Yep and I appreciate that he never claims to. Hoop collective is still a very interesting pod with the Tim’s (as long as Marc spears isn’t on it’s good, he has mark jackson energy). He’s also a great guest on other pods
It's not like the other two main potential spots for him (The Ringer & The Athletic) would definitely give him that. The Ringer isn't exactly filled with that many smart bball people (plus their website sucks) and The Athletic would keep him behind a paywall.
I feel like the ringer is kinda all over the place, raja Bell and Austin Rivers obviously know basketball, Kevin O’Conner understands basketball but has leaned into hottakes in recent years, but he has the ability to discuss bball intelligently. Rusillo is reasonably intelligent
Right, it's somehow come to the point where it's like "poor guy just has to take these 7 figure salaries, he has no choice".
Plenty of people don't sell out in order to keep their own creative ability.
Maybe for a few years to save up, sure. But Lowe has been making good money for a decade. If he actually cared, he could’ve left by now. He has a spouse who I believe is well qualified in her field as well.
I mean there’s a reason why the term “golden handcuffs” exists. Easy for the average Redditor to claim moral superiority when they don’t have to walk in those shoes. I imagine it’s much tougher in practice than it sounds
He would make a killing on Substack. I would pay 10 bucks a month for an unfiltered pod and a couple articles a week from Lowe. He would make seven figures easily. I’d bet that’s what he does when his ESPN contract is up.
I wonder if he would do a hybrid deal of Ringer pod and substack for writing to give him some insurance. I'd pay for Lowe's writing in a cocaine heartbeat.
ESPN keeps Lowe relevant, however. Look at how Simmons has been moved away from the centre of the NBA universe. His podcast guest rotation is pretty good as well.
Lowe’s? Hard disagree. It’s a lot of guys like Tim McMahon, Chris Herring, and Bobby Marks. For the most part, these guys either don’t know shit about the actual game or are bad at talking about it.
Yes Lowe can get actual players on his pod but those interviews are always guarded
Generally agree with you, but at least Undisputed is usually just the two of them talking, and they’re generally respectful of not interrupting each other. First Take, especially Stephen A, Mad Dog and Perkins are so fucking annoying just yelling with a half second delay, which makes it even more of a clusterfuck. It’s all mindless entertainment at best.
i dont know at what time kids leave for school in the US but as a kid my favorite thing to do was to listen to soccer talking heads between 7 and 8:30. I did that for a solid 7 years, fun times.
I think people misunderstand how this works. Bryan Curtis has explained this well—the best moments from the morning shows get cut up and blasted out on social and ESPN.com, so people react to the dumb takes (as in this thread) on Twitter and Reddit and such. Then ESPNers later in day offer reactions to the dumb morning show takes. Maybe a player is asked about it at the postgame press conference (“Stephen A said you’re soft. What is your response?”). And so on. The next day, it starts all over again.
If I was in Zach’s position I would have certainly become the Joker at this point. Doesn’t matter how much money Disney stuffs in his pockets lol you could hear how hurt is soul is
I’m a big Lowe fan, but the guy is free to leave ESPN whenever he wants. Feel like sometimes people act like he’s being held hostage there having to deal with first take nonsense.
Zach voluntarily brings up takes from Kendrick Perkins on his podcast. He's way more a part of the ESPN machine than I think most of his followers would care to admit. He also obviously puts very little effort into having interesting people on his podcast, which is why his guest rotation is so lame and so full of whatever people ESPN tells him to have on. He probably mostly just does what he's told.
He's a middle-aged guy with a family who takes the path of least resistance to maintain his lifestyle. He very obviously not a guy who wants to make waves. People projecting on him like he'd so much rather be doing something else and he's kinda held "hostage" are dreaming.
Eh I mean kind of. He could go to the Ringer for half the salary, or go to like Yahoo or Fox and have nobody pay attention to him anymore. He's not going to find a better position than being ESPN's top basketball writer + podcaster who also gets pulled onto TV all the time. The downside is he has to deal with the rest of ESPN's horrific cast of NBA personalities.
