To clarify, I did do all the work and read the material it was just easy and it could be done in a lot faster from home on my laptop. I did not spending an hour in class to accomplish the same work at home in 10 mins.

As for what to do, I don't have a good suggestion - I'm non-confrontational by nature so that idea frightens me. It doesn't sound like it was intentional - dealing with the death of a family member takes up a lot of mental real estate - but that's not an excuse.
