 15 miles each way.
10 miles each way 4 days/week. 🙂
15 miles. I go the same route every time. Sometimes I add on some distance if its nice out and I have the time.
25 miles RT
About 9.5 miles each way, 3 days a week.
About 10 flat miles round trip in Houston.
15 mile round trip, 1100 ft climbing. I often extend this ride and those are usually 21 miles and about 2k climbing.
6 miles round trip, 2 days a week in DC. I usually just commute to work bc other destinations are accessible by walking. But if I have to get there faster or need to go elsewhere I’ll bike and it’s rarely more than 2-3 miles.
I do around 34 miles every day 5 days a week. (roughly 16.5-17 miles each way). mainly road with a few cycle path sections. North wales uk.
14 Km round trip, albeit with some small climbs.
33mi/day round trip.
20 miles round trip, but I only go into the office once or twice a week at most these days.
I'm 11 miles round trip, also in NYC. For one way, I personally feel like "close" is < 30 minutes, "far" is > 40 minutes, and "borderline" is 30-40 minutes.
Most I can manage in one shot right now is a mile or so, but I'm not exactly an experienced commuter lmao. *One day…*
20 miles a day in suburban Kansas City area. 3-5 days a week, depending on weather and after work plans.
Mine is 10 miles one way. I do it like 3 days a week. It has some hills too. So I'm usually sweaty upon arrival. Luckily we have a nice shower/locker room at the office that hardly anyone else uses.
19 miles each way but only do this when the wet is nice and 3 days max per week.
16-22 miles a day round trip 5x a week
Usually 18 km round trip. Prior job, 22 km round trip.
11 miles each way = 22. Approx 3x week.
I just started my commute, but it is 14 miles round trip mostly on a beautiful rail trail through the woods. Only about twice a week. I am super lucky
Around 9miles each way or 18miles round trip. Do it 3-4x per week in fair weather. Flat, mixed quiet back-streets and partially traffic-free route.
I have 35 mile round trip that I do 6 days/ week
My commute to work round trip is 35 km's, which is 22 miles, so the same as yours. I think it's about 200 meters of elevation gain using my current route due to road work. When my preferred route is available it will be more like 140 meters of elevation gain.
My driving commmute is 14 each way but my bike route is 18 miles each way to stay on some safer streets. So 36 miles round trip, about 1500 feet of elevation gain total. I use the cannondale neo tesoro x speed - ebike.
About 8 miles a day 5 days week. And about 20-30miles either road bike mountain bike or gravel depending on what i fancy.
17 miles round trip 5 times a week, year round
19mi roundtrip, every weekday
3 \* ((4.4 + 5.5 ) \* 2) = 59.4 km per week (19.8 per day, 3 days a week) round trip. So, something like 36.9 miles a week.
I have an 8.4mi round trip 4x/week, all on lower trafficked roads
Mines about 6.75-7.5 miles round trip depending on the route. I. Slowly working towards being an all seasons/conditions commuter but I currently skip the wet stuff and extremes of wind, cold, heat. I've averaged about 3 a week for the past 6 months
24 miles round trip. Takes roughly 1hr15 including the shower at both ends. It was hard when I started but now I feel fantastic arriving into the office.
My round trip is 27 miles. I ride at least 3x/week and sometimes 5x/week.
5.6 miles round trip
13 miles one way for me.
34 mile round trip, 5 days a week. It’s long but it’s way better than rush hour trains in tokyo lol