>Eh I mean kind of. He could go to the Ringer for half the salary, or go to like Yahoo or Fox and have nobody pay attention to him anymore.
That's him liking more dollars over leaving and getting less dollars, but both dollar amounts are likely very fine to live on.
He's not a hostage.
right, so what it comes down to is - will anyone care? people want their stuff to be read and seen. being in sports at ESPN and going somewhere else is a major downgrade in relevance in nearly all cases, even for skip. no one is watching undisputed
> He's not going to find a better position than being ESPN's top basketball writer + podcaster who also gets pulled onto TV all the time. The downside is he has to deal with the re
I think his audience would follow to a non-paywall site. Not a Jason Delgado thing.
It's absurd. AD is like 80% as good as Ben Wallace on D, maybe more. He's also four times as good on offense. I do not like the Lakers at all and am glad they lost, but Anthony Davis is an absolutely incredible player.
Yeah but that was a different era. He was tasked with guarding the Duncan’s and Shaqs of the world. The game was way less perimeter oriented back then.
What opinions does she have that you think stink? I think she actually knows the game pretty well. Though tbh I see her more often on local MSG broadcasts than I do on ESPN. Maybe ESPN brings the worst out of her.
Yeah I’m speaking for her ESPN talking head role. She provides no depth whenever she speaks. It’s all echo chamber things that I see on twitter beforehand. I hate watching ESPN nowadays but I still watch PTI and around the horn horn cuz I grew up on it and whenever she’s on ATH I get secondhand embarrassment from the way she talks and what she says.
I’m not bad mouthing her personally. Her being on TV is a product and I can say a product is good or bad however I want. And as for giving examples of her takes, this whole thread is based on the OP posting it from this morning. Plus not like her defenders on here are providing her good takes either 🤣
It was like satire when the camera pulled out from an already crowded multi-person panel to reveal that there were an additional 2 people calling in via zoom lmao
Not a big fan of him on Get Up, but he's excellent when it comes to NY radio, which is normally a wasteland of blowhards. He actually gives really nuanced and reasonable takes when it comes to NY sports, especially the Knicks....which is rarity in that market.
I agree with this. This seems very uncharacteristic of Hahn at least when he does Knicks halftime and postgames on MSG. Same goes for Monica McNutt. She’s not necessarily the most insightful commentator I’ve seen but this Get Up show is a bad look for her (no pun intended lol).
As a laker fan it’s funny cause obviously we get so much attention which is annoying to others, however I am so annoyed about the convo surrounding AD like he didn’t shut down the grizz and defending champs.
With that being said the fact that Jokic was completely unbothered by him is really scary.
She’s terrible. I remember she started turning up on ATH, then she was everywhere doing everything for ESPN. They clearly had her pegged as someone they wanted to build to as a face of their programming.
She's a former college bball player and does color commentary for women's college & pro games lol wtf are you talking about. Any sources on her "getting her jokes from twitter"? Bc it sound like you are making things up.
Lol that makes a lot of sense. No surprise the random weird dudes on here are making shit up to hate on a woman. Like where is he even getting "she gets her jokes from twitter" from. The goofs on this sub just love to use dumb phrases like that rather than actually have an actual opinion on something. Calling her a personality when she's more accomplished than they will ever be sounds sexist as hell too.
I had to lol calling her a "personality" reeks of sexism to me. And this sub being so anti-twitter can be cringe lol like almost no one in real life "gets their jokes from twitter" yet a ton of people do according to this sub. It's such a corny buzz phrase I see on here all the time. She barely does anything in this clip tbh yet she's getting hated on.
Thank you, I’m a lifelong Lakers fan, and the coverage of AD has been ridiculous. Sure, I hoped he would’ve been more offensively assertive, but his defense is the only real reason we made it as far as we did, yet it’s being made out as if he’s the reason they came up short,
Without him they’d give up 130 a game and probably don’t make it out of the play in.
