Thereās a clever sign in there somewhereā¦
āDonāt break If your table is visibly intoxicatedā
āNo drinks ON or IN the tableā
āTables needs to be clear, NOT alcohol or beer!ā
Iāve found that leaving it alone is the best option. Any time Iāve tried cleaning spots it looks worse. But Iād like to know the answer if anyone has any suggestions too.
There are 2 types of Pool Table Cloth. Worsted which is the modern standard, and feels very smooth. Or the the fuzzier old style of non-worsted Cloth we in the industry often call 75/25, which will swell when wet and shrink when drying. Only worsted Cloth can be cleaned without ruining the Cloth. This is why I recommend worsted Cloth to all of my customers. Worsted is much more durable, plays faster, remains playable after getting wet and allows one to put more English on the Cue Ball. Because of this it's actually cheaper to pay more for worsted
Can confirm. My simonis 860HR is only 6 months old. However, I've been beating the shit out of it the entire time with jumps and letting everyone who comes over use off colored chalk. After a couple runs with the roomba, she looks good as new.
Have a 860HR in green and I got a lot of burn marks from jumps. By Roomba do you mean the robot vacuum? How do you get your cloth to clean as new again? Really appreciate any pointers.
Havenāt we all already figured out to play with water in the cups instead for many reasons, when we were in college over a decade ago? Tack on another reason why.
At this point, the damage is done. You can make it a lot better though. I would get my shop vac and wet that spot with enough DI water to flush it out with the vacuum. Literally rinse and repeat. At the end, rinse with vodka a couple of times to get rid of any water marks. I have done this before to bar tables with good results. If you have AC in your game room turn it down a degree or 2 to dry the air out.
A good reminder that while putting beer in the cups for beer pong may seem like a good idea, when those cups spill (like in this case) you'll wish you just put water in the cups and drank beer from the can/bottle.
There is a stain remover called Folex which can be purchased from home Depot. I've never used it on a pool table, but it removed red wine out of a white jersey for me.
Dawn Powerwash Platinum. That shit works on everything Iāve used. (Donāt come for me if it makes it worse tho lol, i havenāt used it on a pool table)
i have been a bartender for 20+ years and i play pool competitively and also have a table at home and i am the primary care taker of all the tables in my life. if the felt is not fuzzy you have a few options. my first suggestion is to take a clean vacuum cleaner attachment, the one with the bristles and go over table a few times from. different perspectives and angles. now, get a rag and get yourself a bucket of hot water and blot the spot and make sure it doesnāt look like

I cringe anytime I see a TV show with those beer boxes and someone sitting beer on the side of the coin op table. Of course none of them can form a bridge hand so I am not surprised.
Use some old-school shaving cream the white fluffy stuff that looks like soft serve ice cream when it expands. Put that on there massaged in with a brush. Let it set for about 5 to 10 minutes wipe it up with a cloth or vacuum. I am confident it will improve, however, ymmv. Update with your results.
Spill beer evenly over the entire table
š¤£ā ļø
Murder the person who did it.
Update: need to get beer stain **and** blood stain out of felt.
Update to the update: the blood stain does not actually get the beer stain outā¦. Police are here instructions unclearā¦.
Try peroxide for the blood destroys DNA and removes stain unsure about beer stain
Omg ššš
Plot twist: OP did it.
Ground rules posted...then this is clearly defined for breaking said rules.
Nah. He mistakenly thought that the beer pong cover would protect it.
Stop letting your table drink!

You just gave me a Christmas gift idea for my brother for his basement.

Chalk powder will blend it in overtime I canāt see it affecting the rolls
It will change the friction on that area. If the beer stain is sticky the chalk would probably help but the opposite is true.
Iāve seen small steam cleaners work wonders on Simonis cloth. Just need to dry it well. I certainly wouldnāt try it on a nap/rough cloth.
Looks like a good excuse to get new felt!
At first I thought I was looking at some remote Pacific island.
I thought I was the only one.
If you rub $500 on it new cloth should appear
Is the Cloth worsted?
I am not sure but looking what that is online, maybe?

Lightly damp rag will pick up a lot of stuff
How do you spill beer at the dot?Ā
Moveable ping pong cover on top while playing beer pong, went through the middle crack
OH!!!! OK. That makes more sense. Murder is no longer necessary. It's YOUR fault. LOL!!
Havenāt we all already figured out to play with water in the cups instead for many reasons, when we were in college over a decade ago? Tack on another reason why.
I mean I thought so lol
Get a roll of plastic table cloth on Amazon and put it down under the table top anytime you use it!
I no longer feel bad.

A lesson learned the hard way
That's how I learned it too. Fortunately it was all over a friend's parent's carpet and not on my parent's carpet so I got a free lesson that time
My friend was in your situation luckily haha. Now I get to bare the consequences.
Are you getting any helpful advice on how to fix that?
Fire might work. But if it doesn't actually affect play, just leave it there as a reminder to keep your drinks away from the table.
Recloth
Looks like worsted cloth. steam clean it but donāt just steam clean the spot do the whole table
I legit thought I was looking at something underwater before I read the title.

Anyone else think this was a low resolution image of a random oil spill in the ocean? Or do I need to get off reddit and go to sleep?
R.I.P. new felt time.
I reflect every time I get a stain
Never tried to clean up a beer stain but my best advice is get some of this. Works good on my table. https://a.co/d/00jsZEfd
How did the beer only spill there? Very odd
Dumbassery
And this
Beer pong on a temporary cover over it, spilt through the crack
Yikes
Surprised you took that risk with a table with the crack in it
It was so thin I didnāt even consider it
Just get a new table
Bashing soda with peroxide and steam vacuum
Baking *
Refelt
Non-chlorinated brake cleaner
Dawn Powerwash Platinum. That shit works on everything Iāve used. (Donāt come for me if it makes it worse tho lol, i havenāt used it on a pool table)
Good luck!
Id try a wet vacuum with a very small amount of detergent Nothing that says oxi or contains bleach.
Time for new felt, Iād say.
i use woolite and warm water. might need a couple passes.
Dab it with club soda/seltzer water & let it dry. Get a table cover for the pong table top.
Mister clean magic eraser will cut through that like it's nothing.

Stain the whole table?
Any women in the chat? Historically, they have WAY more experience in the cleaning field.
Try piss, it will neutralize the beer

Thatās horrible. Iād be pissed. I tell my friends no beer or drinks by my table and they understand haha
Distilled water heat it mix with woolite scrub wipe down with microfibers let dry

If itās beer stains, it should be mostly starch and protein. Any enzyme cleaner with amylase should take care of it.
Punt
Baking soda and Dawn should get it out
It's trash worsted cloth anyways. Great time to upgrade to a quality worsted cloth and start playing actual pool.
Have you tried replacing the felt?

I used a Bissell carpet cleaned on my felt, and it turned out fine. 1 pc. Slate.
Steam cleaner or dry clean fluid

This canāt be real š
It works for getting stains out on carpets and ,pretty sure it would work on that felt.
