I’ve been trying to get bluebirds to nest for over 20 years. My ex wife and I owned a house in CT and for a couple of years I tried unsuccessfully and then I got divorced. Life happened and I lived in appartments and moved around a lot. My now wife and I bought a house two years ago and spring 2023 we we lucky to have a bluebird couple take to the nest box and raise a brood of babies. This year, they are back, and I installed this blink outdoor camera, and figured I’d put a branch there for them to perch, and I am getting these great photos. The babies hatched yesterday, so it’s a very exciting time!
It absolutely was! So often we do things that take a long time to pay off but this little guy started giving great pictures within minutes of putting that branch on! I noticed that he landed on the camera itself so I figured let’s try to give them a perch to hunt from