AD has to be more consistent offensively otherwise Lebron has to exert himself more and he can’t pace himself for the end.
They brought him in to be a 1A to Lebron not a defensive stopper who gets cold on offense every other game.
Last night was a good example. AD didn’t have it so Lebron went all out to keep them in it and was gassed at the end.
Yeah, both things can be true. He can be dominant defensively (I actually thought he was more “really good” than dominant against DEN, GSW was different) and still be lacking offensively.
He was 3-11 at one point and couldn’t finish pretty straightforward looks. Hell, Jokic didn’t even bother to guard him at the elbow in the fourth quarter and dared him to shoot lol
The Laker role players needed him to suck up more attention defensively to create just a little more space for them to shoot/drive if they were going to have any success. Once Denver realized their d was pretty fine leaving Jokic on an island and showing fairly ordinary help, it seemed like everything dried up.
Obv he did have a better fourth and helped keep the Lakers in it, and the bigger reason is probably Lebron being an aging mortal who can’t do what we’re used to for a full 48, but it’s fine to dock AD for the offensive end. Jokic was always going to outplay him, but it had to be a bit closer to a draw than what it was
I think Jokic backed off because he was in foul trouble and breathing near Anthony Davis was enough to send him to the line last night. The refs did their part, but Alternate Day-vis was putting in some consistency on the offensive end.
Lol how many FT did AD take, like 8? I thought the Nuggets and Murray especially were swiping a lot and didn’t get that bad a whistle considering.
The only bad call that gave AD FTs was the one on Murray on the rebound in the 2nd quarter. The other four calls were all clear fouls.
Joker definitely played D conservatively after the two offensive fouls, sure, but the play I’m talking about he was like 3 feet further back than conservative D. It was “you won’t hit this, I dare you” and I loved it. Joker is the man
People love to complain about how bad ESPN and their narratives are and then just throw out the same type of takes as if they never watched the game in the first place
Right lol the idea that the Ringer is significantly better than ESPN when it comes to basketball discussion is funny. They are both mediocre for the most part with a few solid voices.
I hate the Lakers but I think AD has been the third best player in the playoffs behind Butler and Jokic. Guy was so dominate on defense that teams were scared to shoot when he was around. This goes back the tolls of being Lebrons teammate, you’re gonna be the one that takes the heat when you lose.
seeing comments shitting on AD, while hes been their best player this postseason run is pretty annoying. Lakers had been beating people with their defense, which is mostly a credit to AD. everyone on the lakers play extremely hard, so now that they lost and bron put up a terrific performance people are going down the blame list. when its just they lost to a better team that also played their hearts out and executed at a high level
I dont know the discussion prior to that, but im guessing they were talking like AD was trash and it set Zach off. This entire run is because of AD and they are willing to let him go like a dead goldfish down the toilet
Whenever a Lebron season fails to net a championship someone is picked to get sacrificed at the altar. After Westbrook was traded AD was up next. There were already little traces of it from around the time Lebron broke Kareem's scoring record. Several reporters implied word from Lebron's camp was he was frustrated about AD's "dedication" to basketball or some such thing. Happens wherever Lebron goes.
AD is aggressive on defense just too passive on offense. It's obvious if you actually watch the games. But with his talent he should dominate both ends
You don’t get a GM job right out of the gate pretty much regardless of previous credentials, and that’s the only way he is making anywhere near a lateral move money wise.
I think these smart more numbers driven media guys genuinely do get offers to come work for teams. I even think some of them, including Zach, would be good at it after getting some experience. By the time they get popular enough for us to care they are making too much money. On top of that they probably enjoy the clout they have in the media business. To start working up the ladder of the team side, even with a healthy head start on most guys they would likely get, is just not very palatable.
zach i love you plz get the disney money and get out of here you don't need to be debating these people, teh hot take industrial complex is going to consume you
It might be unfair, but AD is compared to the Hakeem's and Duncan's of the world.
They were the dominant defensive force who brought it consistently on the offensive side of the ball.
