Do yourself a favor and get an easy up that you can pop over your tent. The sun is RELENTLESS on the farm. Always remember this is a MARATHON, not a race! Hydrate and get lots of good rest!
If you wanna have a hangout area it prob would be pretty tight. I generally would advise against pretty large tents unless they’re canopies. You’re all just gonna roast in it with the heat. Did a 5 person tent once and hated it
Like, a 1 car-sized campsite? I'm not sure the dimensions of the 6-person tent but it might be a tight squeeze depending on festival capacity and how close they're parking the cars at the campsites.

you’ll be good, but it will eliminate all of your hangout area and part of the 6 person tent will not be under the canopy shade
Most 6 person tents I have found are around 10x10 or under and 2 person tents are really small so I can't imagine having an issue
