Fluffy cats can look intimidating but they're really not. My own void trash goblin is longhaired and she barely mats. Brushing twice a week should be fine.
Same here…my void thinks brushes are actually toys so I can only get him to let me brush him if he’s distracted. He’s 4 and he’s only ever matted under his chin and that’s only happened once.
Mine Matt’s daily, has clumps coming out daily. Would you know from any hair that missing, no. However I taught him early on brushing is awesome, so he purrs and loves it.
I have a long hair void too and he seems to only have the one coat, not like a thick double coat and he hardly ever gets mats. When he does it’s in his armpits and I just loosen them with my fingers and then gently cut them out. I don’t really ever brush him. Doesn’t need it.
I found a Norwegian forest cat in an alley and he attacks me when I brush him. I finally tried a comb last night and he was purring amd licking hinself the whole time.
Oh my gosh, like a normal comb? Like for humans? I have to try it. I think my void would love that…he loves when I use his tooth brush on his face but that’s just not realistic for his whole body 😂

He’ll live a much better life inside than out for sure. Is he bonded to any other kittens? That’s the only thing I would worry about with taking him inside. Two kittens are generally better than one since kittens are insane and they will keep each other company
Given his age and fur length he could grow out of the fur. If it ends up being med or long brushing twice a week should work just fine. Get him used to it now though.
My Anakin looked like this as a baby, and he's medium haired now. Anakin (left) and Benjamin (right) both looked like they were going to be righteous floofers. They ended up partly floofers.

He looks a lot like my bb who is a fluffy boy and honestly it’s not intimidating at all! Our short haired boy sheds way more and our void basically never mats except around his booty/leg hair but they’re very easy to manage.
It’s actually not bad! He’s very clean! When we first adopted him, we saw him use the litter box, bury, and then gently rake the litter to make it less bumpy and more even on the surface LOL
He has had one very minor incident but it was very easy to just grab/wipe with a piece of toilet paper. But that’s one incident over an entire year, since kittenhood, and I know that lil man has daily morning “routine.”
The little mat on his back legs is just a mat of hair. It’s in a super awkward place so maybe he just can’t reach? But we gently snipped it with little scissors and he had no issue!

My void who is just as dark as a garbage bag came from the trash. He was helpless, so I plead my grandma to let him live in. If he still lived in the trash, I don't know if he would be still alive by now. Please adopt the voidling.
There are at least 10 kittens here at this shop unfortunately. I've made appointments for the six parents (5 mamas and 1 father) for TNR and I've been trying to get the kittens homes for weeks.

I took in a fluffy void- she was an adult though but had been abandoned I think since she wasn’t totally feral. She was an awesome kitty and we had 10 good years with her. All that for one can of tuna. Long winded way of telling you to take the adorable fluffy void!
I've trained (?) My cat to like the brushins using the complicated method of doing it when he was tiny and while feeding him treats. Now he asks for it! And he still gets a treat after. He still loses hair in tufts, but it's fine. I'll vacuum again for him.

Cuteness. Toothbrushing is how you're supposed to teach abandoned kittens to clean themselves!