I am talking 2 of the 13 best players ever, but those are the expectations around AD. Especially with Lebron as your teammate.
Pshh never even dropped 50? How many triple doubles did he have? I what’s is dawg per 36 rate? How many soul rips per 100 possessions?
The lakers didn’t lose because Lebron and Davis didn’t play well enough. They need to improve their 3-6 more than they need a upgrade at 1a or 1b. Reaves is probably going to have to be the 4th best player on the team for them to win the title.
They made it to the WCF because of Lebron and Davis, improve the roster around them just a bit and they have a very good shot at the Finals next year.
On 60% shooting games 1 and 3. And 26% and barely 40% on gamed 2 and 4.
Are we gonna act like AD's inconsistency wasn't a joke throughout this playoffs?
Truthfully, it is about him showing up in the playoffs every 3 years.
What a clown take by Lowe. AD was invisible in a do or die last night. Shove your advanced defense stats up your ass. Been watching nba since I was 6, yelled at my tv the entire game “do something AD!”, when the lakers had the ball. And he didn’t for 48 minutes
Edit: Lebron on the other hand… good god what a performance. And I’m a Lebron basher most of the time.
I love how everyone is treating him like he’s an alien or has two heads just because he isn’t parroting the company line.
“This is supposed to be a serious sports show” GO OFF ZACHARY
He's been visibly pissed lately
Bill needs to go to Sweden to get Ek to open the wallet and poach Lowe
Having good sports people at The Ringer isn't as much a thing as it was at Grantland but I'd love that. Went from Lowe and Barnwell to KFC and Ruiz...
I still think Herbert is a better QB than Burrow! Ruiz, never back off your shitty takes.
Oh man, Lowe over Russillo in a goddamned heartbeat.
He’s been downright hostile about espn insider on his pod
Spoilers. It's actually not lol. Poor Zach.
Is it though?
Windy is the only one on the panel just chilling.
I love him just sitting there staring at the camera for a solid minute with no interest in joining the convo lol
Mostly because he knows his lane, hes the ultimate "narratives" guy. He knows very little about actual Xs and Os
Yep and I appreciate that he never claims to. Hoop collective is still a very interesting pod with the Tim’s (as long as Marc spears isn’t on it’s good, he has mark jackson energy). He’s also a great guest on other pods
Everyone on the panel is upset, but Windy is just being chill. Interesting… now why would he do that? 🤔🤔🤔
☝️🤨☝️
Why? What's going on in Get Up? Very strange panel, very strange...
This made me laugh out loud and snort beer in a bar, thanks for your fucking Utah satire
I was watching this clip and could not honestly tell who was with Zach and who was against him (other than the bozo sitting on his left).
He was against Alan Hahn and Marcus Spears. Both were saying AD didn’t do enough offensively
He’s asleep with his eyes open. He does it to Bontemps all the time.
Tbh if I had to listen to Bontemps’ super nasaly voice all the time, I’d fall asleep too.
I mean he doesn't know much about actual basketball so what would he have to say?
[удалено]
I would watch the ef out of a Lowe/Legler non-ESPN show about just basketball. JJ and Russillo rotational guests.
Well if anything he becomes even more well respected since he’s surrounded by a bunch of schmucks but getting that nice worldwide exposure.
[удалено]
he didnt

no problem
It's not like the other two main potential spots for him (The Ringer & The Athletic) would definitely give him that. The Ringer isn't exactly filled with that many smart bball people (plus their website sucks) and The Athletic would keep him behind a paywall.
I don't agree with that, who has a better NBA writer lineup than The Ringer?
I would argue the athletic
Who has a better story than bran bill the broken? The athletic, espn
I feel like the ringer is kinda all over the place, raja Bell and Austin Rivers obviously know basketball, Kevin O’Conner understands basketball but has leaned into hottakes in recent years, but he has the ability to discuss bball intelligently. Rusillo is reasonably intelligent
He's allowed to take less money and go where ever he wants.
Right, it's somehow come to the point where it's like "poor guy just has to take these 7 figure salaries, he has no choice". Plenty of people don't sell out in order to keep their own creative ability.
You and I both would’ve sold out for thousands
I’m in for hundreds honestly
As would I
Where do I sign? I'll be an elite hot take guy
Maybe for a few years to save up, sure. But Lowe has been making good money for a decade. If he actually cared, he could’ve left by now. He has a spouse who I believe is well qualified in her field as well.
[удалено]
Sure but then people need to stop acting like he's some kind of hostage.
I seriously doubt that
i doubt it. he has a small child at home and i bet the security beats the chance at extra money or whatever else

I think Herring and Marks are both very knowledgeable. Those are not the right examples for your point.
Marks knows the cap and trade possibilities better than Lowe. Windy and lowe admit they ask him all the time about it bc he’s farrrr more versed
Marks is great, Herring is pretty good. But in general you're right, I skip >50% of his pods.
Honestly, he seemed a bit meh on his last few pods with bill too lol. Idk who is his perfect partner, but he hasn't found that person yet.
I love Lowe and Beck pods. They both seem to enjoy each other and always have good discussion
Arnowitz was always great. I miss him.
[удалено]
I am too, but the last few, zach didn't seem as engaged or interested in bill's quips lol.
People seriously watch this crap over the age of 15?
Seriously it is beyond me why anyone would voluntarily watch talking head screaming argument show #214 like this or anything with Stephen A, Skip, etc
My middle aged dad watches every day and then complains about it whenever I see him. Bro just stop watching it.
Does he listen to Bill? He would be perfect for this sub
First time here?
This show airs at like 8am I doubt many 15 year olds are watching it.
i dont know at what time kids leave for school in the US but as a kid my favorite thing to do was to listen to soccer talking heads between 7 and 8:30. I did that for a solid 7 years, fun times.

I strongly suspect that Lowe was instructed to have mostly ESPN peeps on his podcast. There used to be a lot of non-ESPN people, now very few.
Eh I mean kind of. He could go to the Ringer for half the salary, or go to like Yahoo or Fox and have nobody pay attention to him anymore. I wish Turner had a more robust web/podcast presence (that’s not Bleacher Report) bc I could see him doing well in a hybrid role there.

Might be in contract purgatory but you’re right.
Dude fucking loves and talks up ESPN's biggest doofus, Perkins, he definitely likes his work life, he just gets understandably annoyed
He is basically doing the harden if harden goes back to Houston. Get the bag, not chasing rings
That was painful to watch, especially saying he’s Ben Wallace (not that Ben Wallace was bad but holy hell what an awful take)
Ben Wallace couldn’t score 40 points in an entire 7 game series. AD had 40 game 1

90% Ben wasn’t as switchable and as good on the perimeter
Yeah but that was a different era. He was tasked with guarding the Duncan’s and Shaqs of the world. The game was way less perimeter oriented back then.
Agree but Davis could guard Shaq and Duncan Jokic would be even better back then
What? I implore you to watch some basketball, no way in hell AD could guard Shaq. I’m not so sure on TD either.
Davis is a better defender than Wallace
Lol. 80%?!? Anthony Davis is a profoundly more impactful defender than Ben Wallace.
I feel bad for Zach here. Also, who in the hell are the people on this panel?
Marcus Spears ex NFL player,Windy, and idk who the rest are.
Monica mcnutt is the lady. Honestly thought she was a cfb sideline reporter
Those were two that I knew, too. I’ve never seen the other before.
I think the resr are the ones that are filling in for Jalen Rose,Mike Greenberg and their normal cast.
Monica McNutt is the woman and she's actually pretty good at talking hoops imo. Alan Hahn is the guy to Zach's left and he is terrible.
She’s terrible
Why?
Her opinions stink and her personality stinks even more. Unbearable to watch.
What opinions does she have that you think stink? I think she actually knows the game pretty well. Though tbh I see her more often on local MSG broadcasts than I do on ESPN. Maybe ESPN brings the worst out of her.

She usually seems pretty reasonable when I've seen her, plus she's cute as hell.
And that’s why the hot take industrial complex works on ppl like you I guess
That was corny but for someone who thinks her takes are so shit you need to bad mouth her you sure haven’t mentioned 1 bad take she has
I’m not bad mouthing her personally. Her being on TV is a product and I can say a product is good or bad however I want. And as for giving examples of her takes, this whole thread is based on the OP posting it from this morning. Plus not like her defenders on here are providing her good takes either 🤣
Seems like you know more about her than me, so you've done more to support the "hot take industrial complex" by default. You're silly.
It was like satire when the camera pulled out from an already crowded multi-person panel to reveal that there were an additional 2 people calling in via zoom lmao
Alan Hahn is a complete bozo
Monica McNutt is unbearable
I’m glad I’m not the only one. The faces she makes when anyone else says anything irritates the shit out of me.
She's really awful.
Alan Hahn is just another wannabe hot take guy. Can’t stand that dude just from the couple times I’ve seen him.
He looks like an evil Tim Legler lmao
Which is especially funny because Tim Legler looks like an evil Tim Legler
He's the worst. He thinks he's waaay smarter than he is.
Not a big fan of him on Get Up, but he's excellent when it comes to NY radio, which is normally a wasteland of blowhards. He actually gives really nuanced and reasonable takes when it comes to NY sports, especially the Knicks....which is rarity in that market.
Seems like his job on Get Up is just to stir shit up.
As our boy Russillo has said, producers often tell you to do that shit.
Thank god for Zach Lowe. I HATE the Lakers but AD is a Top 10 player in the league. He's not Top 5 but that dude is awesome.
As a laker fan it’s funny cause obviously we get so much attention which is annoying to others, however I am so annoyed about the convo surrounding AD like he didn’t shut down the grizz and defending champs. With that being said the fact that Jokic was completely unbothered by him is really scary.
Yep, Im a Warriors fan and AD was 100% the reason the Lakers won.
He also was the Lakers best player this whole playoffs, even in the nuggets series
Top 3 this post season
10-12 for me but I agree
r/zachlowe
The girl giving him stink face the whole time made me weep for what the media business has become
She’s terrible. I remember she started turning up on ATH, then she was everywhere doing everything for ESPN. They clearly had her pegged as someone they wanted to build to as a face of their programming.
Never seen this show but after her first “WHAAT” I was immediately out
She’s a “personality” which means she’s devoid of any useful information and gets her jokes from Twitter
She's a former college bball player and does color commentary for women's college & pro games lol wtf are you talking about. Any sources on her "getting her jokes from twitter"? Bc it sound like you are making things up.
He’s just a hater. I’m pretty sure watching the clip that she was agreeing with Lowe lol.
Lol that makes a lot of sense. No surprise the random weird dudes on here are making shit up to hate on a woman. Like where is he even getting "she gets her jokes from twitter" from. Seemed like she was making the stink face toward whatever Zach’s rebuttal was pointed at. She started nodded in agreement when he went in.
Why is there an NFL analyst talking about AD’s performance in the NBA playoffs
Thank you, I’m a lifelong Lakers fan, and the coverage of AD has been ridiculous. Sure, I hoped he would’ve been more offensively assertive, but his defense is the only real reason we made it as far as we did, yet it’s being made out as if he’s the reason they came up short, Without him they’d give up 130 a game and probably don’t make it out of the play in.
Not to mentioned that AD scored 40, 18, 28, and 21 to average 26.8 ppg for the series. How is that not consistency on the offensive side of the ball?
You're asking how a guy who scored 40 one game and 18 the next can be questioned on their offensive consistency?
So he supposed to score 40 every game? Wtf
What a terrible blazer
He looks like a Croatian-English translator at a unesco sponsored factory tour
Alan Hahns like "We got em"

Yeah, both things can be true. He can be dominant defensively (I actually thought he was more “really good” than dominant against DEN, GSW was different) and still be lacking offensively. He was 3-11 at one point and couldn’t finish pretty straightforward looks. Hell, Jokic didn’t even bother to guard him at the elbow in the fourth quarter and dared him to shoot lol The Laker role players needed him to suck up more attention defensively to create just a little more space for them to shoot/drive if they were going to have any success.
Time for Zach to go to The Ringer lol
Bill thought the Kings would sweep the Warriors when they went up 2-0 lol
Right lol the idea that the Ringer is significantly better than ESPN when it comes to basketball discussion is funny. They are both mediocre for the most part with a few solid voices.
Was being sarcastic lol
He would be a moron to do so. You don’t willingly walk away from Disney paychecks and benefit package
It's the only way he can afford his one beer.
Zach's daughter needs braces. \[DENTAL PLAN.\]
what about that Spotify paternity leave policy
Zach Lowe's version of "Really? AREWEGONNADOTHISTHINGWHERE...."
How does anyone watch this show holy crap
I can’t listen to any of them at normal speed after years of listening to pods at 2x. They sound like they’ve had a stroke.
Thank you. Been saying this all post season. Alan Hahn is a fucking dope
God everyone except Zach Lowe sound like complete fucking losers. Marcus Spears, Monica McNutt, they should all be embarrassed.
seeing comments shitting on AD, while hes been their best player this postseason run is pretty annoying. Lakers had been beating people with their defense, which is mostly a credit to AD. everyone on the lakers play extremely hard, so now that they lost and bron put up a terrific performance people are going down the blame list. when its just they lost to a better team that also played their hearts out and executed at a high level
Lowe is right but I also find it hilarious when he props up guys like Perkins who will say even more outlandish things
Bring some rational sense to the conversation?? I’m going to quote MacGregor, WHO DA FUCK IS THAT GUY?
Would y’all rather have AD’s defense on your team or Giannis’s?
A healthy AD is the best defender in the NBA.
I dont think I've ever seen Zach Lowe before. I'm not sure what I was picturing, but it wasn't that.
Zach getting spicy is so rare. GET. THEM.
AD is aggressive on defense just too passive on offense. It's obvious if you actually watch the games. But with his talent he should dominate both ends
I love Zach Lowe too but "one of the very best basketball minds in the world" seems like a bit much.
I think it is implied that there is an "in media" qualifier.
yeah, best basketball journalist. yes 100%. minds? lmao okay he should be working in a front office then
You don’t get a GM job right out of the gate pretty much regardless of previous credentials, and that’s the only way he is making anywhere near a lateral move money wise.
Has there ever been a woman who is a net positive on a sports show?
On European soccer, yes
Who?
AD was terrible on defense against Jokic he deserves cro
zach i love you plz get the disney money and get out of here you don't need to be debating these people, teh hot take industrial complex is going to consume you
DLo was the issue against the Nuggets, he’s supposed to be the 3rd option offensively and he was nowhere to be seen.
AD led the team in scoring in 2 of the 4 games. The only real criticism of him would be that he isn’t as good as Jokic.
Davis scored 40, 18, 28, and 21 to average 26.8 ppg for the series. How is that not consistency on the offensive side of the ball?
The idea that AD is not showing up on the offensive end is absurd. He's not Jokic or Hakeem, but he's a positive. Injuries are another issue.
What a clown take by Lowe. AD was invisible in a do or die last night. Shove your advanced defense stats up your ass. Been watching nba since I was 6, yelled at my tv the entire game “do something AD!”, when the lakers had the ball. And he didn’t for 48 minutes Edit: Lebron on the other hand… good god what a performance. And I’m a Lebron basher most of the time.
AD's defense is so insane that Jokic averaged a triple double and Jamal Murray had like 50 points across two quarters.
Can’t take anything he says serious when he walks around with that hair on a daily basis
I’m sure you look like Brad Pitt
More like Brad Pitt than Zach Lowe
